The days went by for Harry and his friends, and the students of Hogwarts, and they found themselves in the last day of the term. "Ah finally. Now I get to see what your house looks like, Daph. I've arranged everything with Sirius, and he said it's okay if I stay with you guys over the holidays." Harry told Daphne, as both they, Ron and Hermione came out of their last class of the day. The day was Friday, and their last class happened to be Defense Against The Dark Arts. "Harry, make sure you're on your best behavior while over at Greengrass Manor." Sirius told his godson, since he had a feeling Harry was going to be walking in his father's footsteps. "I'm always on my best behavior Sirius." Harry told his godfather. Sirius laughed at what Harry told him, and reminded him "Not at school you're not. The Philosopher's Stone, the Chamber of Secrets, your Third Year, and the Triwizard Tournament. Not to mention your spite for a certain Potions professor that should remain unnamed." Sirius then gave a fake cough that sounded remotely like 'Snivellus'.

Harry smiled at his godfather, and continued walking towards the Gryffindor Common Room with his girlfriend, and their best friends. "I think that we should study over the holidays. Our O.W.L. exams are in six months, and I hear that after the holiday, there's going to be even more of an workload from our teachers." Hermione told everyone else. "You're worried about homework, but I'm much more worried about my face turning into what it did weeks ago, even though it hasn't happened since then. Even Shade hasn't been talking to me, and that's worrying." Harry responded automatically. Daphne, Ron and Hermione looked at Harry in worry, showing guilt to have clearly forgotten about the whole Shade situation, and that surprised Harry a lot. "Are you telling me that Sirius and I are the only ones who remembered I had something in my head that could take over my body at any moment?" Harry asked his best friends and his girlfriend. Daphne was the first to admit the truth, as she told him "Sorry love, but between classes and spending time with you, I completely forgot about the Shade situation."

Ron gave Harry a weak smile, that told him an answer similar to Daphne's, and Hermione just kept looking at the ground, as if she was trying to find something. "I'm not mad you guys, but it was you all who came down my back when I didn't tell you about Shade. Now that everybody remembers about my situation, let's try to enjoy the holidays with no problems or worries." Harry told them. Daphne, Ron and Hermione slowly nodded at what Harry told them, but deep down, they all still felt guilty that they forgot about his Shade situation. While they were walking up the Grand Staircase towards Gryffindor Tower, Hermione had a sudden revelation about Harry's situation. "Harry, Shade is a mass of darkness right?" Hermione asked him. With confusion clearly written on his face, he nodded at Hermione. "If he's darkness, then the Patronus Charm might be powerful enough to push him out of your body. It's worth a try right?" she asked him. Harry looked at her, then said "If you're suggesting that one of you are going to cast a Patronus Charm at me to get rid of Shade, then I'm in. I don't feel comfortable with him inside of my body. On the off chance that this doesn't work, thanks for the suggestion Hermione."

Hermione pulled out her wand at Harry, then placed it back into her robe pocket. "Since you're the one dating him, you should do it Daphne. Just focus on all of the happy and loving moments that you and Harry have had." Hermione told Daphne. Daphne pointed her wand at Harry, and started thinking about all of their wonderful times together. How they first met and fell for each other, the Yule Ball, their dates, and finally when they consummated their relationship a few weeks ago. When she was ready to go, she casted "Expecto Patronum!" Daphne's corporeal patronus, which took the form of a doe, ran through Harry's body. When it did, Harry fell to his knees, and started screaming in pain. A black, almost dark aura came out of Harry's body, and it was growling. Ron, Hermione and Daphne looked at the dark aura, and Hermione instantly said "Shade." Shade looked at the three in front of him, and gave a wicked smile to them. "You may have removed a portion of my soul from Harry's body, but it'll take more than a Patronus Charm to completely erase me from his body. I look forward to your next attempt to get rid of me." Shade told them, while a small portion of his being dissipated into thin air, and the rest went back into Harry's body. Daphne instantly started picking Harry up off the ground, and was helped by Ron moments later. "We should take him to the Hospital Wing, just in case." Hermione told them.

Luckily for them, they were on the Fourth Floor, when Hermione had this little revelation. It took them close to no time to get Harry to the Hospital Wing, and on one of the many unoccupied beds. "What's wrong with him this time?" Madam Pomfrey asked the group of teens. "I had an idea to get rid of Shade, but it half worked. We got rid of a small portion of his being, but not all of it." Hermione told Madam Pomfrey. At the current moment, Harry had passed out from pieces of Shade being expelled from his body, and most of him going back into his body. Madam Pomfrey waved her wand over Harry's body, stopped when she reached his nether regions and raised an eyebrow. She then continued the examination, making sure he didn't have any permanent or life-threatening injuries. "Well, he seems to just need some sleep for the moment, but Miss Greengrass, may I speak to you for a moment in my office?" Madam Pomfrey asked her. Daphne nodded at her, and followed her to her office.

"What is it Madam Pomfrey?" Daphne asked as soon as she closed the door. "It seems that this Shade being inside of Mr. Potter is altering his body. This, of course, includes his genital area. When I was inspecting him earlier, it seems that Mr. Potter's groin has gotten bigger, but he's also slowly becoming infertile. If you don't get Shade out of Mr. Potter's body in about five or six months, you and Mr. Potter, if you intend to get married, will never be able to bear none of his biological children." Madam Pomfrey explained to Daphne. Daphne covered her mouth with her hands, and gave a silent sob. Madam Pomfrey patted Daphne's back, and told her "I recommend that you find out whoever else was possessed by this Shade character, and hope that they found a way to expel him completely." Daphne gave a slight nod, then went back over to Harry's bed with Madam Pomfrey. She down in the chair by the bed, and grabbed Harry's hand with her own. She also took his glasses off of his face, and placed them onto the the table by the bed. All she could think about, was how Madam Pomfrey told her about what Shade was doing to Harry's body, and the fact that they might not be able to have children one day.

The hours went by, and Madam Pomfrey came to tell Daphne, Ron and Hermione that it was time to leave the Hospital Wing. Ron and Hermione got up to leave, but Daphne stayed planted on the chair that she was sitting in. "I want to stay here with him." Daphne said automatically. Madam Pomfrey knew by the look in Daphne's eyes, that she wasn't going to leave quietly, so she allowed it. "You two have to go. I'll make sure that Miss Greengrass and Mr. Potter come back to you first thing tomorrow. Although that means that you won't be going home until tomorrow." Madam Pomfrey told Ron and Hermione. "Alright. Thank you Madam Pomfrey." Hermione told her. Madam Pomfrey nodded at Hermione, then went to get Daphne a spare blanket. Ron and Hermione headed to Gryffindor Tower to go pack their stuff for their trips back home for the holidays. Daphne laid her head down on Harry's stomach, and slowly fell asleep. By the time Madam Pomfrey came with the spare blanket, Daphne was fully asleep and still holding Harry's hand. Madam Pomfrey smiled at the young couple, and gently laid the blanket over Daphne's back so she wouldn't get cold. After Daphne fell asleep, she had a peaceful dream. It was about her and Harry living in their own house, they have a dog, and they had three beautiful children. Two boys and one girl. The girl was the youngest, and the boys loved to protect their sister. Anyway, the dream she had, was her and Harry sitting on a porch swing, while watching their children playing in the front yard. Everything was perfect. No impending war to worry about, no worrying about the state of the world, and no worrying about Shade. Daphne didn't realize that she was crying in her dream, until she was awoken by somebody, after what felt like minutes later.

When she fully woke up, she saw the rays of the early morning sun coming in through the windows, and Harry was looking at her with concern in his eyes. "What's wrong Daphne?" he asked her. Daphne looked at him in confusion, then rubbed her eyes with the back of her hand, and noticed that her hand was wet afterward. "Nothing's wrong yet. I just had the most wonderful dream of my life, and it might not come true." Daphne explained to Harry. "What was the dream about Daph?" Harry asked curiously. She looked at the face that she fell in love with nearly a year ago, and she broke down crying in front of him. Harry consoled her by rubbing her back, and telling her that everything would be okay. It was at this time, that Madam Pomfrey came to his bed, and delivered the bad news to Harry. "Mr. Potter, it appears this Shade that has integrated with your body, is making changes to your body. One of these changes is to your genitals, and if in five or six months you don't find a way to get him out, then you'll never be able to have your own children." Madam Pomfrey told him bluntly and efficiently. Harry looked at Madam Pomfrey without squinting, and had his mouth open wide. "So that's what she's crying about Madam Pomfrey?" Harry asked her.

Madam Pomfrey nodded her head at him, but before she could walk away from Harry's bed, Daphne raised her head from crying then asked Harry "How did you know that that was Madam Pomfrey?" Harry looked at Madam Pomfrey, then back at Daphne. "I can see her, and recognize her voice. Wait a minute...I can see her without my glasses, and she's not near me!" Harry exclaimed. He quickly got up out of the hospital bed, then looked at Madam Pomfrey's office. "I can see the names of the potions in your office Madam Pomfrey. What's happening to me?" he asked Madam Pomfrey. "I told you that the Shade inside of your body is changing your body. This is one of the many changes." Madam Pomfrey replied to him. Harry and Daphne quickly left the Hospital Wing after that, and headed to the Gryffindor Common Room. Upon their arrival nearly fifteen minutes later, Ron and Hermione were coming down with two bags each. "What's with the heavy packing you two? We're only going to be gone for two weeks, not two months." Harry joked with his friends. Hermione and Ron dropped their bags, and ran up to Harry to hug him.

"Welcome back Harry. Where are your glasses at?" Hermione asked him. "I don't need them anymore." Harry told them. They both had a confused look on their faces, so he explained what happened, except the possibility of him never having children. "Blimey mate. Shade might not be so bad after all, besides the trying to turn you into a Dark Wizard. He even made you taller and a bit more muscular." Ron noted. It was then Harry's turn to have a look of confusion upon his face, then Hermione redirected him to a full-length mirror in the common room. Harry could instantly tell what they were talking about when he looked at his reflection in the mirror. He had grown at least another six inches, and the muscles on him were well-developed. You wouldn't have thought that he was the scrawny boy whose aunt and uncle nearly starved him every summer he was with him. Harry actually looked like a normal teenager, minus the lightning-shaped scar on his forehead. When he took another look at himself, he actually thought himself royal for a moment, but quickly wiped that thought from his head. "Shade did all of this to my body? He must have an ulterior motive." Harry thought out loud. Daphne laid her head on his shoulder, and simply nodded in agreement. "Anyway, we both have an extra bag, because we packed your stuff for you. We figured that you guys would want to go straight to Daphne's place, so we helped you out by packing for you." Ron explained to the two. Harry and Daphne both nodded at their friends, with wonder in their eyes.

Harry was the first to walk over to the dropped bags, and grab his. Daphne quickly followed suit, and sat by the fireplace, while waiting for the others. Ron and Hermione got their bags also, and sat by their friends, just staring off into the fire. They stayed like that for another five minutes, until Hermione said "Come on. It's nearly time to get on the train to go home." They all got up from the comfortability of their seats, and left the Gryffindor Common Room with their luggage. It took them fifteen minutes to walk from the Gryffindor Common Room to the Entrance Courtyard, but that was partially due to the fact that Harry wanted to tell Sirius goodbye. When they were safely upon the train, they got into an empty compartment so they could talk about Shade and the imminent war that was brewing. "So when we tried to expel Shade from you using the Patronus Charm, it got rid of a small part of him. He said that he was going to look forward to what we're going to try next to try to get rid of him. I've thought of every good possible way to get rid of him, but there is hardly any chance of them working. I even thought of Dark Magic ways of trying to get rid of him, and there is a definite way, but if you use it, you'll become a Dark Wizard." Hermione explained to Harry.

Harry was looking out of the window while Hermione was giving her explanation, and his head snapped towards her as soon as the words 'Dark Magic' and 'Dark Wizard' left her mouth. "Hermione, are you mad or are you mental? I'm not using Dark Magic to get rid of a Dark Being inside of my head! That would be playing right into his hands. He wants me to become a Dark Wizard remember?" Harry asked Hermione. Hermione sighed and hung her head down in shame, then said "I was only trying to help Harry. There aren't that many Light Magic ways to expel Dark Creatures. The Patronus Charm worked, but that didn't work as well as I thought it would. I was becoming desperate." Harry sighed at his friend, then quickly consoled her. "Hermione I appreciate the thought, but I'm not using Dark Magic to expel Shade out of my body. Just out of curiosity though, what was this definite way of expelling him from my body?" Harry asked her. Hermione looked out of the window, like he did earlier, and asked him "It really is a curse to use it, and it's the most foulest type of magic there is, even in the terms of Dark Magic. Are you sure you really want to know?"

Harry pondered this fact, and the question in his head. The most foulest type of Dark Magic there is, and it'll definitely turn him into a Dark Wizard if he used it. As much as he wanted to get rid of Shade, the risks and consequences of using it outweighed the good possibilities. He once again sighed at the situation he was in, then told Hermione with absolute certainty "What is the way you're talking about Hermione?" Hermione blinked at Harry's answer, and kept her eyes closed. She opened her mouth, and mouthed the one word that Harry would've never expected her to say. "Horcruxes." she said with dread in her eyes. Harry's eyes went wide with shock, as Daphne asked Harry "What is it Harry? And what's wrong with your eyes?"
