THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL THE SUPPORT. THE FAVORITES AND FOLLOWS ARE WONDERFUL BUT I WOULD REALLY LIKE SOME REVIEWS AND IDEAS. SORRY THAT IT TOOK ME SO LONG TO GET THIS CHAPTER UP. I WAS WORKING AT A MEDEIVL FAIRE FOR THE PAST 3 WEEKENDS AND BELIEVE ME YOU CAN GET VERY TIRED AT THE END OF THE DAY WHERE ALL YOU WANT TO DO IS TAKE A SHOWER AND GO TO BED. especially after today when a major rain storm came through and soaked everything. and i mean everything and everyone.

Chapter 8

It had been several weeks since Wally had come back from Oa with the power of a Green Lantern. A power that the speedster had yet to tell his teammates about. But that was about to change.

The team was sent on a mission to find out why there was a huge amount of energy coming from an area that wasn't known for have the types of energy signals.

The team was in the middle of their mission when Kid Flash sensed that something wrong was going to happen. The sense he was feeling was coming from his ring which he had changed to look like a normal ring that he kept of his right index finger. The Green Lantern ring was slightly vibrating which he knew wasn't a good thing.

Robin held up his hand to signal that the team needed to stop. The team had come to an opening where what they saw made Kid Flash gasp slightly. The energy that the League had detected was a generator that was being Guarded by a group of Red Lanterns.

Kid Flash knew that he couldn't panic for if he did the Team would know that he knew something was going on. He had to keep his cool and try not to reveal the fact that he was a Green Lantern.

"Wally, you were on Oa for a few weeks. Do you know which Lanterns these are?" Kaldur asked via the mind link,

"Yeah, they're called the Red Lanterns which are one of the evil lanterns. They get their powers from rage. So making them mad will only give them more power. Think of it like the more Will that the Green Lanterns have in battle the more powerful they become." Kid Flash told the team.

"So we have have to be careful on how we attack but we may also have to engage in battle with The Red Lanterns. So everyone be careful." Kaldur replied as he gave orders to head down to the area to take out the Red Lanterns and stop what they were doing.

Unknown to the team, Kid Flash had a deep feeling in his gut that something was going to happen. Something really bad. Something that would change everything.

It was 10 minutes into sneaking into the base to disable the generator but they found themselves surround by several Red Lanterns.

"This is bad!" Miss Martian said as she was trapped by a red bubble that she couldn't get out of.

"Really bad." Someone replied.

"So this is the Baby Justice League." Atrocious who was the leader of the Red Lanterns as he observed his prisoners that were glaring at him. He knew they would t go with out a fight which made him very happy. "Do what you want with them." The leader of the Red Lanterns said as he disappeared

Robin out of no where was able to get a batarang and threw in the Red Lantern that was hold Miss Martian prisoner, it didn't do much but it was enough to get him to release his hold on Miss Martian. The team got into attack positions. The team knew what to do to their training everyday but they also knew that they had to fight carefully as they knew that most of their attacks could be used against them.

The fight was going in the Red Lanterns favor until Artemis had taken a hit that caused her to be stunned for a few moments but those few moments were enough for on the the Red Lanterns who looked like a floating eyeball to make a move by sending a stream of red light at the archer with the intent to kill her.

"Artemis!"

Wally didn't know how it had happened when he screamed Artemis's name but he ran faster than he had ever ran before in his life. But he was too slow to reach her in time. Wally knew that there was only one thing to do and he would do it to save Artemis.

Robin screamed as he watched a red stream of light heading towards his teammate and saw Wally running towards the archer with a faint green light surrounding him. The faint green light suddenly became brighter and brighter until the green light engulfed the Speedster. Robin swore he heard part of the Green Lantern's oath being said by Wally.

When Robin and the team could see after they had removed their hands from their eyes. They saw a green stream of light blocking the stream of light from the Red Lantern. That wasn't what surprised the team. It was who was behind the green stream of light. It was Wally who was dressed in a Green Lantern version of his Kid Flash suit.

"Get away from her!" Wally growled in a voice that scared the team. No one from the team had ever heard Wally speak like that before. Not even when he was fighting with Artemis.

"It can't be!"

"What can't be? It can't be that your going to get your but kicked by a teenager or a teenage Green Lantern." Wally snarled as the green light got brighter and stronger and the eye ball Red Lantern got flung into air and possibly into space considering the amount of force Wally put into the throw.

Once Wally had taken care of the Red Lanterns that were in the general area, he turned to Artemis who was starting to stand up but was a little wobbly on her legs.

"Are you okay?" Wally asked as he steadied the blond archer with his hands.

"Wally!?" Artemis said in a shocked voice as she saw her speedster teammate.

"I guess I have a lot of explaining to do, don't I?" Wally asked as he gave a sheepish smile and scratched the back of his head.

"That you do my friend, that you do." Kladur came up to them as M'gann checked over Artemis who would have an headache and bruises but other than that would be okay.

An hour later,

The team had called in the Justice League to get rid of the generator while they talked to Wally back at the Cave about him being a Green Lantern.

"Start Talking Wally!" Robin demanded. He was upset that his best friend had kept something like this from him. But then again he wasn't really honest when it came to many things.

"Long story short. When I went to Oa with my uncle and Hal, I found out that I am the reincarnation of the Green Lantern's greatest hero who was called Nuallan. He looked just like me save for the freckles, darker skin tone and he had elf ears. I didn't believe that I was the reincarnation of Nuallan so the Guardians which look like little blue gnomes took me to the room where Green Lantern rings go when they don't have a successor to go to. I tried on the ring that belong to Nuallan and at first nothing happened but shortly after putting on the ring I saw that memories of Nuallan and how he became a Green Lantern. Nuallan was my age when he saved a little girl from being crushed to death. The ring choose him because of his bravery. Nuallan became the greatest Green Lantern in history and he was only 18 when he got that title. He died when he was only 23 years old defending Oa from the Red Lanterns." Wally told his teammates as he tried to get out of the Green Lantern suit but was having no luck.

"But why would the ring chose you when you don't believe in reincarnation or anything like that?" Robin asked knowing his best friend's beliefs.

"That's what I've been trying to figure out myself. It took a few days for the Lanterns to realize that I was not Nuallan. I mean Kilowog who trains new Green Lanterns on how to use the ring almost killed me with training as he thought I was Nuallan. It took Hal talking to him about me and Hal saying that I wasn't Nuallan and would never be him. That I was my own person." Wally replied knowing that his teammates were having a hard time understanding what was going on. Which was understandable as he was still trying to understand what was going on.

"If I could say might say something. I really do believe that Wally could be a Green Lantern as he does have the will power to be a protector of those he cares about. Look what happened today." Kaldur said. The Atlantian meant every word that he had said. Wally may be slightly annoying at times but the Speedster was always willing to defend those he cared about.

"I agree." Hal pointed out. "Although, there is something that is concerning me."

"What is that?" Flash asked in a panic tone of voice. He was going to kill Hal for letting him talk him into taking Wally and him to Oa for a few weeks.

"From what I saw on the monitor, the light coming from Wally's ring shouldn't have been that bright or powerful. But then again, Wally is the reincarnation of Nuallan who could do many a things that The Green Lanterns thought was impossible. Perhaps a little bit of Nuallan is in Wally while Kid's still his own person." Hal explained. It was true that he had never seen such a bright light come from a Green Lantern's ring the first time it was used in battle. Like he said, Wally was the reincarnation of Nuallan who from a video he had seen of Nuallan when he first used his ring in a real battle shined bright but not at bright as when Wally used his right today. Perhaps because Wally was defending Artemis who he like the the ring shined brighter since the source of the Green Lanterns was Will and Wally had a Will to protect who he cared about.

"So the more Wally protects those he cares about, the more powerful his ring becomes or what ever powers the Lantern's rings?" M'gann asked as she didn't fully understand the Green Lantern's powers or the source.

"Yes. Lantern powers are based on emotion and we used that to power our rings. Wally had a Will to protect Artemis which made his Will stronger and thus made him stronger." Hal explained to the Female Martian the best way he could.

"What's going to happen now?" Conner asked in a protective tone of voice. He was very protective of Wally hence Wally being the first one to befriend him and teach him about the world. He wasn't going to let anything happen to Wally no matter what.

"I agreed to train Wally in how to fully use the ring. He's going to be training with me for a while but will still be training with you." Hal told the Covert Ops team.

"You told me that he had been train to use the ring by Kilowog." Batman said as he bat-glared at the pilot.

"He was trained on how to work the powers of the ring but mastering the power of the ring takes time and a discipline. Which I'm not being mean but we all know that Wally is not exactly the most disciplined in the world." Hal replied.

"That's for damn sure." Wally said as he knew that he would need more training with the ring. He almost lost control when he saved Artemis. Who knew what would happen if something worse had happened and he wasn't able to control his new found powers. The speedster didn't want to think about that.

Next chapter: Wally begins his training while the team meets the former Red Lantern Razer who comes to Earth to learn more about Wally.

Ideas are REALLY needed for the training as the only info of how to use a Lantern's ring is what I read on Wikipedia and watch in shows.
