THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR PUTTING UP WITH MY TAKING SO LONG TO GET THIS CHAPTER OUT. I HAD MAJOR WRITER'S BLOCK WHICH IS A PAIN IN THE TUSHY. I SHOULD PLEASE NOTE THE should BE GETTING AT LEAST A CHAPTER A WEEK. I WILL BE USING THE MANY OF THE IDEAS THAT MY READERS HAVE GIVEN ME.

MANY OF WHAT HAL IS EXPLAINING IS MY OWN IDEA'S NOT DC COMICS.

Chapter 4

Wally let out a loud moan of pain. He had just finished his training with Kilowog who was worse than Black Canary when it came to PT. The bulldog/rhino like alien was a monster when training but Wally did have to admit that he was starting to learn just how to use the Ring that had chosen him. The speedster learned that you have to have the will power to work the ring as it was powered by emotions.

Wally did kinda wish that Kilowog remember that he was NOT Nuallan who is said to have been a master at mastering his ring powers on the first training session. Kilowog had driven Wally into ground with his constent training or what Wally called torture. But Wally knew from what Uncle Hal would say about his ring Powers was that you had to be pushed to the limits in order to know what to do. Kilowog was the best trainer to do that as the alien had taught quite a bit of the Lanterns that made up in the Green Lantern Corps.

"How ya feeling kid?" Hall asked as he placed some food in front of almost asleep teenager. He was replied with a groan and look that could kill. Hal smiled in his head. He remembered when he first had to undergo Kiliwog's training. Hal could whole heartly say that Wally was doing better than he had done. Wally was at least awake after his first training which was something the pliot could say he wasn't.

"Don't feel bad. I barely made it out of Kilowog's training the first day. He's not a bad guy. He just pushes ya to your breaking point cause you will never know when you will reach your breaking point in battle." Hal told his 'nephew' who had only taken a few bites of his food before he was sound asleep.

Hal smiled at the sight. He would have to have a talk with Kilowog and remind him that Wally was not Nuallan. That Wally was just a 16 year old kid that was having a hard time dealing with something that he didn't believe in. But for now Hal would take Wally back to his room and let him get some much needed rest.

Once Wally was settled in his bed and the cover pulled up over his Body, Hal headed back out to the training area to see Kilowog training with Ch'p.

"Hey, Kilowog, I need to talk to you about some thing." Hal told his friend who had been with him through thick and thin.

"What do ya need to talk to me about?" The Rhino like Alien asked as he ended Ch'p's training.

"When you are training Wally, PLEASE remember that he is not Nuallan. He may look like him but Wally is his own person with his own ideas and ways of doing things. I am not saying go easy on his training but like I said Please remember that Wally is not Nuallan. Also I know that it's hard for you to not think of Wally and Nuallan as he was your good friend but think of this way. You get to train Nuallan the way that you always wanted to since he mastered his ring on the first day." Hal told his friend.

"Was I really that bad on the kid?" Kilowog asked remembering how hard he had pushed the young human who fought back in a good way everytime something happened with the ring.

"Wally is a speedster who needs to eat a lot. If they don't eat quite a bit of food every day than they could die. Wally could barely eat 2 bits before his passed out. I have the kid hooked up to an IV to give him the nourishment that he needs right now." Hal told his friend.

"I didn't know!" Kilowog exclaimed. He had never wanted to hurt the young human that was the spitting image of Nuallan minus the freckles. The kid had spunk and wasn't afraid to speak up when the time called for it.

"He's okay, but It's not me that you have to worry about. Wally's uncle is very protective of Wally who is his son in all but blood. When Nuallan's ring choose Wally and Wally went through the mind merge, Barry was about ready to kill Gauntlet for endangering his 'son'." Hal told Kilowog who looked at him.

"Are you saying that this Barry could take me on?" Kilowog asked as he looked at Hal unbelieving that a human could fight him.

Hal just gave the trainer a look. "Kilowog, Barry is a FOUNDER of the Justice League. He is not afraid to take on someone bigger than him when it comes protecting his family." Hal pointed out just a as gust of wind was heard and Kilowog was sent flying.

"What the hell did you to to my son?" Barry yelled as he pulled the dazed Kilowog up to meet him to face to face with him.

"Whoa Barry, calm down. Wally's fine. I have him on an IV. Kilowog would never endager ANY of his trainees. He pushes them to their limits and then some." Hal yelled as he tried to get Barry to remove his hands from Kilowog's neck.

"Wally is 16. He is not trained for this kind of training. He is NOT this Nuallan person and I mean no disrespect towards him. But Wally is Wally. He is a speedster not a Lantern." Barry yelled but removed his hands from Kilowog's neck.

"Barry, I can't begin to know how hard it is for you to admit that Wally is growing up since from what I have heard you have raised him since he was 4. But I do know from the stories I have heard of Nuallan is that his ring wouldn't choose just anyone. Nuallan was one of the greatest Lanterns to ever exsit but can from a hard life. Nuallan got his ring becuase he save a young child's life. Nuallan was only 14 when he got his ring and everyone and I mean everyone did have much hope for him." Kilowog said as he sheepish hung his head as he had not given Nuallan much credit or hope for being in the Lantern Corps at such a young age didn't have much hope for the kid. "But from what I can tell you is that Nuallan proved everyone wrong by mastering his ring in one day where it took many Lanterns weeks. Another thing about Nuallan is he was always the first in and that last out on missions and was a member of the Cover Ops team. Barry, you have to understand is that Nuallan did die at an old age. He died when he was just 23 human years old from injuries sustained in a battle where he was the only Lantern in the Sector. Before you say anything, Razer was not a part of the Red Lantern Corps at the time so don't blame him." Kilowog told the blond human who looked like a charging bull.

"Now, I've seen a lot of wanna be Lanterns but your nephew has the makings of a great Lantern. Not because of who he was in a past life but because he has the drive. I threw everything I could think of at Wally and you know what he did? He fought back with not just his ring but used his brain when using the ring." Kilowog finished. He was proud of the young red headed human as he didn't give up.

"But he's not a Lantern!" Barry nearly yelled out. "He has his whole life ahead of him. I am not going to let some alien blue gnome guy tell me that Wally has to leave everything behind just to guard a sector. I know I may sound selfish but Wally is only 16."

"Barry, Ganthet told me that the Guardians have no reason as of yet to make Wally become a full member of the Green Lantern Corps. Now before you say anything Barry, Nuallan didn't become a full member of the Corps until he was 18 in his race's years. The Corps is not into letting kids fight. They understand that Wally is young and has a life of Earth so they going to let Wally choose who he wants to be when he turns 18. But he will still every week have come for training." Hal explained.

"So you're saying that Wally can choose who he wants to be?" Barry asked.

"Yeah. Wally was never meant to be a Lantern but Fate is cruel." Hal said as he shrugged his shoulders.

Once again Hal was at the end of Barry's glares which could be as bad as Batman's glares at time. Hal had a feeling that Barry was going to be once again yelling at him about Wally's involvement with the Lantern Corps.

Next chapter Razor gets to know Wally and realized that Wally is somewhat like he is.
