'Ok! This is not working!' Prince Zuko is the most attractive guy you've ever met and he's sleeping next to you. You can't sleep because all you're thinking about is what it would be like to kiss him. 'why did he have to be a prince?' you thought in annoyance. You closed your eyes and rolled over in another failed attempt to sleep. You couldn't help but wonder what would happen if you inched closer to him in your sleep, you wondered if he would put his arms around you.

(Zuko)

There is no way you're getting any sleep tonight. Kana is asleep less than a foot away from you and you could help but think that she looked sexy in your shirt. You wondered what she would do if you kissed her, or if you pretended to be asleep and moved closer to her. You decided against both ideas because you didn't want Kana to be mad at you or freaked out. You also think that kana doesn't like you like that; I mean she treats you like she treats her friend Domon. You glared at the fire lily on the night stand, maybe if you glared at it long enough it would finally wilt.

'Girls are so frustrating' you thought in annoyance. Without realizing what you were thinking you thought about how you could make kana like you. Your own thoughts made you blush. You hide your pinkish face from Kana's sleeping form, you rolled over and attempted to sleep once again.

(Kana)

You eventually did get to sleep but it didn't last long because you woke to a sudden motion. You opened your eyes and sat up to see prince Zuko getting up.

"Prince Zuko?" you questioned.

He apparently didn't realize that you're awake now because he jumped slightly at the sound of your voice, and turned around to face you. "Did I wake you?" he asked.

You nodded sleepily with a yawn

"I'm sorry you can go back to sleep if you want" Prince Zuko said softly.

"No its fine, I'll just get up now" you said. 'Because getting to sleep the first time was hard enough' you thought.

Prince Zuko nodded "well you can take the first shower then" after a moment he added, "if you want"

"I think I will" you replied still half asleep. You walked to the dresser and took out fresh clothes. Then walked into the bathroom.

(Zuko)

As soon as Kana walked into the bathroom, you laid back down on the bed. You didn't get that much sleep last night and you would have gone back to sleep, you didn't have to be out on deck for another 2 or 3 hours, but now the thoughts of kana in the shower kept you awake.

'This is going to be a long day' you thought miserably because you have to deal with crew and lack of sleep.

(Kana)

After your shower you dressed in a short black skirt with gold trim and a matching black halter top that ended at the end of your rib cage. You quickly dried your long red hair and brushed it.

When you walked out of the bathroom you found Prince Zuko laying on the bed, he sat up when he noticed your presence.

"You can go now" you said softly

He stood up and grabbed his clothes, and walked to the bathroom as you put your dirty clothes into a bag to be washed.

"Kana when I'm done would you want to get breakfast together?" prince zuko asked.

You nodded, "that would be nice," you said with a slight yawn.

Prince Zuko nodded and disappeared in the doorway.

You wanted to sing, but you couldn't find your voice. The nagging sadness at the back of your mind wouldn't let you sing. You thought of your brothers. You wanted to cry but refused to let any tears full. You will find them.

You sat on the bed deep in thought, you didn't even notice when Zuko walked out of the bathroom. You didn't even realize that he was there till you felt hands on your shoulders

"Kana! Kana are you ok" Prince Zuko asked frantically, his voice filled with worry.

You finally snapped out of it. "Oh... I'm sorry I was thinking" you said slightly dazed.

Prince Zuko kept his hands on your shoulders for a few more seconds as he looked into your eyes as if searching for an answer to an unasked question. You blushed and looked away.

Prince Zuko sighed. "Well ok" he mumbled more to himself then to you. He then released your from his caring yet gentile grip. He put all of his armor on, which took a few minutes. You honestly wonder how he wears all that armor all day.

When he was done the two of you walked out of the room and into the hall. You were trying to think of something to say but couldn't think of anything.

You passed a few crewmembers; they whistled, laughed or whispered as you walked past them. You felt uneasy and Prince Zuko looked very pissed off. You moved a little closer to Zuko because you're honestly scared of the crew.

Prince Zuko noticed your actions, he gave you a questioning look but his eyes softened.

"I'll tell you later" you said softly.

Prince Zuko nodded.

When you got to the galley you and Prince Zuko sat with Iroh and three higher up crewmembers.

"How did you two sleep" Iroh asked curiously with an excited smile on his face

"Fine " Prince Zuko said quickly.

"Great" you lied. It was a little white lie.

Iroh nodded wisely as if he could tell you were lying. If anyone could nod wisely, it would be Iroh

Suddenly a crewmember across the room yelled out. "Hey girly! wanna sleep with me tonight"

That really annoyed you. It angered prince zuko.

"Who said that" Prince Zuko yelled as he stood up. You watched him as the room went silent. "Who said that?" he repeated sounding even more angered.

A soldier stood up to take the blame.

"You will clean the entire ship " zuko ordered. Then directed his attention to everyone. "No one is to disrespect Kana, anyone who does will be dealt with personally" he finished and sat down again. The room stayed silent for almost a minute before the annoying rawr of pointless conversation gained volume

"Thank you Prince Zuko " you said softly.

He nodded "was that why you moved closer to me in the hallway?" Prince Zuko asked.

You nodded 'as he's so sweet' you thought. 'The world must hate me because my dream guy is a prince.'
