After the phone smashed into pieces, and the loud static came on, Laila jumped off towards HQ where her father wanted her to meet up with him. After a short run, she heard screams that sounded oddly like foot ninjas. Speeding up her run, she jumped into the foot HQ through the new hole in the ceiling to notice yellow mutant aliens attacking them. Laila ducked underneath one that was coming for her.
"Dad! What even happened?"
"Stockman's experiment got way out of control." Shredder blocked and dodged another one, and he bumped into Laila from behind. It was them two versus however many of these guys they were. Two of the monster launched for them to try and separate them, but it was futile. After they took down a few, the rest left the HQ.
"We have to go after them!"
"Come on." Shredder ran after them, Laila following close behind. They were barely able to catch up to the monsters, but they managed to take down a few more.
"When this is done, Stockman is so in for it." Laila hid a smirk, barely being able to dodge one as it managed to claw at the stitches in her stomach, ripping a few out of her skin. She ducked underneath one and kicked it from behind.
"Dad? When you kick Stockman's ass, call me. I wanna help."
"You think I wouldn't let you?" Neither of them noticed the monster that appeared to be the leader tossed a tear gas bomb at them. "Laila!" She immediately turned and closed her eyes, blocking them with her arm so she wouldn't get blinded. Another took that chance to try and stab Laila, but was taken down by Shredder. After it was deemed safe for Laila to remove her arm, she did and noticed all the red on the roof.
"Well, they're done for now. Now to get this blood off of me."
"Dad, I don't think it's blood. It smells like pizza sauce...what was Stockman ever experimenting?"
"I have no idea.. we should-" Suddenly the ground began shaking, and Laila grabbed her chakrams. She rarely used them ever since what happened before, but she knew this would be one of those times.
"That was entertaining, watching you two fight those guys. It was also pathetic..oh well, I'll kill Laila and give her to a good friend of mine and turn you in Shredder.. I'll be rich."
"Not on my life."
