"Okay, that's creepy." Mikey backed away slightly and laila rolled her eyes.
"Relax mikey, I'm not gonna kill you guys. Now if you don't mind.." Laila got off the bed and walked past them, "I'd like to sleep in an actual bed." Laila walked out of the lab and went into her room, closing the door behind her.
"Wow, she actually didn't leave the lair for once."
"She's too tired to go topside. You could tell just looking at her."
"So what are we gonna do donnie?"
"We'll have to give her more medication." They tensed up at that, raph especially. Laila was already taking medication for her thyroid problems, and she had medical issues dealing with her stomach so she had to have medication for that too. Only raph knew that laila always felt like an outcast, or that something was wrong with her, because of the medication she always had to take, especially since she was the only one who had to take any.
"As much as I don't want to give it to her, it's necessary."
"Just great, more pills...yay." They turned and noticed laila leaning against the doorway.
"I thought you went to take a nap."
"I tried to, couldn't sleep."
"Was it because raph wasn't there?"
"Shut up! I can sleep just fine without him!"
"But you don't want to.."
"Possibly, now shut up!" Mikey chuckled and immediately shut up when Laila glared at him.
"Come on laila, you know it's true."
"Mikey!" Laila's eyes narrowed and turned red and Mikey put both his hands over her mouth to try and get himself to shut up.
"Good. Donnie, just give me the whole damn bottle."
"No, cause then you'll take all the pills at once." That seemed to make everyone quiet.
"Donnie, what makes you say that?"
"I've done it before. It's an addiction im just recovering from. Remember when I was gone for a few months?"
"Yeah, on a training session."
"It was actually rehab. Splinter signed me up shortly after he walked in on me trying to overdose."
"Laila, why would you-?"
"Go through what I've been through and then you'll be doing this as well."
"None of us would stoop that low."
"Whatever. I'm heading out. I can't even stand to be near you guys."
