Chapter 10: A Doctor's Wish, A Reaper's Glasses, And A Maiden's Trust… All Shattered Pt. 2

10 min. earlier, Amelia's P.O.V

"It's so cold. I should've grabbed a coat before running out of the house, or some shoes..."

Amy found herself squatting behind some boxes in the back of an alley waiting for Sebastian and Ciel to keep moving deeper into the dirty London streets or finally turn around and go back to where they came from. You see right after Sebastian entered the carriage back at the house, Amy quickly sneaked out of the bushes she had been hiding under, climbed the back of the carriage, and grabbed into the poles on its back door. The carriage had then began to move, and brought them to the White Chapel Area. However, a few streets in, the carriage stopped and Ciel and Sebastian came out, payed the driver double what it should have been, and made their way into the nearest alley. Amy had sighed in relief when they went through the front door and not the back one. She had then jumped off the carriage before it started moving again, and silently followed after her brother and butler. She followed them around for about half an hour before they stopped in front of a small and suspicious looking residence by the end of an alley.

"What on earth are you two planning? I... I just don't understand what's going on..." Amy thought to herself as she continued to her older sibling and Sebastian. She had been observing them for about half an hour already and throughout all that time they hadn't moved an inch. They just stood there, leaning against a wall in silence and looking anxious as if they were waiting for someone or something to come their way.

"I wonder what you wait for brother..."

5 min. Earlier, Ciel's P.O.V.

"I hate this dreadful waiting, If... if we are right in our suspicions and there's no change soon a woman will die tonight..." Ciel thought to himself as he scanned his surroundings more carefully than before. He could have swore he saw something moving behind some old wooden boxes towards the very back of the alley. He was about to ask Sebastian to go inspect them when all of the sudden the sound of nearby yelling caught his attention.

"Quick! We must find the girl!" He found himself yelling to Sebastian as he rushed towards the direction of the screams. Ciel just ran and ran, not looking back, desperately trying to find this girl. The yelling eventually led him to the rundown front entrance of a small and dirty looking residence a few streets away from the alley they had been waiting in. Without hesitation he quickly went to open the door, and what he saw next he would never forget. It was the color red. It was on the windows, the floor, the walls, it was everywhere, and in the middle of it lay the corpse of a blond woman, her insides spilled open for the whole world to see. Ciel's eye widen and his body started to shake but just before he could watch a second more of that hell Sebastian quickly stepped in front of him and pushed him away from the scene.

"Oh... I... she's dead" Ciel thought as he tried to get his shaking under control. He really needed to come down, he couldn't show this kind of weakness in front of the wretched demon. Plus he still had to find and get rid of the low life degenerate who had done this for the queen. "I do not shake with fear at the sight of dead bodies, I am the Queen's Guard Dog." Ciel Thought to himself as he progressively got his body to stop quaking. "I am the Earl of Phantomhive and I will get whoever is responsible for this, for her majesty."

However what finally broke Ciel out of his trance completely was the smug sound of Sebastian's voice as the demon butler said, "You've made quite a bloody mess of things in there Jack the Ripper or rather... Grell Sutcliff."

Grell then tried to play innocent and pretended he had just found the body but as soon as he had walked through that door Ciel had known. He'd known that his suspicions had been correct and for once in his life he had really hoped he was wrong. He desperately needed to be wrong this once because even if he knew from the very beginning he was right, he had wanted, no, needed to believe it wasn't them. That it wasn't her. But at last, Sebastian called Grell to drop his act and exposed him for what he really was, a sort of divine creature, a grim reaper. However as Grell began to chuckle sinisterly with his disguise beginning to fall, revealing bright Scarlet hair and razor sharp teeth, Ciel could not see divinity in such a repulsive creature. What happened next though, really disappointed Ciel as he sighed sadly. And how could he not? For from the shadows his beloved aunt, Madame Red, stepped out wearing the same sinister grin as the wretched bloodied creature standing before him.

"Well, I hadn't counted on this. I didn't think anyone would be able to tell who Grell truly is". She said with a truly surprised tone of voice, causing Ciel to roll his eyes at her.

"Well Madam, naturally you were on the suspect list from the very beginning, even if all your alibis seemed flawless. With your skills, the sudden new help, and the amount of time we spent together, It was only a matter of time before I figured it out."

"You mean you actually suspected your own aunt of murder?" She then mockingly asked him in fake hurt manner.

Ciel could only scoff at his aunt's remark. She knew perfectly well he was the Queen's Guard Dog, she knew it was his job to fulfill her Majesty's wishes, and that not even blood ties would have stopped him from accomplishing his mission. 'This is just plain insulting..." He thought as he gave her a glare.

"Don't act so surprised. You knew her Majesty gave me a task, that I was looking for a murderer. Degree of relation to me did not matter when considering who the culprit might have been and anyhow none of the humans on the suspect list could have been responsible for all the murders. Not unless one of them had an inhuman accomplice of course, that would change the game completely. It would have to be someone who could enter and leave the room without being noticed; someone who could travel from the viscount's home to the East End instantaneously, and in the end, well... you two were the only ones who could be Jack the Ripper... you Madam Red and Grell Sutcliff. Especially after I looked into what else the victims had in common besides prostitution. They'd all undergone a certain surgery under your name at the hospital where you work. Naturally we made a list of all the patients and one, only one of these woman was still alive, a woman by the name of Mary Kelly. We knew if we waited around here you would come for her eventually. But we were too late..." Ciel then said turning to look at the dismembered body of Mary Kelly, lying lifeless on the cold dirty floor, before turning to glare back up at both his aunt and Grell. "Oh Aunt Angela... what have you done..." Ciel couldn't help but think. Everything then fell silent apart from a laud crackling in the sky, which was soon followed by a quick flash of light, and as the two starred at each other, finally looking at each other for who the two of them really were, rain began to fall harshly upon them. It was then that Madam Red finally broke the silence.

"My darling nephew, how unfortunate this turned out to be... If you had let it go, but no... you've ruined everything!" Madame Red yelled at him with an enraged look on her face as she pulled a knife from behind her back. At the same time Grell began to laugh maniacally, pulled what seemed to be a blade surrounded by chains attached to a box with a loose wire hanging from it, and pointed it towards Sebastian.

Ciel sighed disappointedly. She had left him no choice.

"In my name and that of the Queen, I order you, Sebastian: put an end to this!" He yelled out at the demon butler. "However, I'll deal with her." He then added glancing towards Madame Red.

"Indeed, my young lord" Replied the wretched creature with a smirk. After he ran towards Grell, who had begun pulling on the loose wire of his weapon and made it roar. The two began to yell things at each other. Grell yelled some things about Sebastian being a demon but then began trying to, and for lack of a better word, seduce Sebastian. Sebastian just rolled his eyes and yelled something about butlers and being a disgrace before both of them began jumping from wall to roof, as they kicked and took swings at each other.

Ciel quickly lost interest in their battle however, as he turned to face his aunt once more. She met his gaze right on and gave him a crazed grin as she pointed the knife she'd been holding in his direction.

"if it's hunt or be hunted... There's only one thing I can do!" She then told him as she began to close in on him. Ciel decided to play along, and for every step she took towards him, he took one back until he found himself backed into an alley wall. However all the while he had subtly pulled his arm to his back and reached for his revolver, ready to fire if necessary. "Please Aunt Angela... I really don't want to do this, so just come to your senses... please!" He thought thought to himself before trying to reason with his aunt one last time. "Think about what you're about to do. It doesn't have to go down this way, It didn't before and it doesn't have to now. "

"Of course it does. You don't know... you don't understand!" She yelled harshly, glaring at him. "You wouldn't understand if I told you! You're just a child! A stupid, bratty child! "

"You know what, you're right I don't understand. You're a doctor, you made an oath to save lives not take them. How could you do it?!" Enraged Ciel yelled right back at her. This nonsense had gone long enough. It was time she began to explain herself.

"Exactly because of that oath is that I did what I did. All those foolish tramps throwing away the life of those poor innocent children... they deserve what they got. And you? You will too sister" She told him as her eyes regained the crazed look they had a few moments ago. Ciel frowned confused. "Sister... is that who she thinks I am?" He thought to himself. "What is she going on about? She knows my mother died in the fire..."

Has she gone completely mad?

0 Min. Earlier (Present Time), Amy's P.O.V.

Amy's eyes widen as the realization of what she'd just witnessed and what was about to happen downed upon her. Her dear Aunt Angie, was a murderer. She was responsible for those dreadful headlines in the papers about mysterious deaths and missing body parts. She was responsible for the young woman's corpse laying on the floor right in front of her eyes. And now to add to the list, Madame Red wanted to kill Ciel. "No, this is the same woman who took me in. This is the woman who... who became my mother after I lost everything. She's still my dear Aunt Angie and she's gone through a lot." Amy thought to herself as she slowly began to crawl from behind the boxes she had been hiding, and stepped out into the cold rain.

"She just needs some professional help, and Ciel and me can help with that, so I must hurry before one of them does something they'll regret."

And so Amy sprung foward and jumped in front of her brother and aunt, bumping a bit into the two as she landed. The force of her jump made Madame Red drop the blade she had been holding to the side and Ciel to hit his head roughly against the wall. After the initial shock of what just happened faded, both their eyes widen as they stared at Amy. Ciel went from stunned, to worried, and finally to angry as usual, while Madam Red just looked surprised. The three of them just stood there exchanging glances at each other for a second before Ciel finally broke the silence by angrily questioning Amelia.

"What are you doing here? Why aren't you at the house?" He asked her.

"I'm sorry Ciel... I-I followed you and Seba-" She started but Ciel quickly cut her off after hearing that. "You foolish, foolish girl. How many times have I told you to just mind your own business?! Dammit Amelia, can't you see? Can't you just see that I'm just trying to pro- urgh!" Ciel was so angry he couldn't even finish his sentence and so Madame Red took that moment to speak.

"You weren't supposed to see any of that my dear girl. Now I'll have to deal with you as well." She said and Amy frowned. "Please Aunt Angie, you just need some help. This isn't you, this is just some broken and hurt version of you that's crying out for help. All you have to do is accept that this isn't your true self! Then we can help you, get you all the doctors you need." Amy told her before turning to Ciel. "Isn't that right brother?" She asked him but Ciel just stayed silent, and continued to glare at their aunt. Finally, as a last resort, since neither of them seemed to be changing their minds anytime soon, Amy cried out to her aunt one last time.

"Come on Auntie Anne, just tell him this wasn't you!" The young red haired girl cried and pleaded with the older woman standing in front of her. She, however, just shook her head with a sigh.

"I'm afraid that's not possible, my dear girl..." The woman then said slowly making her way towards her and her brother, as she took yet another knife out of her dress and pointed it towards them.

"I was in my right mind. I am Jack The Ripper, and now it is time for the both of you to die, as you shouldn't have been born in the first place!" She yelled.

Then Madame Red, getting ready to strike, ran towards them. Amy's eyes widen. She couldn't believe it. She refused to believe that her beloved aunt, who was like a mother to her was the serial killer who had murdered all those women. She refused to believe that those kind eyes of hers were now looking at Ciel and her with pure hatred. But once she accepted it, Amy closed her eyes and hugged her brother scared. And as Ciel hugged her back, Amy couldn't hold back her crying any longer.

'I don't want to die...' She thought as the tears fell down her face.

'I want to live just a little bit longer..."

"Masters!"

*Grrr...*

*Clanck*

The knife was now flying up in the air, as something had covered the blow from hitting Ciel and Amelia. Relieved, Amy quickly let go of Ciel and turned to look at what had stopped the blow.

The sight she was met with, was none other than the back view of a certain black tail coat, one that could only belong to the one and only Sebastian Michaelis. He had somehow gotten away from Grell and found himself standing in front of her and Ciel, his body shaking just a bit as he let out two ragged breaths. "I-I... this is so weird..." She thought as she starred up at him. "I've never seen him get tired, much less run out of breath or tremble..." Amy's eyes then widen as she noticed droplets of blood hitting the ground near him. Sebastian was hurt. She quickly looked back up and scanned him to see where the injury was exactly and gasped as she locked her gaze on one of his shoulders. It was a deep wound. Amy could see bone from where she stood, blood seemed to be rushing out like a fountain, and his arm seemed to be barely hanging on by a thread.

"Masters, are you alright?" Sebastian then asked as he turned to look at them for a second and inspected them from head to toe. Ciel said nothing just glared at him, but Amy couldn't stop the the words flowing out of her mouth as she struggled to look away from his injuries.

"Sebastian... your arm..." Amy said, her voice barely a whisper.

"It's nothing young mistr-" He began but stopped suddenly to take his coat off and placing it over Amy. "Here mistress, put this in on, you're shaking and I am afraid you're about to have another attack."

He then turned back to face Madam Red's way. Amy then was about to say something else to him but turned her attention elsewhere as Madam Red began yelling something.

"What is the meaning of this? Just who the hell do you think you are to interfere?"

Amy frowned confused until her eyes focused on what looked like a sword, pointed towards her Aunt's neck and a young woman with purple colored hair and sharp green eyes that was the end of it. She was right in front of Sebastian which is why Amy had failed to see her at first, for his tall frame had covered from sight completely, and she seemed to be rolling her eyes as the enraged Madame Red continued to yell at her. "I guess she was the one who stopped the knife, so Grell was responsible for Sebastian's arm then..." Amy thought as she watched the woman turn to face Sebastian, Ciel, and herself as if to inspected if they were okay. She gave each one a glance from from head to toe and then turned towards where Grell stood and nodded towards a man who Amy hadn't noticed was there until then. Said man was standing next to Grell, aiming what looked like two firearms at Grell's head. The man then nodded back at the purple haired woman and only then did she turned around smirking at Madame Red and answered her question from before.

"My name is Piper Sturling, and with all due respect, If anyone is going to be killing these children it will be me, not you." She told Madame Red. "Now step away or I'll kill you." Both Amy and Ciel's eyes widen.

"Stop! Don't kill her." Amy yelled at her. "Please..." She then pleaded as her eyes filled with tears and she tried to run towards Madam Red but Sebastian's hand held her rooted to the ground she stood. The woman, Piper, then quickly glanced at Amy's pleading eyes and sighed. She lowered her sword slightly and with a roll of her eyes said, "Fine, I won't." She then turned back to Madame Red and told her to step away. However all of the sudden a loud thud was heard in Grell and the man's direction. Everyone turned to look what happened only to find the strange man unconscious on the ground and no Grell to be found.

"Ryan? What the hell?! Where did that little piece of shit go..." Piper then yelled as she looked at the man on the floor and then around the alley, for any trace of Grell Amy assumed. "Where did he go?" Amy thought as she looked around too. The answer to her question came soon enough though as a laughing Grell jumped from the roof and kicked Piper so hard she flew towards one of walls of the alley and lost consciousness. He then turned towards Sebastian and tried to kick him too as he blew a kiss his way saying, "Oooh, how sweet you are, Bassy! Really, what a prince. Did you see how strong and fast I was? Did you like it? I can show you more in bed later if you'd like." Sebastian just rolled his eyes and quickly jumped out his way.

"You're right Bassy... Before I can show you anything, we need to settle business. So Madam," Grell then said as he picked up the knife Madam Red had dropped later and handed back to her. "Hurry up and kill the brats already!" Madam Red then proceeded to take the knife and began walking towards Amy and Ciel once more, her mouth twisting into a cruel smirk and her eyes filling with that crazed look from earlier. She then pulled the knife above her head and got ready to strike. Sebastian got ready to stop her if necessary but stopped as Ciel yelled at him not to kill or do anything to her. Amy however, just stared at her silently. The two then shared a glance and Amy gave her a small peaceful smile. Amy wasn't sure if what she was planning was going to work, but she could only hope. She couldn't only hope that their bond was stronger than all the crazy that was happening around them.

"Whatever the reason, if you stop now, we'll forgive you Aunt Angie. We love you, so please..." Amy told her running towards her and embracing her. "Please stop this madness."

Madam Red's arms then began shaking, as she looked from Ciel back to Amy as she hugged her, and she sighed in defeat, dropping the knife to the ground , her eyes watering while she matched Amy's smile and hugged her back. Madam Red then broke the hug, send Amy back to Ciel and turned to face Grell before saying, "I can't do it... I loved my sister... I loved her husband... I loved their children... I can't. I can't kill them. I can't kill their beloved children." Grell simply rolled his eyes at her.

"Really? You're getting soft-hearted on me all of a sudden? After all those deaths? If you don't end them, they'll end you!" Grell then told her trying to convince her one last time. Madam Red however, much to Amy's relief just shook her head no. "She's back, this is the real Madam Red, my dear Aunt Angie." Amy thought as she watched Madam Red began to turn away from Grel. She had come back to her senses. It seemed everything would be okay after all.

"I will not, Grell. These precious children... These dear boy and girl are... they are my— ugh..." Madam Red then started to say, as she began walking towards her and Ciel, however never got to finish as a loud roar was heard and she dropped to her knees coughing up blood. In her back, Grell's monstrous blade was impaled, and the wretched creature simply sighed bored as he said, " You get to die now, then. It's too late for all that repenting... How disappointing! What use do I have for you if you're just another woman!?"

Amy's eyes widen. She felt a deep pain in her chest and found herself falling to her knees as well as she began shaking uncontrollably. Her head began to spin and her eyes began to well up with tears. That wasn't supposed to happen. Madam Red wasn't supposed to die. It simply couldn't be happening.

"AUNT ANGIE, NO!" She cried as she began crawling towards her body and grabbed her hand. "Please no..." However Amy immediately let go of it as Madam Red's body began to shake and a glowing light began to emit from her wounds. "What's happening to her? What are you doing to her?!" Amy then turned to yell at Grell with a glare. "Whatever it is you're doing to, stop it!"

"He can't stop it." Said a strange voice from behind her suddenly. Amy turned back to look at the speaker and found herself face to face with the man with the firearms from earlier, and next to him the girl with purple hair, Piper. It seemed they had finally woken up. "What do you mean he can't stop it? What did he do?" She asked.

The man simply pointed at the light and told her to look closer. "You see those images moving? That's your aunt's cinematic record, her memories, her whole life. A part of the reaper's job is to replay and examine the memories of those who are on the To-Die list. From that, we determine what kind of person they were, we see from their own perspective what kind of life they lived, and we decide whether they should live or die..." He then said and Amy sighed in relief. "So if you determine my Aunt is a good person you can let her live then? You can save her?" She asked hopeful as she took her Aunt's hand back in her own. This time Piper spoke. "I'm afraid that's impossible. The only time we allow people to come back from the dead is they if have something they most achieve or their existence will eventually change the course of humanity. Your aunt was a murderer, her passing won't affect anyone, so I'm afraid it is impossible to bring her back." She said making Amy glare up at her.

"No you're wrong, she was much more than that... She was a strong woman too. A good sister, a wife, a doctor, a caregiver, and maybe not my real mother, but my mum nonetheless... so you're wrong. She wasn't just a murderer she was good too." Amy then told her as she turned to look at her Aunt's memories.

"Rachel, Angelina, come say hello to our guest, Lord Phantomhive."

I had hated the red hair I inherited from my father.

"Your hair is very beautiful, An. The color of spider lilies. Red suits you very well."

"Thank you, Vincent."

But I came to love it after all. I came to love the color red.I came to love him...

"An, Rachel and I have wonderful news!"

"Vincent and I are getting married sister!"

My sister...

Once again, I hated the color red.

But... I could never bring myself to hate them.

Eventually, I, too, met a man and got married.

"What do you think - a boy or a girl?"

"Men are so impatient. How would I know that yet?"

It didn't happen at all in the way I wanted it to, but still, I thought I'd found happiness...

"That carriage hit someone! Call a doctor, quickly!"

Then it all slipped away...

"Your husband died instantly. And in order to save your life, we were forced to remove your uterus and your unborn child with it. I'm sorry, but we had no choice..."

Everything... Everything slipped away from me...

I lost the man I had learned to love... and the child I loved so dearly before it was even born.

The stain spread... It covered everything... That color I so hated... the color red...

My sister was buried with the man she loved. If only... If only my heart had been buried in the ground along with them.

"Honestly, a child would only be in the way. I don't know who the father is, and my customers wouldn't like a child hanging around."

I had lost everything in my life.

That woman had what I wanted most... what I would never get the chance to have again...

And she threw it away without a second thought.

I wanted to stain her too...

"Hello, you're that d- Wh-What are you doing?! No, no, wait!"

I decided to stain everything red, with my own hands.

"My, my! That was quite a little show!"

That's when I met my blood-red grim reaper.

A few months later, my sweet niece came to live with me and in time my missing nephew reappeared too.

"Oh, Ciel!"

With him, he brought a butler dressed in black...

"You're really safe...?"

I got at least one thing back.

"Thank goodness, at least we still have you two...Let me take a look at your darling faces".

The children of the man I loved... and my sister.

If this children could come back, then why couldn't my beloved?

Why wasn't I the one he chose to marry?

I finally decided that I would right all the wrongs I had been dealt.

"You two have taken everything!"

After that last image, Madame Red stopped shaking and the glow surrounding her faded away, signaling that she had finally passed. Amy couldn't stop crying. Now she was really gone, and she had died in such a gruesome matter... there had been no comfort just life in her life, just suffering. "I'm so sorry aunt Angela..." Amy couldn't help but think as she squeezed her cold limp hand harder. "I'm so sorry..." Suddenly she was filled with a wave of rage as Grell quickly knelt down next to her and picked up her Aunt's body with him as he pulled away her scarlet trench coat.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" She yelled at him but he just rolled his eyes at her before laughing.

"You know I do love your beautiful red locks brat, but you sure cry a lot. And as for Madam... well I thought she looked so beautiful dyed crimson covered in her victims' blood. How I loved her so... but what a disappointment she turned out to be in the end. She didn't have what it took to wear red, so I'm taking this." He then said putting on Madam's coat. "Her cheap little melodrama ends now. It's over, Madam Red. Goodbye."

Amy never believed it was impossible to really hate someone until that night. The feelings of loathing and pure rage that cursed to her body at that exact moment where so strong she was beginning to shake, and all she could think about was how much she wanted to see that wretched thing's head on a spike. And so she slowly got up and with a glare of pure hatred she turned to Sebastian, and barked the first order she had ever directly given anyone working in the Phantomhive household.

"Kill him." She told him. "I want you to kill this bastard."

Everyone's eyes widen for a moment. Ciel had never seen Amy react that way and Sebastian just seemed amused, but still no one moved to do anything which irritated Amy. She was about to repeat herself when Ciel turned to Sebastian as well and said, "Well, you heard her, what are you waiting for? Stop standing there and kill him! I thought I ordered you to put an end to Jack the Ripper earlier. One is left."

"Certainly, Young Master."

Sebastian then jumped towards Grell and aimed a kick to his head. Grell barely managed to avoid the hit, his glasses flying of his face and shattering against one of the alley walls in the process. After picking up the remains and placing them back on his face, Grell turned back to Sebastian and with a frown said, "You would kick a lady in the face?! Where are your manners, sir?!".

"Terribly sorry. You see, I am simply one hell of a butler." Sebastian then replied in a fake apologizing tone while rolling his eyes at Grell.

Grell simply scoffed. "Ha! You think a demon like you can beat a reaper?" He mocked.

"Certainly. You see, if my master tells me to win, then I shall win." Sebastian told him reading himself for another kick.

"You care a lot about those puny little brats, don't you? I'm jealous. Demon or not my dear Bassy, you'll still be destroyed if I reap you with my death scythe. Aren't you frightened?" Grell then asked him as he pulled his blade out. Sebastian just smirked.

"Not at all. I belong to my master. My soul and my body, down to the last hair are his. The contract remains, so I follow his every order." He said. "That's what it means to be a butler." The two then began fighting, kicking at each other and jumping from roofs to walls once more. Amy watched for a bit, before she turned to Madam Red's body on the floor once more and ran towards it. She then took off Sebastian's coat off, and placed it over Madam Red, covering her face and wounds. She stayed there for a second before she felt a hand on her shoulder and quickly turned around to see who it was.

"Brother." Amy said as she stared up at Ciel.

"'Let's get you out of here, you're going to get sick in this rain." He simply told her, avoiding to make any contact with Madam Red's body. Amy frowned and pushed his hand away. She was so angry at him. She had seen everything that happened, heard everything he and Sebastian and Madame Red and Grell had talked about. She had finally pierced together every thing that hadn't made sense before. She had been right in assuming Sebastian wasn't human, he was a demon, but what she had not been right about was about Ciel not knowing or if he did know having the decency to tell her. No instead Ciel had known the whole time and had apparently made a deal with him too as far as she could tell from the way Sebastian spoke. Not only that, but to make things worst he had suspected that Madam Red was behind all of the murders and instead of confronting her quietly and trying to get her some help he had ambushed her and here they stood, in front of her corpse. Amy was pissed, heartbroken, disappointed, and everything else she could be at that moment. She just couldn't believe him. She couldn't trust him anymore.

"Stay away from me. This..." She said pointing at Madam Red's body. "This is all your fault! Instead of trying to help her you ambushed her... And all the lies you've been telling me... You brought a demon to our house! And you said nothing! You even have some kind of deal with him... what did you bargain with him? Her life, ours?"

Ciel said nothing. He didn't even flinch as Amy kept on yelling at him everything he had done had lead up to that moment.

"Answer me! What was the deal?" Amy asked once more.

"My soul. I bargained my soul."

Amy's eyes widen. She didn't have to be an expert to know what that type of deal would entail. He was going to die, Sebastian would probably kill him, and then he would take his soul. He was going to leave her again. And what for? What was so important he sold his life to such a foul creature? God, Amy wanted to kill him herself.

"What sort of thing was you life worth?" Amy then asked him, taking a few steps away from him. "What did you sold your soul to the devil for?"

"That's none of your concern."

Amy was filled with rage once again. "None of my concern? What the hell is your problem? You're all I have left. Mom, Dad, Madame Red... they're all gone. And now all I have left is you... a lying, manipulative, bratty, rude, angry, spoiled, and selfish brother, but my brother nonetheless, and the only person left in the world who I care about, so yes, it is my concern." She told him.

However before Ciel could say anything more, Sebastian's voice interrupted them.

"Master," The demon called as he held Grell in a deadlock with one arm, and held his roaring blade with the other. "He is revolting but still a divine being. Are you prepared to accept whatever consequences come of killing him?"

Ciel simply sighed annoyed. "Sebastian, do you need me to repeat my order?"

"No, sir." He replied before turning to Grell and adding, "Well, we finally found something you're good at: screaming. Very well done. And as a reward, I shall kill you with this cherished little toy of yours".

Grell began to scream and plead with Sebastian. When that didn't work he turned to Piper and the man with the firearms and pleaded for their help.

"Ryan, help me! Come on little brother... you can't leave me to die! We're family!" He told the man with the guns before turning to Piper. "And you... dear Piper you can't possibly leave a fellow woman in need to fend for herself. Plus think of the fuzz my dearest William will make when he has to fill all the paperwork that will come with my sudden death... he will not be happy about it."

Ryan and Piper then shared a troubled look before turning to look at Grell and back to Amy and Ciel.

"We have to help him, he is right. William would give us hell for leaving him to die... also he is my brother... I-I can't just leave him..." Ryan said to Piper getting his guns ready to fire at Sebastian, which made her sigh reluctantly.

" Fine, we'll help your piece of shit brother. I won't like it, but we'll do it if only to avoid William's wrath." She then said getting her sword ready to fight as well. "God knows how much that man hates extra work." However before they even got to move, a scythe came flying from the sky and hit Grell's out of Sebastian's hand. Everyone looked shocked for a moment until suddenly a deep monotone voice filled the air.

"I'm afraid it's too late for that now..."

"Just who is this person?" She thought to herself as she tried to to find the owner of said voice. She quickly scanned the alley and when she failed to notice anyone that hadn't been there before she turned to look up at one of the surrounding roofs where sure enough she found the mysterious owner of the flying scythe. He was tall, had neat black hair, wore glasses, and shared the same vibrant green eyes as Grell, Piper, and Ryan.

"I apologize for interrupting. Let me introduce myself: I am William T. Spears, an administrator at the Grim Reaper Staffing Association. I've come to retrieve these three reapers." The stranger then said to Sebastian, and turning to point at Grell, Ryan and Piper as he finished speaking. Amy noticed that Piper and Ryan rolled their eyes in annoyance at the voice while Grell sighed in relief.

"William! Oh, William! Did you came to save me- Urgh!" Grell yelled as he began to run towards William, who proceeded to wack him to the ground with his scythe.

"Attention, Reaper Grell Sutcliff, Ryan Sutcliff, and Piper Spurling. You have violated several regulations." William then said. "First, Grell you killed people not on the To-Die list. Second, you used a death scythe that had been modified without authorization. Piper, Ryan... you two offered someone strictly classified information regarding our methods and the future. Further more you were about to help Grell break more rules..." He then turned to Sebastian and added, "I apologize for all of the trouble these wretches have caused. Here, please accept my card. Honestly... I never thought I'd see the day when I had to bow my head to demon scum like you... This is a disgrace to all grim reapers."

"Then perhaps you should keep a better eye on your minions... so they don't trouble us. Humans are so easily tempted... they will do anything when in the grip of utter despair. They will grasp at any thread that promises to save them from unhappiness, no matter the consequences. You should know that." Sebastian retorted back at him.

"That's a charming bit of hypocrisy. You demons capitalize on that quality more often than we do." William then said with a scoff.

Sebastian simply smirked. "That I cannot deny."

"Anyhow, right now you seem to be a tame dog; that makes you far less dangerous than the rabid mongrels running around free. Now, come with me, you three. We're leaving. We're already shorthanded, and here you've gone and landed me with even more overtime. The Board is not going to be pleased." William then turned to Ciel and Amy and added, "if you'll please excuse us".

The four Grim Reapers then jumped into the night sky and disappeared. Sebastian then began making his way back to Ciel and Amy and right when he was in front of them, dropped to one knee and began apologizing for not following through with his orders. Ciel said it was fine, but Amy couldn't bring herself to look at either of them. Instead she took a few steps away from the two, and turned around to walk away. She didn't want to be near either of the two ever again. Sebastian was a demon, a foul monster, and Ciel had disappointed her beyond measure. She couldn't go back home, her Aunt was dead, and everything she held true seemed so false now. Her whole existence seemed to be falling apart around her, and for once she wished she had listened and just stayed home and just never witnessed everything she had that night. But she hadn't listened, she hadn't stayed home, and she had witnessed everything. So now all there was left to do was leave. She didn't know where, but she just had to get out of there.

"Amelia!" Ciel yelled after her. "Amelia, get back here!"

But Amy wouldn't turn. She just kept walking and walking until Ciel's yelling faded in the distance and she found herself in some unknown street of the city. She would have continued walking but it was still raining and she was very cold, her asthma started to kick in, and she began to have trouble breathing, until finally she just dropped in the middle of a sidewalk for she couldn't feel her legs any longer. "I don't care anymore..." She thought to herself, starring at the star filled sky as she laid shaking and struggling to catch her breath on the cold, wet ground. "I've got nothing to go back to..."

Her eyes then became harder and harder to keep open, but just as she began to loose consciousness she felt some pressure under her knees and around her shoulders, and before she knew it she was off the ground. Someone had picked her up and was now walking down the street, carrying her in their arms. Amy tried to lift her head a bit to try and catch a glimpse of the person, but the fatigue in her body won and just as quickly as she had begun to mover her head it fell back down, her eyes closed, and all consciousness gone.

If she had only been able to stay awake for a few more moment she would have been met with a pair of glowing pink eyes starring back down at her.
