Daryl stood there his brothers right in front of him. Merle's smile was leering and Mac's was downright disgusting. He was use to this though, fuck and wasn't that sad but he was. What he hadn't expected was for Rick to be there. Instead of looking at the dumb son of a bitch he eyed his brothers and it only made their smiles get bigger. They were loving every second of this and he just sighed knowing this wasn't going to be go away any time soon.

"Something you need?" Daryl snapped.

He didn't feel like doing this right now. Fuck he should have known someone would fucking run to Merle and say he was fighting with the cockfucker. If Rick would have shut his fucking mouth this wouldn't be an issue. Then he wouldn't have to think about how long they'd been down here and just what they could have heard.

Merle shrugged, "Just thought I'd make sure you two talk this shit out before it comes to blows."

"Think we're too late for that, brother." Mac leered.

Daryl's face heated up and he clenched his jaw. Rick stiffened next to him. He knew then what Mac was doing.

"Am I right or am I right?" Mac pushed.

Rick shifted on his feet and attempted to catch Daryl's attention. Daryl still refused to acknowledge him and tightened his fist before he hit him. Just knowing that the bastard was in his house had his heart hammering and adrenaline flooding his system. There was a dull roaring starting in his ears and he felt a headache starting. He didn't need this shit right now. Not today, not ever.

The door banged open and Sophia burst in with Brian right behind her. She rushed up the stairs but Brian stopped. Like she could sense he wasn't following Sophia turned around huffing and Brian gave her a pointed look before looking back over to Daryl. Sophia leaned around the wall and looked into the room. Her eyes widened and then she launched herself off the steps so fast Brian had to steady her before she was rushing towards him. She swiped at her eyes and he felt his chest ache. He hated seeing her upset and it bothered him even more because he knew it was his fault.

"Dad!" Her voice hitched hard at the word. "I thought you left!" She huffed as she slammed into him.

Daryl went to speak but Carol stepping into the room had everyone looking over. Daryl wanted to die. He wanted to just go upstairs- get in bed and die. She was wrecked, the best fucking version of it. She was in the tattered scraps of her tank top with his flannel shirt over it. He felt his heart rate skyrocket for a second when he realized just how much of her legs were showing and blew out a heavy breath. His long tailed shirt made it seem like that was all she was wearing but she had on a pair of sleep shorts. She was eyes went to him and they swept over him without a care before going to his brothers. There was no hope for her right now to him now that his asshole brothers were here. Carol yawned and leaned against the door frame and eyed them all.

"Goddamn." Merle muttered.

Daryl felt heat flood his face and just flopped down harshly into the loveseat. He knew Rick was looking at him then to Carol. His eyes were drilling holes into Daryl and it only took him a second to realize it was because he'd inadvertently exposed his neck. At the time he didn't give much thought to all the marks he knew littered his body from her but now he felt each one. He could feel them like her teeth and nails were still on him and wasn't that just great because it made his groin fucking ache to sink back into her. He didn't see the one on his throat but knew that it was bad, she'd bit the fuck out of him and broke the skin.

Mac dropped next to him and Sophia trotted over and threw herself across both of them. She had her head resting on the arm of the smirked down at her pushing her hair out of her face and she smiled up at him. He was use to her ending up against him, at first he'd tried to keep her from doing it but gave up. She done his brother's the same way but she always ended up like this. She didn't like being apart from him because her nightmares got worse and so did her anxiety. If being close to him and his brother's calmed her then he'd let her do what she wanted. She was sprawled over both brother's and glaring right at Rick. Daryl wanted to laugh but he was just as pissed. It also seemed Brian was mad as a wet cat and ready to fight the man as well. This was a very unfriendly house at the moment to the bastard.

Carol yawned again and walked into the room. Of course his brothers noticed the slight hitch in her steps. He wanted to feel bad for how rough they'd gotten but then she was the one begging him to fuck her harder. Shifting in his seat Daryl grimaced. He needed to get his fucking head together before he embarrassed himself.

"Rick, what are you doing here?" Carol questioned.

Brian moved and set by her. He crossed his arms over his chest and his head dropped to her shoulder. Carol ran her fingers through his hair absentmindedly and Brian melted right there. Brian was like Daryl on a lot of things and this was one of them. He didn't like being touched by people. He didn't like people. Carol and Sophia it seemed got a free pass though.

Mac grunted and Daryl looked over seeing Sophia kick him in the chest as she kicked her boots off. He trapped her legs.

"Hold the hell still or I'll tie your ass up."

"Daryl wouldn't let you, i'm the favorite." Sophia laughed. She was blatantly ignoring Rick's presence.

Mac leaned forward his hands closing around her ankles, "I think you've lost your throne little girl." Mac's eyes gave a pointed look to where Carol was with Brian.

A brilliant smile bloomed across Sophia's face and she nodded her head. "I'm fine with that so long as it's my mom." Merle barked out a laugh and Daryl shook his head feeling his face heat up.

Sophia started speaking to Mac again and Mac followed every word like it was law nodding his head. Apparently it was decided that Carol was moving into his room. Sophia's eyes had locked on to Rick as she spoke talking about how it was only normal for her mom and dad to share a room. Carol just gave her an indulgent smile and Daryl chewed his lip, well that took care of that. Fucking kid was as pushy as his brother's. He could tell she'd been crying and he felt horrible. She thought he left. How long had it took Brian to get her calm enough to try and find him. Dear god he was happy she hadn't showed up earlier. That..that would have been too fucking much.

Rick cleared his throat and tried to catch Daryl's eyes again. "I wanted to apologize. I was out of line."

Merle hummed in his throat and glared at Rick. The look on his face threatened Rick and Daryl didn't need to know what had happened to know that Rick was walking on more than just thin ice. The fucking ice had broke and was sinking.

Rick huffed harshly and pinched the bridge of his nose, "Me and Carol have been together since the start of this thing and I'm just protective." Rick pinned him with a look. Daryl held his stare cocking an eyebrow. He could read between the lines and sneered at the man. "I'm sure you can understand that."

Carol shot Rick a sharp look and Merle held his hand up. "Regardless of how long she was IN a group with you don't mean shit about fuck here."

Mac stood and scooped Sophia up in his arms. Her head fell on his shoulder and Brian rose fluidly up, he was never far from her and Daryl smirked. Then scowled at the thought and eyed him. He needed to watch them carefully. Mac gave Daryl a look and then eyed Carol before grinning at her and sweeping his eyes over.

"Carol you look wore out, maybe you should lay down too." Mac hefted Sophia up more and she mumbled in her sleep.

He didn't wait before he disappeared up the steps. Merle chuckled and Daryl snorted despite himself. Carol moved then and took Mac's seat right by him.

"Rick what is this about?" Her voice was sharp.

Rick shot a look at Merle then to Daryl. Merle sneered and then looked over at Daryl, "Come find me later." He stalked towards the door but not before glaring at Rick, "Remember what I said Dick."

Rick scowled but nodded. The door shut behind him and then he was gone. They were alone with just Rick. Daryl wanted to kick him into the wall and watch his head hit the wall. He didn't like this man. He thought he owned Carol, she wasn't a part of the group. She was someone to lord over. Rick liked control. Fuck him.

"Is this about me and Daryl?" Carol questioned, "Being together because that is none of your business."

"Your family. "

Carol nodded, "And that still doesn't give you the right to tell me who I can be around and damn sure don't give you the right to dictate to my daughter." She hissed.

Rick tensed and Daryl leaned back against the couch. Carol was pressing into him. He wasn't even sure she realized it. Rick sure as fuck did.

"Whatever you thought was going to happen- well you can forget that. It was never there. You are like a brother nothing more."

Rick's face was incredulous, "And he is? You don't even know him!"

Daryl tensed and Carol's hand slid on to his thigh. It was to high to appropriate. Her fingers flexed and he jerked when it caused his boxers to pull across his groin. She knew what the hell she was doing. Fucking christ she was going to kill him.

"I do." Carol snarled, "You don't and that's on you. You haven't gave anyone here a fucking chance. This man took a girl on who was nothing to him and gave her a family. He's a man who has searched for me because he made a promise. He's done more for me and my daughter since meeting him than anyone else in our lives." Her voice shook with anger, "He's a man of honor."

Rick paled and Daryl smirked. He wasn't one to be smug and really he wanted to cuss Rick all to fuck but watching Carol taking him apart was even better. Seeing her getting so pissed off was hot as fuck; man of honor, the thought made him laugh because his thoughts were far from honorable. Carol didn't seem the type to have claws that came out on a whim and for her to be such a spitfire. That was exactly what she was though. She could be damn near mean, she was headstrong.

Rick nodded after a few minutes when Carol finally stopped ripping his ass. He gave Daryl a look and the glare was still there but it was no longer poisonous. He figured it'd be there for a while. Rick clearly had feelings for her and he didn't like seeing her with another man.

Carol stood and gripped his hand pulling Daryl to his feet, "Now if you don't mind we're tired and going to go to bed. See yourself out."
