Ham-Ham the Wandering Black Hamster

Book 1: Journeys

Arc 3: The Battle at the Eastern Sea, Chapter 16: The Oakiess in Sham? AKA Pigs

Previously: Ham-Ham's Master Sache had given him a task to go to the village of Sham.

Scene (Timeskip 2 days): On the road to Sham

"Hey Rai, do you know of what's going on in Sham, like creatures, beasts, or anything?"

"Hmm, I have heard that there is another continent east of Sham ruled by a group called the Oakies. The seas divides this continent and the Oakies continent, and Sham is the only port city in this country."

"So we're possibly facing an invasion of some kind, great I'm too young for this crap..."

"Hahaha, anyways I have heard that these Oakies are pig type creatures with immense physical strength. Not sure if they have any power similar to the elders though."

"Great, so we're going in blind. Well we're almost there."

"Ham-Ham, I think I can see the village."

-Scene Shift

Near the ports in the village of Sham, a warship bearing the flag of the Oinks Empire was sending troops to invade the village. They could not destroy the port since, it was the only way for them to dock their ships and boats. Nevertheless, the might of the Oakies were far superior than the strength of the hamster army that was sent by the capital. Not long after the clash between the two armies, the hamsters were almost pushed to the area that divided the residential area and the village. It was during this time that Ham-Ham and Rai arrived to the village of Sham.

"Rai, are those pink things the Oakies?"

"Yea, let's go help out those hamsters. Seems like the capital must have sent an army here."

As Ham-Ham and Rai run toward the army to fight against the Oakies, Ham-Ham unknowingly begins to project a Battle Aura. The hamster army, who was nearly on the brink of collapse began to feel better and more invigorated, while the Oakies began to feel as if something was wrong. During the hamster army's renewed defense, Ham-Ham and Rai charged forward.

As they charged forward, they saw two hamsters in front of the army. One was a clear sky blue hamster wearing a blue-purple robe that was controlling water and the other was a hamster in full metal plated armor (think of medieval armor). These two were the ones that were leading the hamster army to repel the invaders.

As they got closer to the front lines, they could see the Oakies in far greater detail. The Oakies were truly humanoid pigs that stood on two legs. Most of the Oakies wore thick leather armor and wielded iron sword with metal bucklers. The thick leather armor only bolstered their already thick hide and their swords were very deadly with their already impressive strength (I guess think of the pig in Journey to the West). The one leading the Oakies was a pig with a steel sword.

Although the elder and the army commander were both skilled and powerful, they could not manage to penetrate the Oakies' commanders armor and his thick skin. This is what allowed the Oakies army to push so far into the town. However the arrival of Ham-Ham and Rai changed all of that.

Rai quickly speed up and killed several Oakies instantly by putting his sword through their throats. This was the result of Rai's Cheetah Strike, a fast precise strike just like a cheetah. Thanks to Rai's interference the pressure that the Oakies army that was putting on the hamster army was lessened. And so the hamster army started to rally behind Rai and began to push the Oakies back.

Meanwhile, Ham-Ham managed to reach the army commander and the water elder.

"I'm here to help and I am an elder of lightening."

Female elder: "Thank the Hams, we can save the introductions for later, I hope you got something that can penetrate this pigs fat armor."

Army commander: "This pigs armor combined with his hide is just too tough compared to the other Oakies."

"Alright leave him to me. You two look pretty tired so take a quick rest and regroup your men to push them out. I'll see if I can take care of him."

The elder and the army leader left the battle to Ham-Ham and went to regroup their men. The hamster army with increasing morale and with the army commander himself commanding his men, the hamster army became a much bigger threat to the Oakies.

Back to Ham-Ham:

"I am the great Oakies Commander Honkis, the leader of this invasion. Prepare yourself little vermin."

"I am H.."

"I don't need to know your name vermin, you furry balls are all too weak. We shall let our powers speak through combat."

The Oakies leader ran at Ham-Ham with his sword and shouted Great Chop.

Honkis swung his sword down vertically at Ham-Ham, however he quickly dodged it and retaliated by infusing his stave with black lightening and smashed it into the commander's head. The blow was far too weak to affect the Oakies commander in any way and the lightening only caused him to feel a tingle. That is not to say that Ham-Ham's blow was weak, but that his skill level in infusing the energy of the flow into his staff was just far too low.

"Heh, you seem weaker than the other two. Time to die."

Honkis began to gather strength and ran to Ham-Ham with an even greater speed. Just as he was several steps away from Ham-Ham, Honkis executed his attack Swift Horizontal Great Chop.

Like his previous attack, Ham-Ham dodged it again, this time with a quick leap and countered with a black lightening right between the gap in the commanders helmet. This time it did far more damage and caused Honkis' face to swell red with first degree burns.

"You actually managed to hurt me unlike the other two. Alright state your name little furball."

"I am Ham-Ham the elder of lightening."

"Come Ham-Ham, let us do battle!"

This time, Honkis is a lot more careful and moved his body to counter any moves that Ham-Ham made. Honkis would attack Ham-Ham, while Ham-Ham would dodge and counter attack. Every time Ham-Ham counter attacked, Honkis would shift his body so that his armor took the -Ham's attacks with black lightening could do damage if it hit Honkis' skin, but with the thick leather armor, Honkis only felt sharp stings.

Five minutes into the fight with the fight seemingly going nowhere, Ham-Ham decided to that he needed to end the fight some since Ham-Ham's training time is only 3 weeks compared to the years of training that Honkis has. Sooner or later Ham-Ham would run out of stamina first.

When Ham-Ham ducked under Honkis' next swing, he quickly hit himself with a blakc lightening fist to speed up his reflexes. He aimed a black lightening under Honkis' armpit where there was an opening in his armor. Honkis shifted his foot to the side slightly to block the shot, however Ham-Ham using his enhanced reflexes shifted his staff slightly to move his fired black lightening over a bit. The result was a fried pig armpit. The reason is that Oakies have very sensitive armpits, more so than compared to other humanoids, but the armpits are usually covered in armor and it is hard to aim at the gap.

"Arrrrrrrg, you little piece of shit! I will..."

Before Honkis could finish, Ham-Ham already prepared his next move, Black Lightening Cannon.

A massive beam of black lightening fired at Honkis, effectively uplifting him and throwing him across the enemy field to near the docks.

The hamster army looked at the flying Honkis in laughter and Ham-Ham in awe. On the other hand, the Oakie army was shocked that there was a hamster this strong.

Honkis bellowed: "Y-y-you! Your just lucky that I tired myself out from fighting the other two furballs. All Oakies retreat! I repeat, we're retreating for now!"

Ham-Ham kneeled in tiredness from expending a bit too much energy. Comparatively, Rai was in a much better shape and only looked slightly winded.

As the Oakies started retreating, the hamster army let out a huge sigh of relief. From that battle, the hamster army lost almost half of their starting forces. The Oakies lost far less and for now, they have the advantage in the next battle to come. And so, this is how the First Battle at the Eastern Sea ended.
