You ran through the forest as fast as you could. You stood at the top of a hill. What you saw scared you; most of the village was on fire. The village has been raided before, but never like this.

You shook your head and continued your search. First you checked the lake, then the place that daisuke's practices his bending. There was no sign of either of them. Then you ran to the clearing with your cherry blossom tree.

Daisuke and Kaito were fighting several fire nation soldiers. You joined the fight. You kicked one soldier; he fell to the ground, daisuke bended the earth to surround the soldier so he wouldn't get back up. you shot 6 powerful blasts of fire at the soldiers all of them hit their marks but it only slowed them down. Daisuke made rock surround his fists making stone gauntlets and knuckles, he easily knocked out two of the soldiers. Kaito used a water whip to rapidly attack but then knocked one out with his own fist. you fought one soldier, he was a skilled fighter but he relied far too much on his bending. You easily defeated him...you don't think he's going to wake up...ever... well anyway Daisuke and Kaito defeated their opponents soon after you did.

"Kana what's going on?" Daisuke asked urgently.

"It's a raid, a bad one. They're trying to take all the earth and water benders" you replied sadly.

"Is mom and dad..." kaito trailed off.

"They should be fine" you said seriously. "But ike and yahigo were captured, we need to hide you two" you finished.

Your brothers nodded and started sprinting towards the house. You stood in the clearing for a moment. The fire nation soldiers are dead.

You turned to face the cherry blossom tree. The once pink flowers burned with blue flames, the rest of the tree burned a brilliant reddish orange color. You looked at your favorite place in the world as its being destroyed. You frowned, knowing this was not the time. You then sprinted to your house.

(Zuko)

You limped to the door, and rested there for a few moments, between the pain in your shoulder and the pain in your legs, it's pretty hard. You felt so weak and powerless; all you wanted to do was to protect Kana. You just hope that Kana is ok.

'Damn it! I need to get up, I need to help kana' your anger was starting to get out of control.

That Domon guy is still in the other room, he seems to have calmed down. Suddenly the door slammed open.

"Domon we need your help, theirs to many firebenders for us to take on" Kaito yelled frantically. Kaito and Domon ran out of the house.

'Is kana out there' you thought. You forced yourself off of the wall. It hurt like hell; you've never been in this much pain. You growled but stood up straight. You tripped when you tried to walk.

(Kana)

You caught up to your brothers rather quickly. The three of you ran in silence until you got to your house, unfortunately there was a small army of firebenders there. You fought hard and killed a few of them but they kept coming. Kaito ran inside and got domon to help. All of you fought your best; you became so passionate about your bending, you felt one with the fire.

Domon tried to lead some of the firebenders away, it worked, but still more came. A few firebenders tried to grab you but you swiftly dodged and kicked fire into their faces. You gracefully flipped over two of the soldiers. Daisuke helped you by bending a platform for you to land on. You kicked a soldier in the face and daisuke encased him in rock. You and your brothers continued to fight. All of you are getting tired and the soldiers just keep coming.

Suddenly you felt something tearing the flesh across your stomach; you fell to your knees in pain. You looked up to see one of the soldiers wearing a metal claw glove over his right hand. You looked down at your stomach; blood ran down your body, you held the wound in pain as you fell to the ground.

You looked up once more. And an unconscious Kaito was being carried away by a firebender. Daisuke was still struggling.

"Kana!" daisuke yelled as he broke free for a moment but was recaptured when he tried to get to you.

You tried to speak but your voice failed you. You tried to get up. Daisuke screamed your name as he struggled to get away. You stood on your knees still holding your bleeding stomach. "Daisuke! Kaito!" you screamed "No! Please stop!" you yelled as you began to break down. You fell forward hitting your head on the ground "not please don't take my brothers" you whispered as tear ran down your face.

You struggled to get up but by the time you did it was too late you couldn't save Kaito and Daisuke. You stumbled into the house almost as if you were in a trance, as if none of this was real.

When you got to the living room you collapsed from he physical pain and the sadness that you might never see your brothers again.

"Kana!" a rough voice said in shock.

You looked up to see Prince Zuko. it looked like he was in a lot of pain but all you could do was say 'they took them' over and over again. you sobbed as you held your stomach on pain. "Prince Zuko they took kaito and daisuke I might never see them again" you whispered between sobs

As Prince Zuko neared he winced in pain, but tried not to show it.

'Tough guy' you thought with a mental sigh.

"Kana let me help you" Prince zuko said as he picked you up carefully, he didn't even care about the blood that was now all over him. Even though he was struggling to walk he slowly carried you to your room and gently placed you on your bed.

"Oh god, I got blood all of over you," you sobbed you were practically hysterical.

Zuko gently but firmly put his hands on your shoulder and looked into your eyes, "Kana I need you try to calm down, and I need to take care of you before we can think about anything else"

"But Zuko, they're gone" you wailed as you held your stomach in pain.

Zuko held one of your hands as he grabbed bandages and the bowel of water you've been keeping near the bed for when you change his bandages.

You stopped screaming and tried to relax, but you couldn't stop crying.

Zuko released your hand as he grabbed the bowl of water and used his bending to heat it. He stared at your wounded stomach for a second before you released why he was staring, your shirt was covering most of the wound. You wiped the tears away from your eyes, but more fell. Zuko timidly reached out and lifted your shirt just enough so he could clean and wrap the wound; he was blushing but ignored it, completely focused on helping you. You cried out when Zuko began to clean the wound, it must have startled him because he pulled away.

"I'm sorry, I'm trying not to hurt you," he whispered softly, as he clumsily went back to cleaning.

By the time Zuko had finished wrapping your wound you had stopped crying. You just stared at him, unable to process your thoughts. Your brothers are gone, you wondered if Domon is all right. Your parents haven't returned yet and that made you worry. And then theirs Zuko, he was shy and timid as if he was worried about breaking you. He was gentle and caring. He's definitely not very experienced with wrapping wounds but he did a very good job. But why was he blushing?
