Hiyori opened her eyes softly and snuggled towards something soft. It smelled of Yato but when her rose eyes opened it was nothing but a pillow. Hiyori knocked off the blankets off her and looked around the room. The room showed no evidence of another being there. Hiyori stretched her arms and looked out her window seeing the sun barely making it over the horizon. Hiyori got up and started to do her routine for school.

Hiyori exited the shower and sat on her bed. She breathed in and out trying to focus on her surroundings. Hiyori was feeling stressed, her body was still getting used to being in her near shore ways. Hiyori felt heavy and her back seemed the ache more from her new habit. Hiyori promised she wouldn't break her habit of going onto the far shore but maybe this few seconds. Hiyori then felt light and she began to smile, her body light as a feather she jumped from her bed and landed gracefully onto the floor.

Hiyori stretched her arms and legs. Hiyori began to open the window but then she just it close. " Hiyori you mustn't go outside.." Hyori scolded herself. Being in this form was already breaking her vow. Hiyori jumped back into her body and awoke.

"A big day ahead of us. A test in math and a 5 page essay due in humanities." Hiyori rose from her bed and walked towards her closet, grabbing her uniform.

"Maybe I might get some silver lining for today." Hiyori skipped downstairs.

TIME SKIP

Hiyori walked down the road to her school, humming to herself. Hiyori felt the presence of Yato and Yukine but kept her promise of space and kept walking. She heard their sly footsteps and the rustling of the bushes but she decided to stay quiet.

Hiyori started to up some stairs for class and she swore she heard the muttering of a certain god complaining about her skirt being too short. A few students up ahead were a group of chatting boys not realizing Hiyori's presence.

One of them threw an empty soda can onto the next step. Hiyori accidentally making her first step ended up slipping. Yato was about to make a move was stopped by a fellow classmate of Hiyori's. Hiyori fell into the arms of a young man. Hiyori baffled, stood up and bowed too low.

"T-thank you for catching me." The classmate smiled and his pink eyes held liveliness.

"No problem, maybe those guys should watch where they are throwing their cans huh?" He gave one last smile of playfulness and left. Hiyori ran after him "I didn't get your name?"

"Oh my name.. The name is… Fujisaki Kouto. And may I ask for yours?"

Hiyori smiled. "Of course Fujisaki-san. It's Iki Hiyori."

Fujisaki leaned in close to her face and smirked. Both of their rose eyes mirrored.

"No need for such importance. No honorifics is fine for me, Hiyori." Hiyori blushed red for a stranger she just met called her by her first name.

"O-okay Fujisaki-s.." Hiyori stopped herself from using a honorific and ran past him embarrassed.

Fujisaki gave off a smirk and picked up the can from the ground. He caught a glimpse of a god ossing with great anger. But as his act for being a mortal he pretended he saw nothing. He started making his way towards his classroom.

TIME SKIP

Hiyori made her way home. Humming to herself and a smile was held high. Hiyori phone buzzed, she checked the contact name. It was Yato. Of course Hiyori couldn't go to the far shore, but she never promised the actions of Yato in the near shore would be controlled. Hiyori answered the call.

"Oh Yato hello" She answered cheerfully. "Hiyori..are you cheating on me?" Hiyori raised an eyebrow out of confusion.

"No Yato I wouldn't. Why do you ask?" Yato's voice became more stern than usually. "Who was that boy that caught you when you fell? Fujisaki or something?! I will teach him a lesson." Hiyori heard in the background of knuckles being snapped.

"No Yato I just met him today he seemed..nice." "Is he so nice that you will break up with me and go out with nice Fujisaki and have a nice wedding and have a nice house and nice kids?! Huh Huh?!"

Hiyori rolled her eyes as she turned the corner onto her house. "Yato, I wouldn't leave you over someone I just meet."

"Then what if you end up being friends with him for a long time and think that maybe a foolish mortal is better than me which I may remind you, I'm a god. G-O-D, god.Your boyfriend is a god. When we get married you will have a god husband and when we have kids they will be demigods. Perhaps maybe I might have more power when I am a more well known god and make you into a goddess, so we get to will forever in love." Hiyori could only laugh to this.

"Yato I think maybe we can hold off about talking about a future marriage between the two of us. I'm home now and I need to hang up." Yato sniffed into the phone. "Well Hiyori I hope I gave you a good talk. I love you so much." Hiyori smiled.

"Goodbye Yato."

"You're not going to say I love you back?!" Yato wailed into the phone.

Hiyori hung up and began to walk into her house.

Hiyori ran up to her bedroom and landed onto her bad tired. Hiyori stretched her aching muscles and began to drift to sleep. Hiyori jumped out her body and smiled. "Finally." Hiyori did her usual stretches,

"Near shore body is making me ache!" she screamed in frustration. Hiyori landed on her bed and looked back at her near shore self. It was so weird to see herself. "Well time to go back." Hiyori began to go over herself.

Hiyori usually felt her eyes fluttering open and usually was back in her regular body. But this time she felt a thump. "What the?" Hiyori got back and noticed she was still in her half phantom mode. No matter how hard she tried she couldn't get back in. "Not this again."

This took back Hiyori to back when she first met Yato and the rest of the gods. "Why can't I…? " Hiyori noticed a note written on her desk by an unknown writer. "If you want to get back in your body, met me at my most famous temple." Hiyori reread and noticed a scribbled signature. One of the lucky seven the famous goddess, Bishamonten.
