12. Chapter 11

I WILL ALSO BE TRUE THAT WHEN I STARTED WRITING THIS STORY I HAVE ONLY PLANNED TO DO A YOUNG JUSTICE/AVENGERS, EARTH'S MIGHTEST HEROES CROSSOVER BUT LIKE WITH EVERY STORY THOSE IDEAS CAN CHANGE. AFTER WATCH guardians of the galaxy I WANTED TO INCLUDE the guardians of the galaxy. IN THIS STORY.

ALSO I WRITE WHAT COMES TO MY MIND WHEN I AM WRITING THIS EACH CHAPTER SO THE LITTLE HINT FOR THE NEXT CHAPTER WILL NOT ALWAYS BE WHAT I SAID WOULD HAPPEN.

Chapter 11

Barry Allen thought for sure that he was going to die a very early death. He had just found out that Petra Quill, an Earth born half-alien that gave SHIELD a hard time once in a while would be staying with him and his wife because she was in her 1st month being pregnant. It wasn't the fact that he would be having a pregnant lady living with him, Barry Allen was scared to death of the blue-skinned man or alien standing a few feet in front of him. Barry had the same feeling he got when he was around Batman but unlike Batman, this guy wasn't afraid to shove an arrow into you and kill you. Which is what Barry was feeling since the Blue guy had an weird looking arrow on his belt.

Mehira let out a long sigh. She should have known that Yondu would leave his Yakka arrow with Hawkeye but he didn't say which one he was going to leave with the archer. The young speedster had to wonder just how many of those damn arrows Yondu had.

"So your the one that Petra is going to be staying with during her time of being with child?" Yondu asked with a smile that would scare Batman.

Barry nodded his head up and down at a normal human pace. Even with Mehira in the small clearing the blond speedster was terrified. Like he thought earlier, this was someone who had killed for pleasure and to protect and from what he was told this was also the man that had raised the woman that he and his wife were going to be taking care for the next 8 months as his own child.

Yondu walked up to the speedster to get a good look at the Terran that was going to be watching his daughter. Despite that the blond Terran in front of him slightly scared of him, Yondu could tell just by looking in the eyes of the man that Mehira had picked someone that would do what she had said he would do. Yondu could see someone who would give his life to protect another.

Yondu also saw the look of a father in the blond Terran's eyes. The same look that he saw when he decided to go back on his deal and keep/raise Petra as his daughter and as a Ravager. It was the look that he saw when Mehira had told him about. This would be the perfect Terran to take care of Petra and given what the alien archer had heard about the Terran's wife being someone that even Fury is scared of made his laugh to himself.

"Yondu, will you stop that! Just say that you approve of him taking care of Petra." Mehira exclaimed loudly before she turned her head to the west. "And as for you Batman, get your rodent butt out from the shadows."

Within seconds a dark figure appeared from the shadows. Yondu could see that the figure was male and dressed in dark clothing and looked like one of those flying creatures from one of the books that Petra had with her in her backpack when she was taken.

"What the hell is this?!" Yondu yelled as he readied his Yakka arrow for an attack. He was told that it would only be him, Mehira and the Terran at this meeting.

"Let me guess. Batman being the paranoid flying rat that he is figure out that something was going on and followed you here with out you knowing cause I know for a fact that you would never betray my trust Barry." Mehira said in a bored voice that told Yondu that there was no threat going on.

Batman looked at the teenager that was glaring at him. It was true that he did notice something was going on and decided to follow Barry but he was unaware that it was a meeting about someone called Petra Quill who he guessed was in some sort of trouble and needed help and since she was born on Earth had the right to get help here. Batman however didn't know what to make of the blue-skinned alien standing in front of Barry with an arrow in his belt.

"Long story short Yondu. This is Batman. He is a member of The Justice League and is one the guys that is trying mend the broken bonds so to speak between SHIELD and The Justice League. He is also very paranoid about having to know every thing that is going on. I do believe that he is only here for the safety of Barry." Mehira told Yondu hoping that it would calm him down before he turned Batman into a pin cushion.

"You should have told me what was going on." Batman told Mehira in a stern voice.

Mehira let out a laugh. "Really? Because the last time I looked Barry was my mentor and you were just my trainer. Also, what is going on tonight has nothing to do with the Justice League at all. Plus let's not forget the fact that Barry is the only one that SHIELD knows outside of his costume because he told them that he would help me. And for the record SHIELD is going to be keeping an eye on Petra while she is living with Barry. You would have been brought into this meeting if SHIELD could completely trust you which you and I know that is never going to happen. Plus you don't have the right to be messing with your teammates lives when they are out of costumes nor should be spying on them. There is a little matter of something that I believe is called trust which is something I don't think you know or will ever know the meaning of." Mehira replied with a smirk on her face.

Batman let out a silent growl to himself. Mehira had been spending WAY to much time with Tony Stark but she was right. He didn't have the right to be spying on his teammates when nothing was wrong and Mehira didn't have to tell him what was going on as it was just a meeting for something involving someone that was born on Earth. SHIELD did trust Flash and given what he could figure out what was going on with Petra Quill it had to big. This kid was getting on his nerves but she knew how to push them and be truthful at the same time.

"I should also let you know that our guest is a skilled archer and is not afraid to use that arrow on anyone." Mehira said in a tone that was just showing just how much of a brat she could be.

Batman turned his head to see an strange arrow pointing just a few centimeters away from his face. What was weird was that the arrow was floating in the air by itself.

Batman heard another groan coming from behind him due to the equipment that he had in his cowl. This groan was one of annoyance and anger but not a threat. The arrow 'told' him to turn his head in the direction of the groaning. Batman did just that. What he saw did shock him a little. There was a Raccoon in a jumpsuit walking like a human with a Big Gun on his back and a Ent-like creature that was at least 7 feet tall if not taller. In-between the two was a young woman dressed in what looked like someone who was a outlaw would wear with her face in her hands. Batman had met the woman a few times and had at one point tried to kill him which she almost did if it had not been for Flash coming to his rescue and telling the woman that he was a good guy.

"Honestly!" The woman yelled/screamed at Yondu as she marched right up to the Blue alien and punched in the face.

Yondu let out a laugh. Petra hadn't lost that punch of hers after all this time. She still had the soul of a Ravager.

"Why are you always trying to shoot someone with that Yakka arrow!" Petra yelled into her father-figure's face who was grinning the entire time.

"You know why Girl." Yondu replied as he called his Yakka arrow back and put it back in his pocket. "Besides, the guy dressed up as one of those flying rodents was not supposed to here. He was spying on us which he had no right to do and nothing he will say can justify the fact that he was spying."

Petra let out another groan at the antics of her father in all but blood. Yondu cared about in his own way and was never afraid to show it. Petra started to open her mouth to say something which was followed by the feeling of needing to throw up which caused her to head over to the nearest tree where she then began to once again lose what ever she had eaten in the last few hours. Groot was by her side in a flash rubbing her back. The talking tree had a way of calming anyone who was sick down by making the air around who ever was sick smell good and calming.

Batman looked at the sight of the woman throwing up and was thinking what was going and if what she had was contagious.

"She's pregnant Bats." Mehira said in a deadpan voice knowing what The Dark Knight was thinking at the sight of Petra puking. "She's on Earth because space travel is to rough on her body and on the baby and just for the record coming to Earth was a last resort as it was the closest planet with life that was friendly. Petra's team would have gone back to Xandar is they could have but obviously they couldn't."

Batman glared at the teenager speedster. It was obvious that she was picking up some of his habits from spending time with him and Robin or she was just being a smart ass which could come from her friendship with Roy and the fact that two of her godfathers were Tony Stark AKA Iron Man and Clint Barton AKA Hawkeye who were both known to be smart asses when the time came for it or in Stark's case he was a smart ass all the time. Stark just knew when to cool it. Either way, Mehira was able to know what he was thinking to the letter and always had the right answer as to what he was thinking about.

"Mehira contacted me about having Petra stay with me and Iris because SHIELD knows about me and also Petra's teammate know that I will protect her. It also might help Iris and I be able to have a baby." Barry told his friend and teammate who was glaring at him.

"Bats, listen. Petra really didn't want to come back to Earth but the bay wouldn't be able to survive the trip back to Xandar. The only reason she found out that she was pregnant was the fact that she had eaten something a few days ago and puked up on Drax who was a father and he knew what was going on due the fact that what Petra ate was something that she always ate and had never had the reaction before." Mehira told The Dark Knight who she knew wouldn't tell anyone about what was going on.

"SHIELD did some scans on her and found out that if she was in space for another 48 hours she would have lost the baby and with the miscarriage she could have also died. Also, don't forget that fact that her being able to conceive this child was hard enough in itself given that fact that she got beat up a lot when she was growing up because of what she used to do and still does because of what she does now. Batman, I know that you don't really like outsiders but think of it this way, Petra was born here and is human through her mother and Rocket looks like a raccoon and Groot is technically a tree which is alive and can shrink down to the size of a potted plant and can eat anything on Earth that a plant can eat. So really, there are no outsiders or aliens coming to live on Earth for a few months." Mehira told Batman while getting glared at by Rocket for the 'raccoon' comment.

Batman once again glared at the young meta-human. She was once again right about Petra, Groot and Rocket. Batman knew that when Mehira got older that she would be a great force to fight with and what was scary was that if she ever went to dark side that she would be hard to take down do to her thinking and her ways of solving problems without fighting.

Batman knew that in one of few times in his life that he could not out think someone. Mehira was right and this was a child's life on the line and the raccoon and tree would be that least likely to be seen do to what they could do to keep out of sight. It didn't take a rocket scientist to know that Petra's team was very protective of her and that they would all die for her. But Batman also knew that Petra was just as protective of her team as they were of her.

"My question is this. How can we be sure that this rodent man will not tell anyone cause I really don't care if he's one that is trying help build a bridge?" Yondu asked as stilled glared at Batman. Yondu knew just by the voice that this dark themed Terran wouldn't tell anyone but he had to intimidate the guy as Petra was still his daughter and he would be damned if anyone hurt her and her child. The Centurion really didn't care for some of the Terrans that he had met but he did have some respect for Hawkeye as he was an archer with a good heart and Yondu did like Hank and Janet Pym and their daughter but that was about it but he was starting to like the blond haired, green eyed Terran that would be taking his daughter in to keep her safe.

"I swear to you on my mother and father's graves that I will not reveal anything relating to Petra or the other two while she is here on Earth. I will also keep her and her unborn child safe." Batman told the Blue-skinned archer as he really did see a father in Yondu when it came to Petra. Yondu was just like him when he took Dick in after loosing his parents at such a young age which what had happened to Petra with her mother dying in front of her just before she was kidnapped and raised as a Space Pirate.

Yondu smiled at Batman as he knew that if someone swore on their the graves of their parents that they were being serious.

"I believe you but let me tell you one thing right now." Yondu said as he walked over to where Batman was standing and looked into his lens covered eyes. "If ANYTHING happens to Petra while she is here and it is somehow linked to you. I promise you that you will not see the next day and that all of your body parts will never be found." Yondu growled out as he turned around and walked out of the clearing.

"Well, at least he didn't shoot anyone this time." Petra pointed out as she walked over to the group with Groot by her side.

Batman turned to Petra. He could see that she would be having a hard time with her pregnancy but he would help her out as best that he could due to the fact that Barry and Iris were making it with both of their incomes but Mehira would be visiting a lot more and add a pregnant half-human as well as a talking tree and a talking alien raccoon, the budget would be tight. Batman looked over at Barry and sent him a silent message with his eyes to let him know that they would be talking later about keeping food in the house for everyone.

Batman turned to look over at Petra who was leaning against the talking tree. He knew that SHIELD would be keeping an eye on her and so would he in the future to make sure that she was doing okay. Batman had a lot respect for Petra as she really was one of few that could beat him in a fight and also she could think on her feet in a crunch.

"Petra Quill, I will be checking in on you to see how you are doing. The check ups will be because you are pregnant and not because you are an alien. I meant what I said to Yondu about keeping you safe and I always keep my promises when lives are on the line. I do see that he does care for you in his own way. I also see myself in him when it comes to my own." Batman told the human hybrid who nodded her head. Batman then turned and left the clearing.

"Now that we have this little matter taken care of. I think that we should be getting back to your house and inform Iris about what is going on if Black Widow hasn't done that already." Mehira said as she walked over to Petra who still looked very pale. Mehira was no doctor in any thing but she knew by just looking at Petra that the entire time she was pregnant that she was going to have a hard time which was not uncommon but given the fact that Petra was half-human and half-alien of unknown origins and that the father of the baby was also alien was going to be hell.

Barry nodded as he watched Groot shrink down to the size of a twig and Rocket climb into the backpack that was on Mehira's shoulders. Barry let out a grown inside of his mind knowing that the next 8 months were going to be fun.

Several weeks later, Barry was enjoying sometime with his wife as Petra had been asked to come to meet with The Pyms for a check up. It had seemed that Petra had hit a snag in her pregnancy and since Janet Pym had given birth Petra felt calmer being with someone that had already had a child but Barry knew that Petra wasn't being mean or anything it was just that she knew The Pyms better.

"So Barry, how do you think Petra's doing?" Iris asked her husband as she laid across his chest on the couch.

"I got a call from Hank. He told me that what Petra is experiencing is a hormone thing but since there are three different races that make up Petra's baby's DNA he wants to be sure that our guest is all right." Barry told his wife.

"Let's not forget the fact that Gamor has no idea what pregnant females of his race go through since his people were destroyed when he was very young and he was forced to become a killer for Thantos." Mehira pointed out as she brought something to eat before she would be leaving to go train with the team.

"I bring back more info when I can. I have to get to the Cave so that I can pretend to not be able to fight. That is so annoying when I can wipe the floor with everyone with out using my speed but I have to pretend that I can't fight." Mehira groaned as she left the house.

The speedster made her way over to where the Zeta-tube located that would be taking her to the Cave. She really did hate having to fake the fact that she couldn't fight when she had been train since as long as she could remember how to fight and defend herself by her family.

What really made the speedster mad was that Artemis who she knew was the Sportsmaster's daughter and trained to be a assassin from the time she could walk could not fight at all. Artemis was good with a bow but that was about it. There was no way that Artemis could ever defend herself against some of the people that The Avengers went up against all the time. Heck, Black Widow could take down Sportsmaster faster than he could blink and be fair about it.

Black Canary knew that Mehira really didn't hate Artemis as a person. But what the speedster hated was the fact that Artemis thought that with her training from her father that she was unbeatable when it came to training in the ring. But Mehira had proven that wasn't the case as the Sonic Screamer watched Mehira toy with Artemis throughout their entire match. Every time Artemis threw a punch Mehira blocked it with one of her own which only made the teenage archer more mad which Black Canary knew was not a good thing for the madder you get when fighting someone the more sloppier your moves become and you don't think of your moves before you make them which could cost you your life.

Before long Artemis found herself on her back telling her that she had lost the match which shocked her. She hardly ever lost a match thanks to her training by her father but she had lost to Mehira who did not once use her powers to fight her. Mehira had fought her as a human and not a meta.

"Nice match. Artemis, you need to stop letting someone get under your skin and make you mad as that can lead to mistakes and cost you your life." Canary told the archer as she watched Mehira help her up.

"Mehira, you need to stop antagonizing your opponent and fight a fair fight."

"That's the problem. The Justice League and The Team may fight fair but that does not mean that our opponents will. You have to be able to think on your feet when you know that you won't be going into a fair fight." Mehira replied as she grabbed a bottle of water from the cooler in the room.

Black Canary let out a sigh. Mehira had a point. Not everyone that The League or Team fought would fight fair and given the fact that Mehira was trained by The Avengers she still fought fair when she was with the team but that didn't stop the teenager from bringing a little bit of how she was trained to fight into the team training.

Black Canary paired off the rest the team. The training went well. Once everyone was worn out from their training they all headed to the kitchen to get something to eat. Artemis couldn't get over the fact that Mehira had beaten her with out using her powers and that she knew just how to push her buttons. What also made the female archer a little upset was that Mehira knew who her parents were but had yet to reveal it to the team. Artemis was scared that the speedster would blackmail her into doing something that she wouldn't want to do.

"Not gonna happen." Mehira whispered behind Artemis causing the archer to jump a little.

"What do you mean?" The blond asked.

"I am not going to make you do anything that you don't want to do just because I know whose daughter you are. Plus I am giving you a chance which so far you are not your father but I meant what I said, if you do anything that will hurt my friends I will make you pay. Also, it's not my place to make you tell the team who you really are, that is going to be your choice but if you wait to long then it's going to be harder to tell the team." Mehira told Artemis as she left the area to head to her room at the Cave.

As Mehira was walking to her room she couldn't help but think of what a hypocrite she was. She was telling Artemis that she needed to tell the team who she really was but she couldn't tell the team that she was the daughter of two Avengers. There really was no reason for her not to tell the ones that didn't know about her. Deep down, Mehira thought that she was trying to help Artemis feel that she was safe with Young Justice and that she had found a family that would care about her.

Mehira also knew the truth about M'gann not being what everyone thought that she was. It was only by pure chance that the speedster had found out. Mehira heading to M'gann's room to tell her something when she saw through a crack in the door that her Martian teammate had change from a humanoid green Martian to a white animal-like Martian. Mehira knew from what she was told by J'onn that there were three different colors of Martians and that the ones treated the worst were The Whites which many saw as scum and got little respect. The speedster knew that her fellow red head did have a lot of self-esteem problems but now Mehira knew the reason why but she wasn't going to bring any of that out until M'gann felt safe with her teammates and friends.

Mehira made it to her room and was barely able to change into her sleeping clothes before she hit the bed. The speedster was tired for a lot a of reasons. She was working with Young Justice while training with Flash and staying with her parents which Mehira knew that she needed to spend more time with and she was also keeping an eye on Petra who was being guarded by a alien raccoon and a talking tree at Flash's house all the while going to school and doing her training with her Avenger family. Even though she was a speedster and had a lot of energy, there was still only so much that she could take. Mehira knew that in the morning she would have to take a break from a few of the things that she was doing outside of school and keeping an eye on Petra as those were the two most important things that needed to be taken care of.

Little did our young speedster know but fate would make her choice what was really important in her life.

Nick Fury was not by any means known to be a man that could hold his temper or to have patience when it came to a lot of things. One the reasons he was having a hard time holding his temper in was sitting in front of him in one of the chairs with his feet propped up on the table with a shit-eating grin on his face staring at him and for once it wasn't Tony Stark.

"Why are you here, Loki?" Fury asked the dark haired god who he had his men aim their guns on just in case something should happen. The damn Asgardian just appeared out of nowhere on his ship in a flash of light and scared quite a few SHIELD members.

Loki rolled his eyes at the one-eyed human in front of him and at his antics but to be fair The God of Mischief couldn't blame Fury for acting the way he was after what had happened many years ago.

"I have just received some news that may be of some interest to you." Loki replied.

"And what would that be?" Fury asked keeping his eye on the trickster who had his hands out in plain sight on the table.

"During my recovery from my brainwashing in which Ant-man's daughter freed me from, I did discover that there is an Infinity Stone or Gem here on Earth. The Tesseract and the stone in my scepter that I used upon my forced visit many years ago have been found out to be two of the known 6 Infinity Stones. A known third one is on Xandar under protective guard at all times. These stones are very powerful alone as you saw with The Tesseract but put more than one in the same place and you have so much power that you will be unstoppable which I for one think that no one should ever have. I am truly unsure which of the three other stones is the one on Earth but many have believed it to be The Soul Gem as it was lost long ago around this area according to what I was able to find out. I was unable to get any more information but I did feel that out of respect for Mehira who did save me from a life of mind slavery and would in my option make for a excellent Warrior of Asgard with the swing of her, I feel that I should let you know about The Infinity Gems and what they do should ever come across one of the missing three. Each Gem as I have said has a different power and can be used for good or evil depending on the one who finds it. I do wish you luck on finding The Gem." Loki finished as he snapped his fingers and once again disappeared in a flash of light.

Fury let out a groan at what had just happened. It was true that when Loki did attack New York City he was under mind control but it wasn't until Mehira was 13 that everyone knew. Fury still didn't know all of the details of what happened other than Loki had tracked Mehira to The Flash's house and started to rant about being a god when he was trying to hurt Flash's wife when Mehira grabbed a cast iron frying pan and hit Loki in the head so hard that the Asgardian went flying into the wall so hard that he had left his body print on the wall when he slid down and the cast iron frying pan which are hard to dent had an imprint of Loki's face and head.

Loki was taken by SHIELD agents to a holding cell and was guarded by Hawkeye who wanted nothing more than to shove several arrows down Trickster's throat and up other parts but thanks to his sharp eyesight the archer noticed something as Loki was waking up. Loki was acting the same way he was when Natasha had freed his mind from being controlled by hitting him in the head. Loki was going through withdrawal from not being in control of your own mind.

Fury then discovered that Loki's eyes were green and not blue which was the color that everyone had seen when they first had met Loki when he had appeared out the portal and had attacked New
York. Thor upon finding out the situation had called in the one person that truly respected Loki all of his life, The queen of the Asgard and Thor and Loki's mother, Queen Freya who really was the only one that Loki still trusted and loved.

The Asgardian Queen wasted no time in getting to Earth and to the SHIELD ship. Fury along with many others were surprised at how strong the well dressed and well refined woman was when she had pulled the doors open to the cell that Loki was in with her bare hands but than again this was The Queen of the Asgard and a mother which the lather was one of the most dangerous creatures in the world to ever exist.

As soon as Freya entered the cell, Loki latched onto the woman he saw as his mother and refused to let go. Hawkeye was right about Loki being under mind control based on the way Freya was talking to him. It was similar to the way Natasha was talking to him after he had woken up from her hitting him. For the first time on a long time, Hawkeye felt a bit of compassion for Loki as he was under mind control for years while the archer only was being controlled for three days.

It took some time but Freya was able to get Loki to talk about what had happened to him. It did turn out that Loki was in full control of himself when Thor had been banished to Earth which was the result of a lot of pent up anger do to being teased for his love of knowledge and the fact that the man that he called father had lied to him all of his life about who and what he was. Loki was a prince but just not one of Asgard. But the attack on New York was not Loki in control. Loki had fought for over an year when he fell into the abyss to keep his mind from being invaded but even Gods have their limits.

Loki had spent years being nothing but a puppet and no one noticed he was still fighting all the time. It had taken a 13 year old girl with superspeed and a mean swing for everyone to figure out the truth. Once SHIELD saw that Loki was not a threat, he was released to Freya's care after the gentle queen threatened to some very grusome things to Fury if he did not release her son. Fury later found out from Thor that Freya had torn her husband a new one so bad after finding out what really happened all those years ago that the throne room had to be rebuilt which was bad when said Throne room had survived many a battles but then again Freya was a mother and no one gets between a mother and her children.

When Loki was taken to Asgard for treatment, Odin requested that the Migardian that freed his son come with Freya so that he could thank her properly. Hawkeye went with Mehira as her parents couldn't make it do to something really stupid that they couldn't get out of. Upon the arrival there were several remarks about Loki and most of them came from Lady Sif and The Warriors Three which caused Mehira to blow up.

The speedster had walked up to the four proud warriors, got in their faces and asked them to name ONE time where the four of them hadn't compared Loki to Thor or had made fun of him for his lifestyle. That comment had gotten under the skin of the four friends of Thor when no matter how hard they thought none of them could remember a time when they had not compared Loki to Thor or had teased him about his way of life. Mehira had told the four that there are other ways then just brute force to fight a battle. That was the day that Sif and The Warriors Three had changed their way of thinking when they had seen Loki and what he had become. He was a shadow of who he once was and was afraid of many things and was just clinging to Freya like a child would when they had a nightmare but the one thing that got to Sif and The Warriors Three was that they were partly to blame for that way Loki was. No longer were they looking at the strong adopted son of Odin but someone who had really seen hell and had been brought back.

Odin had called for Mehira to meet him in the Throne room which had resulted in mild vocal fight between Mehira and the Ladies in Waiting who had come to the room she was staying in to dress her to meet the King.

The yelling was caused do to Mehira having to wear a dress that looked like it was out of the dark ages. The speedster really didn't care for dresses that much and knew that The Ladies were only doing their jobs but she wasn't going down without a fight.

In the end, Mehira was in the light blue and dark red dress that had butterfly sleeves. Her hair was styled and she was wearing some jewelery that Freya had lent her. The speedster really did like how she looked as she was going to ask Odin if she could keep that dress. Hawkeye's jaw had dropped to the ground at the sight of his tomboy Goddaughter in the dress looking every bit of a goddess.

Mehira entered the Throne room to find Odin sitting on a chair that looked like a Throne but was also being repaired. The one eyed Asgardian turned his head to look at the young Midgardian that had saved his adopted son and he could see such a fighter in her eyes.

"I want to thank you for saving my son. You did something that I could have never done no matter how much I could have tried." Odin said with sadness in his voice.

Mehira knew that the sadness that Odin was showing was truly once of regret for the lose of Loki and what he had done to him.

Mehira did find out after talking with Odin for a little bit that he really did at first take Loki as a way to keep the peace between The Asgard and The Jotun as even the Mighty King of the Asgard could never hurt or kill a child even if that child was the offspring of his worst enemy. Odin also spoke the truth about over time he did come see Loki as his son and did love him but by the time he tried to tell Loki that his adopted son's anger was to pent up from all the teasing and being compared to Thor to listen.

Mehira had told Odin that what was broken would take time to heal and wouldn't heal over night but that Odin did need to show Loki that he did really care for him as a son and not as a part of a peace treaty. Loki may be a Frost Giant but he was still a living breathing creature that did deserve to be treated with respect.

Fury later found out from Hawkeye that Odin allowed Mehira to come to Asgard anytime she wanted and as much as wanted as long as she lived as a thank you for what she had done. Mehira did take advantage of that by going to Asgard when ever she had free time and helping Loki recover from his ordeal as a mind slave. Sif and The Warriors Three also helped Loki recover by helping him get back into reading which was what the Trickster God loved to do all the time as a child. Odin had mended the rift between his adopted son and him but trust was still a long way to go.

It had taken a little over an year but Loki had recovered and was somewhat back to his old self of being a Trickster but The Jotun Prince needed to get away from the only place that he knew as home and do a little soul searching to fully overcome his ordeal which is what he did. He traveled to other worlds outside of Asgard's protection and learned many a new things in life.

Loki also much to Fury's dislike had a habit of popping in from time to time just to bug him for the fun of it but every time Loki appeared it was to give some info that could keep Earth safe. Also much to Hank Pym's displeasure and annoyances, Loki had developed a bond with Mehira as the Jotun saw that speedster as a little sister and was very protective of her. Hank knew that Loki would never hurt his daughter but he was a protective dad given what he did outside of teaching. Loki knew that The Avengers would never fully trust him with the Avenger Daughter as that was Mehira was nicknamed and called by many on Asgard but when ever he did come to visit the speedster, Loki made sure that he was not alone with her to ease the trust factor.

Loki also apologized to Iris Allen which resulted in her husband wanting to vibrate his hand through his head. The Trickster God was shocked when he found out that Iris Allen's husband didn't believe in killing but he was going to make an expedition when it came to protecting his wife.

"Hill, find me anything that could be of use in SHIELD trying to find where this Soul Gem could be or could have been and call all Avengers and have them come to the base as well as Mehira and The Justice League members that are working with us.." Fury said as he turned to his trusted 2nd in command.

The woman nodded her head and started giving orders through her headpiece.

Fury couldn't shake the feeling that something was going to happen, something that would be even worse than when The Avengers had first formed. Petra being Pregnant and on Earth, Mehira trying to break the rift between The Justice League and The Avengers, finding out that Loki was under mind control for years, being freed, traveling and coming to Earth to tell Shield that there may be one of six known powerful Gems on Earth was not just random events.

Fury had a feeling that Petra may be a target due to the fact that she was able to hold The Power Gem and survive for over a minute and a half before her team was able to help her was a sign that there may be more to the young Half-human than everyone knew and who her alien father may be.

What ever was going to happen, The world needed everyone to be at least working together to help keep Earth safe.

Next Chapter: Fury calls a meeting to discuss the search for The Soul Gem and Mehira begins to reveal who she really is. How will the team members that do not know who Mehira is take to the fact that the daughter of Ant-man and Wasp had been fighting along side them and something happens to Superman that makes him regret what he said about The Avengers.
