"Booyakasha!" Laila, excited to be topside, despite of the fact she snuck out for the hundredth time, back flipped and landed on another roof. She loved going topside, not because she wanted to be away from her brothers, but it brought her memories of her old family..well, they were still family..but broken. They had been ever since the Shredder died, but that didn't mean they didn't get along. In fact, they were actually closer than ever since their father's death. Stopping on a building, Laila just sat there and observed the city. The ankle brace that Karai had got for her worked great. She had taken out an army of foot ninja and she didn't feel any pain in the slightest. The whole time, she felt like someone was following her, but everytime she scanned the area, no one was there. Coming across the purple dragons, she quickly took them out and continued on, not really heading anywhere. Laila stopped when she heard a scream. Looking down at the alleyway, she noticed someone about to stab Karai. Laila growled and jumped down, punching the guy in the stomach, causing him to drop his knife as it cut Laila's arm.

"Laila. What are you-?"

"Returning the favor...although this can't repay for all those years." Laila got into a defensive stance, facing the guy in front of her who charged at her, fist raised. She smirked and ran at him, ducking under his fist and getting another good hit to the gut, making him cough up blood. The guy eventually ran off once he managed to get up.

"Laila, thanks...but why?"

"You're my older sister..family watch each other's backs." Karai blinked in surprise as Laila extended a hand to help her up. "Besides, you've done so much for me."

"Like what?"

"You don't remember? How excited I was when you agreed to supervise me my first time topside...or when the foot clan building got attacked for the first time back in Japan..or even now, giving me my ankle brace so I didn't have to stay in bed for months..I could go on."

"Well..of course I'd do all that for a great little sister." Laila smiled as Karai accepted her hand and she pulled the human up. Hearing cop sirens, they both retreated to the roofs where they came face-to-face with a six-foot pissed off blue-banded mutant turtle.

"Karai, leave us alone, I have to deal with Leo." Karai nodded and left, leaving the two mutants alone.

"Laila, what the heck were you thinking?"

"Back off Leonardo..you guys aren't the boss of me..I'm 17, a kinouchi. I can handle myself."

"What part of we don't want you to get killed don't you get?"

"So you're pretty much saying I can't handle myself? You know what...just fuck off..if I get killed I get killed..my fault for not listening to you guys." Laila walked right past him and was about to jump off when Leo grabbed her wrist.

"Let go Leo."

"I love you.." Laila's eyes widened as her body froze...'Nani?'
