You and Zuko keep getting closer, and sharing innocent kisses. You're still to shy to ask him out and you have no clue what he's thinking.
Right now you and Zuko are searching for Iroh, the old man disappeared as soon as you hit land and now Zuko wants to leave. Needless to say Zuko is not in a pleasant mood.
"Where could that old man be?" Zuko said in annoyance. You rolled your eyes. "What?" he questioned.
"You get annoyed so easily, you need to relax a little." you said.
Zuko's expression softened. "I cant relax until I have the avatar" he replied.
You nodded already knowing that he would say that. "Just promise me that you'll relax a little" you asked. Zuko being as stubborn as he is didn't reply. Then you got an evil idea. "No dual sword training until you relax a little"
Zuko swallowed his pride "fine" he mumbled in a playful tone; he really can't stay mad at you for long.
Eventually you found Iroh though you really wish that you didn't. Iroh was sitting naked in a hot spring.
"Uncle get out of the water, we need to go before we lose the avatar's trail" Zuko yelled in annoyance.
"Come on Prince Zuko you need to relax, why don't you take a dip in the hot spring, the water feels wonderful, I heated it myself" Iroh said in a very relaxed tone, not that the old man needed to be relaxed he drank so much relaxing tea.
"See" you said, "You do need to relax" you told Zuko. Zuko gave you a weary smile.
"Come on Uncle we need to go now" zuko yelled at his uncle.
"Ok" Iroh said as he stood up...completely naked.
You closed your eyes tight and Zuko put his hand over your eyes. "Ew so gross" you mumbled.
"On second thought, why don't you take a few more minutes" Zuko said clearly grossed out.
You heard Iroh sink back into the water. You and Zuko ran a good mile away before you stopped.
"Well that was unpleasant" you commented.
"I never want to see that again" Zuko stated miserably as he sunk to the ground in front of a tree. You giggled and sat next to him. "It's not funny" Zuko said rather childishly.
"But your so cute when your freaked out" you said giggling. He was so frustrated it was adorable.
"Kana" zuko said seriously.
"Yes" you said in a singsong voice.
Zuko said nothing; instead he poked you in the ribs. You're insanely ticklish so if someone pokes or tickles you, you laugh uncontrollably. Ever since Zuko found this out he's been using against you every chance he gets.
You jogged away from him, running just fast enough to stay out of his reach.
"Come on Zuko! Just a little faster" you teased.
Zuko sped up, determined to catch you but you stayed just out of his reach. When the ship came into view you slowed just enough for Zuko to reach you, he grabbed your arm gently but firmly and pulled you towards him.
"Caught you" Zuko said smugly.
You smiled evilly.
"You let me catch you, didn't you" Zuko asked defeated.
"I did nothing of the sort" you said in a sing-song voice "just be happy you caught me"
"Kana" Zuko said in fake anger.
You smiled innocently. Zuko rolled his eyes as you stuck your tongue out at him.
The two of you walked back to the ship and hung out for a few hours. But after a few hours Iroh still hadn't come back.
You, Zuko and a few soldiers went out to look for Iroh. You went back to the last place you saw Iroh. Instead of Iroh, you saw a pile of rocks.
"Where's my uncle" Zuko mumbled in annoyance.
"He's not here sir" a soldier said, thanks for pointing out the obvious.
"There appears to be a rock slide" another said gesturing to the pile of rocks.
"It's an unnatural settlement of rock, besides rocks don't slide up, it looks like the work of a sloppy earthbender" you explained, remembering all of Daisuke's explanations.
"My uncle's been kidnapped by earthbenders!" zuko concluded.
You followed Zuko and the soldiers back to the ship.
"Ready my rhino, Kana and I will find my uncle" Zuko announced to the crew.
You flinched. 'I hate rhinos, they aren't friendly' you thought nervously. You've been on Zuko's ship for a while now, and you've overcome many of your fears but you're still terrified of the rhinos and you will do everything in your power to not go near them. Zuko has no idea that you're scared and to be honest you're to embarrassed to tell him.
Zuko got onto the rhino. "Come on Kana" Zuko said as he outstretched his arm to help you up.
Theirs no way you're getting on the rhino. "I think I'll run you know I miss running," you said using the same excuse you use every time. Zuko hesitated for a second, but then nodded.
Zuko rode on the rhino and you ran beside it a few feet away. Every so often Zuko would ask if you wanted to get on the rhino but you denied it every time. You couldn't let Zuko know that your scared of the rhinos it would be too embarrassing.
Suddenly Zuko's rhino stopped, so you stopped and looked at what zuko was looking at. 'The avatar's bison' you thought. You knew Zuko wouldn't leave Iroh to go chase the avatar; he may be rude, and disrespectful but theirs good inside of him.
You and Zuko continued until you found Iroh surrounded by three earthbenders. They were going to crush his hands. This reminded you of Daisuke once again. He used to go on trips to the earth kingdom with your mom, but they never let you come because if anyone found out that you were a fire bender they would want to crush your hands. You cringed.
"Kana stay here" Zuko said "its dangerous" then he slid down to where Iroh and the earthbenders are.
'Does he honestly think that I'll listen to him' you thought as you slid down to the lower elevation.
Zuko kicked the rock that was hovering over Iroh's hands out of the way, then yelled "Kana I told you to stay up there"
"Since when do I listen to you," you replied with a smile. Zuko couldnt argue with that so he didn't push the subject any further
"Look two firebenders and a pretty girl to bad she's fire nation" one of the earthbenders said,
You glared daggers at the earthbender "make that three firebenders, it's an even fight" you stated.
"But you are clearly out-matched" Iroh added
The three earthbenders were easily defeated but you did get hit with a rather large rock and now you have a headache.
"Kana I told you it was to dangerous and now you're hurt" Zuko said with concern in his eyes.
"I know Zuko, and I'm fine really. I just wanted to fight" you told him. Honestly you'd hate it if you were one of those girls that just wait on the sidelines for a guy to save the day, that's just not you, you'd rather fight.
After a lot of Zuko worrying, you finally convinced him that your ok and that you could walk back to the ship, so Zuko and Iroh rode the rhino and you walked.
