You held the icepack to Zuko's shoulder, trying really hard not to blush because you're just now realizing how attractive he really is. You tried not to notice how close to two of you are.
"How did i get here?" zuko asked ending the silence.
"i carried you here" you said somewhat awkwardly. Zuko gave you an odd look so you rambled nervously. "It was kind of hard to carry you, and i had to left your armor in the clearing and my mom help me some of the way" you finished while your face turned the color of your bright red hair.

"Why did you help me?" you asked in confused.
"I couldn't just leave you" kana said, some of her hair fell into her face. "You were hurt" she said sheepishly as she hid her face behind her hair unintentionally. "What happened to you?" she asked curiously.
"I was out numbered and attacked," you said in annoyance, you don't like to admit defeat and you felt especially weak admitting it Kana. Your tone must have startled kana because she moved away a little. For some strange reason that made you sad. You wanted kana close to you. "Sorry" you said quietly knowing that you lost your temper once again.
"Its fine" kana said softly as she moved back to where she was before. "What were you doing in the forest?" she asked curiously.
You couldn't possibly say that you were looking for her. Instead you said that you were looking for a quiet place.
Kana nodded believing your little white lie.
'Good she believed that' you thought with relief. You didn't want to lie to her but you also didn't think that, "I think you're pretty so I wanted to find you" would sound good.

You didn't believe zuko's little lie at all but you played along.
"Then by the cherry blossom tree is a great place, it's where I meditate" You said, then paused for a moment and added " but you already knew that". You said giggling waiting for his reaction.
Out of embarrassment zuko decided to change the subject. "Where's my shirt?" he asked suddenly aware that his shirt is missing.
"I had to take it off you so i could clean the gash on your chest, it was soaked in blood so i got rid of it" you said. "But i got you one of my brother's shirts" you held up the shirt that Daisuke gave you "sorry its earth kingdom, we don't have any Fire Nation clothes for guys" you added as you put the shirt down.
Daisuke and kaito appeared in the doorway.
"Kana we're going into town, want to come with?" Kaito asked. Daisuke gave him a harsh jab in the ribs.
"He means do you need anything in town because you're obviously busy" daisuke asked.
"Can you get Zuko's armor, I left it in the clearing at the cherry blossom tree." you said.
"Can you find my uncle and tell him I'm ok?" zuko asked.
"No problem" kaito replied.
"Where can we find him?" daisuke asked.
"Our ship is docked in the harbor but if he's not there he'll be any place that sells tea," zuko replied rolling his eyes. Zuko began to describe his Uncle when he was cut off.
"We remember what he looks like" Daisuke replied.
"Yeah wise old man, fatherly face, huge belly, we go it" kaito added as they left.
"Who were they?" zuko asked as soon as they left.
"Those were my brothers, the waterbender who can pass for a bear is kaito and the tiny earth bender is daisuke," you replied.
"But you're a firebender" zuko blurted out stupidly.
You giggled. "I'm adopted, my parents found me in the forest and took me in when i was a baby" you said simply.
"Oh" zuko said, you could tell he was still confused but your decided to let him think about it.
"what's your family like?' you asked, it seemed like an appropriate question because Zuko is clearly trying to figure out how a family with an earthbender and a waterbender could also have a firebender.
Zuko turned away "I don't want to talk about them" he said harshly
"Oh I'm sorry " you said sadly, you really were sad you didn't mean to offend him, you're just a curious person.

'No! I scared her again' you thought mad at yourself once again. Kana turned away but still held the icepack on your shoulder.
"Kana" you said quietly. She turned back to you with a sad expression. "I'm sorry," you said sheepishly
Kana smiled softly, but you could still see a small bit of fear in her eyes.
You changed the subject attempting to make he happy again happy again. "Do you ever wonder who your real parents are?" you asked.
"Not really I don't have any desire to meet them but it would be nice if I met them," kana replied thoughtfully.
You nodded and looked around the room. There was a fire nation symbol on the wall, a set of dual swords were mounted near it, there was a few small paintings on the walls and a lot of candles scattered about the room.
"Is this your room?" you asked.
"Its mine" kana said "I decorated it myself" she added proudly.
You realized that you were in her bed. The thought made you blush. You also realized that you have no experience with girls.
Kana took the ice pack off your arm. Kana was now a little further away from you, which made you suddenly very depressed. You wanted kana close to you.
"How does your shoulder feel?" kana asked.
"It hurts" you said childishly. Maybe she'll hold the ice pack to it again.
"Oh course it does silly, you got a bad bruise, but does it feel any better?" kana asked again as she giggled.
"Oh, it feels a little better" you said.
"Good" kana replied with a smile, but suddenly it turned to a frown.
"what's wrong?" you asked with concern.
"The gash on your chest seems to be worse than I thought" kana said sadly.
You looked down to find that your blood soaked through the bandages. You didn't even feel it, then again your ribs hurt really bad.
kana leaned over you a bit as she removed the old bandages, you blushed but thankfully she didn't notice because she was to busy with your wound.
"I'll just clean it up and wrap it again," kana said. Once the bandages were off kana took a wet rag. "This might sting a little," she warned. You nodded.
Kana cleaned all the blood from the gash and it did sting a lot but you would never admit that. Once that was done, she began to wrap it again. "Tell me if it's to tight" she said softly.
"Ok" you replied. "Do you take care of people like this a lot?" you asked wincing a little as she put the bandages over the gash.
"Not really, normally I nurse wounded animals back to health, you're the first human" kana admitted with a laugh. Well that didn't make you feel comfortable. Upon seeing your discomfort Kana added "Oh but don't worry, I promise I'll take good care of you," when you didn't reply she laugh nervously and said, "my parents have even started joking that you're my little patient." You had to admit that she's pretty adorable especially when she rambles.
