Things have been a little awkward between you and Zuko, you both know you like each other but he hasn't asked you out yet, and you're to shy to ask him. The two of you kissed a few times, mostly during your late night training sessions.

Right now your on deck leaning over the railing while Zuko orders the crew around. One crewmember tried to flip your bright red skirt up but you kicked him in the face, so he settled for sexual harassment.

"Aren't you sick of sleeping with that spoiled prince yet, you should sleep with a real man," he said holding his nose, which is now bleeding.

"The only real man on this ship is Zuko, and you seriously need new material, you used that comment last week." you said completely uninterested. The man walked away defeated.

You looked out into the ocean and saw an ugly metal island.

You rolled your eyes 'fire nation of course, fire is so beautiful but everything the fire nation makes is so ugly' you thought in annoyance. You noticed Zuko near by so you called him over.

He stood next to you "hey Kana what do you need?" Zuko asked. You could tell that he was tired.

"What's that?" you asked gesturing to the ugly metal island.

"It's a prison, they keep earth benders there so they can't bend" Zuko replied timidly, knowing that you hate that type of stuff.

"Oh" you sad sadly wishing you could free the prisoners, Zuko must have sensed you wish to free the prisoners because a worried looks crossed his face for a few seconds.

"We can check there for your brother if you want" Zuko offered.

Your eyes lit up "Please can we?" you asked childishly.

Zuko nodded, "Just please don't sent the prisoners free" he said and walked away. His body language told you that he would be back soon.

"You take the fun out of everything" you called after him as you giggled. He just waved you off.

You looked out into the ocean again. After a few minutes you felt the ship turn, heading to the prison. Zuko came back shortly after, he leaned on the railing like you are.

"Thank you," you said gratefully.

You felt zuko's hand under your chin, he turned your face so you were looking at him. "You don't have to thank me, I promised that we'd find your brothers" Zuko said.

You smiled as he let go of your face.

The ship got to the prison at sunset...its no longer a prison actually. Someone threw the warden into the ocean and he couldn't swim...well anyway the earth benders are preparing to leave. You looked for Daisuke in the crowd but all you found was a water tribe engagement necklace. It was the water tribe girl's, the girl who travels with the avatar. You picked it up knowing that Zuko would like something like that for his advantage. You decided not to tell Zuko about the necklace. You'll just give it back to the girl in secret.

Anyway you looked through the crowd again and finally saw Daisuke with a big smile on his face. He opened his arms as you ran to your brother.

"Daisuke! You're alive!" you yelled happily.

He nodded as you pulled out of the hug. You could hear the clanking of Zuko's armor so you guessed that he was behind you.

"Why are you here?" daisuke asked curiously but obviously happy to see you.

"I was looking for you and Kaito" you replied.

"I'm just glad you safe, I...I could barely take seeing you get knocked out that day. But Kaito kept me going. We escaped from he Fire Nation ship with a group of earth and water benders, Yahigo and Ike. We ran into some trouble when we hit land, me and ike were separated from kaito and yahigo. Ike went home, I stayed to find Kaito. When I left Kyoshi island, I was captured and brought here" daisuke explained.

You frowned.

"Don't worry kana" Daisuke said "you know Kaito, the big bear, he can take care of himself"

You nodded with a slight smile.

"Daisuke!" a male voice yelled. Your brother turned to see who called him "Come on Daisuke we need to go" the guy yelled. Daisuke yelled that he would be there in a minute and a small group of earthbenders waited for him.

"I'm coming with you," you said. Now that you found your brother you did not want to leave him. Daisuke was silent he looked conflicted.

You walked back to zuko "Thank you so much for everything you've done for me" you said quietly.

"So you're leaving?" Zuko asked sadly but he tried to hide his sadness. You nodded.

"No" Daisuke said suddenly catching up with you. You and Zuko both turned to look at him "Kana you can't come with me, I miss my little sister but I need to help my people, I wish you could come but they aren't welcoming to any firebenders, I'm so sorry" Daisuke said sadly.

"I understand" you replied quietly.

"Prince Zuko please take care of my little sister" Daisuke asked. Zuko nodded nobly. Then Daisuke walked over to you and hugged you. "Kana I promise that you, me and Kaito will go home together" he said hopefully, you nodded sadly.

With one last look Daisuke began to walk back to the earthbenders, with a sad smile you and Zuko walked back to his ship.

(Daisuke)

It hurt to leave your little sister but at least she's with Prince Zuko, you know that he'll take care of her and protect her.

You returned to the other earthbenders.

"Was that your sister?" Haru asked. You nodded.

"Damn she's really hot!" Kenshin blurted.

Haru elbowed Kenshin "She could have come with us" he said "we understand that she's a good firebender, we'd treat her like any other person" he explained.

You chuckled. "I know but my sister has a crush on the Fire Prince and he likes her too, I couldn't ruin that now could I" you answered with a sly smirk.

(Zuko)

Kana has been avoiding you since you got back onto the ship. You're happy that she didn't leave but up until that moment it never occurred to you that when kana found her brothers, she would leave you...

You finally found Kana on deck staring out into the ocean you approached her silently but she still heard you

"You're not very good at being sneaky" kana commented with a soft giggle. "It might be easier without the armor" she added.

You chuckled lightly as you stood next to her. The tension between you two was very obvious and the awkward silence really didn't help.

"I'm sorry" Kana said suddenly.

"Why?" you asked confused.

She paused for a moment. "I don't know" she replied quietly. She sounded embarrassed and her pale face held a slight pink tone.

"I know you wanted to go with your brother, you don't have to be sorry for that," you said knowing the true reason she apologized

Kana smiled sweetly "Thank you Zuko" she said happily, then she kissed you lightly on the cheek and hurried away.
