Harry had the usual dream of the door at the end of the Black Corridor, after he fell asleep. Once again, he felt himself right by the door, but everytime he was about to turn the handle, he woke up. The same thing happened to him in this dream, and he woke up to the rays of the sun temporarily blinding him. He looked over to see if Ron was still there, but he wasn't, so he got up and got dressed for a day at Hogsmeade. He headed down to the Gryffindor Common Room to see if his two best friends were there, and much to his surprise they weren't. "I guess everyone's at Hogsmeade already." Harry thought to himself. He exited the Gryffindor Common Room, heading towards Hogsmeade pretty sure that he'd run into his girlfriend on the way.

He was in the Entrance Hall when he ran into his longtime enemy, Draco Malfoy. "Ah, it's Potty all by himself. What happened Potty? Your friends got tired of hanging around you?" Malfoy asked him. Once again, Harry found himself and his temper at its boiling point. "You know Malfoy, I thought you would've learned to stop talking about people and animals after Buckbeak nearly sliced your arm off. Or did you need to be reminded of that?" Harry retorted. Draco's smile faded away into an angry sneer. "You better watch your back Potter." Malfoy warned him, while running away. Harry smiled as he managed to control his temper, and put Malfoy in his place for now. Right after that encounter, Harry continued to head towards Hogsmeade to meet up with everybody else.

It took him another fifteen minutes to get to the Three Broomsticks, and another five minutes to find Ron and Hermione. "You mind if I join you two?" Harry asked his two friends, who were in a full-out snog session. They both pulled apart from their kissing, and looked at their best friend. "Blimey Harry, you slept like a rock. I tried waking you up five times, but you never did. Hermione reckoned that I let you sleep." Ron told Harry, as he made some room for his best mate. "Have either of you seen Daphne yet? The whole castle was deserted of students, except for that slimy git Malfoy." Harry asked his friends. Hermione answered "I saw her at Honeydukes just a little while ago. She said she was going to the new jewelry shop, then that she was coming to meet us here." Harry then felt something sit on his leg, and he looked up to see his girlfriend. "I did say that, and I meant it also." Daphne replied to them all.

Harry kissed his girlfriend fully on the lips, and hugged her. "It's nice to see you too Harry. Where have you been all morning?" Daphne asked her boyfriend. "I was sleeping in the dormitory. Between classes, homework, Quidditch, and Prefect Duty, I'm exhausted Daph. I don't see how Hermione does it." Harry replied. "Also, because I keep having that same nightmare I've been having since before I started Occlumency lessons." Harry thought to himself. Daphne and Harry ordered themselves some Butterbeer, and started talking with Ron and Hermione. "How is Quidditch Practice going anyway Harry?" Ron asked him. "You'd know if you were on the team. Angelina works us almost harder than Oliver did. She's also stressing because our Keeper got hurt badly in the last game, so she has to find a replacement for her. Not to mention the fact that we're coming up on the last game before holidays." Harry told Ron. Ron looked at Harry with a look of excitement and nervousness "When are tryouts for Keeper?" Ron asked him. "They're next Saturday. Why do you ask?" Harry asked Ron.

"Isn't it obvious? Ron is going to tryout for Keeper." Hermione told Harry. "Really Ron?" Harry asked Ron. Ron's faced flushed with embarrassment, as he nodded at his friend. "That would be excellent. It's better playing with people you know." Harry told Ron. Ron smiled at the encouraging words that his friend just told him. "I'll just need to practice on the old Cleansweep Eleven mum gave me for my birthday." Ron told everyone. "I'll help you out with that." Harry told Ron. The friends enjoyed their day in Hogsmeade, and much to Harry's surprise, they had built a Quality Quidditch Supplies store. Harry and Ron walked in their while Hermione and Daphne walked inside of the new perfume parlor in Hogsmeade. Harry talked to the man at the counter, and asked him "Do you do broom examinations here?" The clerk told Harry "Indeed we do. What kind of broom are we talking about? A Cleansweep 11, a Moontrimmer, a Nimbus 2000, a Nimbus 2001?" Harry told the clerk "Actually, I have a Firebolt that has been feeling a bit weird. It doesn't fly as well as it usually does. And that's saying something, because it's always been in peak condition." The clerk almost had a heart attack when Harry told him it was a Firebolt that he'd be working with, and immediately told Harry "Bring it in as soon as you can, and you'll get a free inspection and half off on fixing it. Alright?" Harry nodded his head, then bought two Broomstick Servicing Kits for his Firebolt, and another one for Ron's Cleansweep.

They met up with Daphne and Hermione away from the Perfume Parlor, so they didn't end up smelling like the girl fragrance. "They had so many different perfumes in there, but the one I wanted was out of my price range. Thirty-five Galleons that I don't have." Daphne told Harry, as they all walked back to Hogwarts. Harry smiled at Daphne and kissed the top of her head, then told her "I don't think you need the perfume." He then thought to himself "I know what I'm getting her as a anniversary present now." They left Hogsmeade with six bags of Honeydukes sweets altogether, a few Broomstick Servicing Kits, some Butterbeer, and everything else they bought at the ever-expanding village. "The next thing you know, they'll be building a Gringotts in Hogsmeade as well." Harry joked to his friends, as they walked into the Entrance Hall and headed to the Great Hall. Daphne sat at the Gryffindor Table with Harry, Ron, and Hermione for dinner. The other Gryffindors were used to it, but the Slytherins still gave Daphne the death glare for sitting at the Gryffindor Table.

"I don't think the Slytherins are ever going to get used to you dating me." Harry told Daphne, as he looked at the Slytherin Table. "That's their tough luck then, because I don't intend to let you go anytime soon." Daphne replied to him with a smile on his face. Harry kissed her fully on the lips, then told her "You took the words right out of my mouth." They had an incredible dinner like they always did at Hogwarts, and Harry noticed that the House-Elves were expanding out their dinner options. This time they made more than chicken, potatoes, and the usual food they served. Harry could've sworn that he saw: sushi, hamburgers, hot dogs, ribs, steak burritos, and many more items. The true shock came when dessert did. Instead of the usual pudding, the House Elves added: mini-cakes, ice cream of all flavors, many different types of cookies, and many more dessert items.

"I think Hogwarts is upgrading just like Hogsmeade is." Hermione told the others, while she tried to stifle a yawn. "No kidding. The House Elves really stepped up in the kitchen." Ron replied. Hermione glared at Ron and he instantly became silent, and Harry and Daphne laughed at their friends. "I didn't mean it like that Hermione. I wasn't criticising them, I was just complimenting how they were expanding on their food selections." Ron told her nervously. Hermione scoffed at him, and started heading towards the Gryffindor Common Room. Ron ran after her to try and repair his relationship with his girlfriend. "Now it's time for me to escort you to the Slytherin Common Room." Harry told Daphne, after he kissed her on her forehead. Daphne smiled at Harry, then replied "I would like that very much, Mr. Potter." Harry laughed at the way Daphne said his name, as they headed to the dungeons towards the Slytherin Common Room.

"There I was in front of the Hungarian Horntail trying to unhook my Firebolt from the turret, and when she was about to attack me I used my Parseltongue abilities to talk to it. After I explained the situation, the Horntail gave me a ride back to the eggs, and I grabbed the Golden Egg." Harry told his girlfriend when they arrived at the entrance to the Slytherin Common Room. "So that's how you got through the First Task without getting so much as a blemish on your body. I was wondering why you were unhurt when I saw you inside of the castle." Daphne said to him. "Pretty much. I'm glad I ran into you though. You have the most beautiful eyes I ever saw." Harry told her. It was Daphne's turn to kiss Harry, and he thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a full five minutes before either of them pulled away from the kiss, and Daphne whispered in Harry's ear "Good night love." Harry returned the good night, and watched his girlfriend enter the Slytherin Common Room.

Harry turned to leave the dungeons, but turned around again when he heard the entrance to the Slytherin Common Room open again. He turned to find himself looking at Draco, Crabbe, Goyle and Daphne. Goyle was holding Daphne by the scruff of her neck, and Draco and Crabbe had their wands pointed at Harry. Harry had pulled his wand out and pointed it at both Draco and Crabbe with a look of anger on his face. "What are you doing with my girlfriend Malfoy?" Harry asked with a growl. "Simple. I'm going to make her mine, and you're going to watch me." Draco replied with a smile at his face. Harry pointed his wand at Draco, and nonverbally casted "Stupefy!" A bright streak of red light came out of Harry's wand, and hit Malfoy square in the chest. Malfoy crumpled to the floor with his eyes rolled in the back of his head, and Crabbe and Goyle looked at Harry in horror. Crabbe casted "Rictumsempra" at Harry, but he countered with "Protego" and sent Crabbe's spell right back at him.

Crabbe was the next person to fall to the ground unconscious, and Goyle shoved Daphne in Harry's direction not wanting to be the third person. Daphne hugged Harry and looked at him with tears in her eyes. Harry hugged her back, and whispered in her ear "We're going to Dumbledore's Office. Right now. We're getting you out of Slytherin before something bad happens to you. I cannot stand to lose you. Let's go." Daphne nodded her head at her boyfriend, and they both started running towards Professor Dumbledore's Office. They reached it in about ten minutes and Harry told the gargoyle "I need to speak with Professor Dumbledore. Right now. It's important." The gargoyle looked at Harry, then looked at Daphne and saw that she had tears on her face, and it leapt aside for the two. They stepped on the rotating staircase and waited for it to reach the door. When it did, Harry knocked on the door and waited for Professor Dumbledore to answer. "Come in." came Dumbledore's voice, and Harry and Daphne entered.

"What can I do for you Mr. Potter and Ms. Greengrass?" Professor Dumbledore asked the two. "Professor, is there anyway that I can get Daphne out of Slytherin right now. I was just escorting her to their Common Room, but when I was about to leave Malfoy and his goons held her hostage right in front of me. He intended to do things to her, while having me watch Professor." Harry told him. Dumbledore sighed then told Harry "As much as I believe you Harry, I cannot do that unless Ms. Greengrass wants to leave Slytherin." Dumbledore told Harry. Dumbledore then asked Daphne "Do you want to leave Slytherin, Ms. Greengrass?" With tears on her face, she nodded her head then continued crying. Dumbledore pointed his wand at the Sorting Hat, and it flew into his hands. "Place this on your head Ms. Greengrass, and it'll sort you into a different House." Dumbledore told Daphne. Daphne took the Sorting Hat and placed it on top of her head. "I'm sorry about your current predicament. I never thought this would happen to you. I saw courage and cunning inside of you, and thought Slytherin would not do you wrong. Now it's time I changed my mind, and place you in your true House. Welcome, Ms. Greengrass, to the wonderful Gryffindor House." the Sorting Hat sang to Daphne. Her green and silver trim on her school robes turned into scarlet and gold. The serpent emblem on her robe turned into a lion. "Welcome to Gryffindor, Daph." Harry told her as he took her hand. "Shall I escort you to your new Common Room?" he asked her. Since she was still shaken up by what happened outside of the Slytherin Common Room she just nodded her head. They left Professor Dumbledore's Office, and headed towards Gryffindor Tower.

"You're going to love being in Gryffindor. Nobody makes fun of you, and nobody tries to hurt you in any way. Besides, you get to wake up and see me in the morning. That can't be so bad." Harry told Daphne. She started laughing when he told her all of that, and then replied "I'd very much like that, dear." It took them fifteen minutes to reach the Fat Lady's portrait, because of how slow they were walking. Harry was trying to comfort his girlfriend, while cheering her up at the same time. He succeeded by the time they reached the Fat Lady's portrait, when Harry told her the password (which was "Mimbulus Mimbletonia"). They entered the Gryffindor Common Room, and Daphne gasped at how different the Gryffindor Common Room was from the Slytherin Common Room. "It gives off the feeling at being at home, but you know that you're not at home." Daphne told herself. Harry thought that she was talking to him, and he replied "That it does. It makes it easier to adjust here." Daphne smiled at her boyfriend, then asked him "Where is the Girls' Dormitory? I'm tired and would like to go to bed." Harry pointed at the stairs on the right that led to the Girls' Dormitory. "See you in the morning?" Harry asked her with a smile on his face. Daphne kissed him goodnight, then told him "You know you will. Good night." Harry watched his girlfriend walk up the stairs to the Girls' Dormitory, and as soon as she reached the door, he called out "Good night."

He could hear her giggle from the top of the stairs, then he headed out of the Common Room for Prefect Duty. He saw that Hermione started without him, because of the fact that he saw several crying First and Second Year students. Even some of the Third Years that were caught were crying, and Harry found Hermione near Professor Trelawney's classroom on the Seventh Floor. "I see you've laid down the law for the students out of bed, Hermione. I just saw First, Second and Third Years crying in the hallway. What did you punish them with?" Harry asked her. "I gave them all week-long detentions with Mr. Filch. That ought to straighten them out." Hermione replied. "Oy Hermione, did you forget that we were exactly like that from our First Year and even until now. You should lighten up on them. Sending them to Filch is like giving them the Death Penalty." Hermione stopped and looked at Harry with a look of shock. "I cannot believe the day would come when you were right. I completely forgotten about our school record." Hermione ran back towards the students she handed out punishments to, and told them that they didn't have to do the detentions. She did however tell them that if they were caught out of bed after hours again, then she would give them punishments so severe that they wouldn't even think about sneaking around again.

Harry shuddered at Hermione when she came back towards him, and when he saw the looks of horror on the faces of the students Hermione just threatened. "Remind me to never get on your bad side Hermione." Harry told her. Hermione smiled at her friend, and they continued scouring the castle looking for students out of bed. The rest of the Prefect Duty was uneventful, and Harry and Hermione headed back to the Gryffindor Common Room. "Good night Hermione." Harry told her as he climbed the stairs going to the Boys' Dormitory. "Night Harry." Hermione returned as she walked up the stairs to the Girls' Dormitory. Harry got into his four-poster bed and took off his glasses, then placed them on his nightstand. "Hermione's in for a surprise when she goes into the Girls' Dormitory." Harry thought to himself, as he looked at the roof of his bed. He could hear Ron snoring in the bed next to him, and he smiled at the noise. "Things are finally settling down at Hogwarts." Harry thought to himself, as he slowly drifted off to sleep.
