Currently you're on Zuko's little boat, the same one the two of you had used recently and you're angry because the pirate captain is on the boat too. To be honest you're only here because Zuko is. You don't like this at all.
'This is so annoying, I don't like these pirates, they'll betray us and then Zuko will be in a bad mood for the rest of the day' you thought in annoyance. You leaned against the railing, waiting silently; hoping that Zuko would see this is a bad idea.
(Zuko)
"Are you sure this is where they'll be?" the pirate captain asked.
"They stole a water bending scroll, they'll be near water" you replied as you looked through your looking glass.
After a while you took a break from searching the shore. You suddenly wondered where Kana is, you haven't seen her in a while. After quickly looking around the boat you noticed that she was leaning against the railing, not too far from where you originally were, she looked sad. You walked over to her.
"Kana" you said "is something wrong?"
"No Zuko" Kana said with a sigh
You didn't believe that, something had to be bothering her; she would have smiled if she were happy. Before you could press the matter further one of the pirates ran up to you.
"Prince Zuko, the water bender has been spotted down the river," the pirate said.
You heard Kana sigh again as you turned to follow the pirate. 'I wonder what's wrong with Kana? Did I do something wrong?' you pondered.
You brushed off this feeling for now, you'd find out what was bothering kana later. You needed to make ambush plans with the pirates.
(Kana)
You weren't mad at Zuko but you weren't happy with him either. You ignored his silly plans and simply followed Zuko.
The pirates ambushed the avatar and his friends; the only one that didn't escape was Katara. Zuko had caught her and she's now tied to a tree.
"All you have to do is tell me where he is and I wont hurt your brother" Zuko threatened.
"Oh go jump in the river" Katara replied with venom in her voice.
You couldn't help but laugh. Zuko gave you a look
"Kana!" Zuko whined though he didn't mean to
"Sorry it was funny" you replied honestly.
Zuko shook his head and turned back to Katara. As calmly as he could Zuko said, "try to understand that I need to capture the avatar to restore something I've lost, my honor" Zuko said.
"Like I'd help you" Katara replied.
Zuko voiced his annoyance very loudly, and then asked you to watch her while he made sure the pirates weren't screwing anything up.
You watched zuko walk away and as soon as he was out of sight, you turned to Katara. "I believe this is yours" you said as you held out her necklace.
"My mother's necklace, but how did you get it?" Katara asked, but her tone was accusing
"I didn't steal it if that's what you think, I found it at the earthbender prison, I've been hiding it from Zuko so I could return it" you explained.
"I don't understand why you would..." she trailed off.
"Why would i return it? It's the right thing to do" you said confidently "besides I know how important those necklaces are, my father made one for my mother"
"But you're a firebender" Katara blurted out in surprise.
"I'm adopted, my father is a waterbender and my mother is an earthbender," you explained.
Katara nodded and paused for a moment then asked if you could let her go.
"I'm sorry I cant do that, I promised Zuko I would help him" you said.
"Why would you do that?" she asked in annoyance. She obviously couldnt comprehend why you, or anyone else for that matter, would help Zuko.
"The fire nation raided my island and they took my brothers Daisuke an earthbender and Kaito a waterbender, Zuko has been nice enough to help me look for them" you replied
After that Katara stayed silent. The pirates and Zuko returned with Aang and Sokka.
One of the pirates grabbed you from behind. They caught you by surprise. You struggled to free yourself but it was no use.
"Zuko!" you cried out desperately as you struggled.
Zuko got into a defensive stance. "What is the meaning of this?" he yelled angrily.
"You didn't mention that our target was the avatar, I'm sure the fire lord will pay handsomely for him" the pirate captain said.
"Then release Kana" Zuko demanded not even bothering to bargain for Aang, you were touched that you actually are more important to Zuko.
"I think we'll keep the pretty young woman" the pirate that was holding you said with a sickening smile.
That was the last straw, Zuko attack the pirate holding you. In the confusion Aang, Sokka and Katara got away. Sand flooded the fight making the free for all practically blind. You were trying your best not to attack Zuko, but you could hardly see to feet in front of you. At one point you were back to back with Zuko but now you have no idea where he went. The cloud of dust began to disperse and you could finally see.
Zuko was fighting the pirate captain but the other pirates seemed to disappear along with Aang's group. You made you way over to Zuko.
Iroh stopped the fight. "Are you too busy fighting to see that your own ship has set sail" he said as he gestured to Aang's group stealing the pirate ship.
'We don't have time for your proverbs uncle" Zuko yelled.
"It's no proverb" he said "look" he pointed it out.
"Bleeding hog monkeys" the pirate captain began to run after his ship.
Zuko laughed.
"Um Zuko" you said as you gestured to the pirates stealing his boat.
"Hey! That's my boat!" Zuko yelled as he began to chase his boat
"Maybe it should be a proverb," Iroh said to himself.
You and Zuko chased the two ships till you reached the edge of the cliff. Aang and his friends almost went over the waterfall but their bison saved them. The pirates weren't so lucky, they went over the waterfall in zuko's ship. The boat was smashed to pieces at the bottom of the waterfall but it seems like the pirates lived.
Zuko is well beyond angry; you tried your best to calm him.
Iroh walked over snickering "Price Zuko, Kana" he took a break to laugh "you'll never believe this, the lotus tile was in my sleeve the whole time"
That made you angry "Iroh!"
Without a word Zuko grabbed the lotus tile and threw it over the waterfall.
"Come on, let's go back to the ship" Zuko said tiredly as he took your hand.
You sighed and rested your head on his shoulder as the two of you walked to the ship.
Iroh looked sadly over the waterfall "my lotus tile" he sobbed
