For once Zuko actually wanted to stop the ship; the reason being that theirs no more food on the ship. So Zuko sent a few soldiers to get supplies. For the first time Iroh didn't want to go shopping; personally you thought it was a sign of the apocalypse.
Just as the soldiers returned and everyone was preparing to leave a girl riding a giant monster pounced onto the ship. You being absolutely terrified of giant, mean animals, hid behind Zuko who didn't seem to notice.
"What is the meaning of this" Zuko yelled angrily at the girl
"You've got a stowaway on your ship" the girl yelled.
"How would you know that" Zuko yelled.
"My shishu smelled it, he's never wrong" she explained confidently. You did not like this girl. And zuko was not convinced or amused.
The shishu suddenly tore a hole in the ship to show a malnourished man.
'I don't care if that beast was right, I don't like this, either it goes or I do' you thought scared half to death. The rhinos are kittens compared to this beast.
"How did you know" Zuko asked amazed.
"That was quite impressive" Iroh commented more on the girl then on the beast.
"My shishu sees by smelling, it the best tracker around" the girl said as she coldly pet the beast. She and the shishu left almost as fast as they came.
Zuko turned to you and Iroh. "Did you see that? If we had that shishu, we could use it to find the avatar" Zuko said in excitement. He noticed your fearful look but mistook it for interest. "We could also use it to find your brothers" he continued. Well at least he still cared about that. You had to admit you were a bit jealous.
"Zuko I don't have anything that still has my brother's scent on it" you told him. But he didn't seem to notice
Within minutes you, Zuko and Iroh were walking in the woods looking for that stupid girl and her shishu. Your search...actually it was Zuko's search wasn't going so well, you thought you were lost in the woods but Zuko wouldn't admit it.
After a few hours of wandering around, you ended up at a rundown dirty bar. Zuko pushed his way through the crowd of men. "Out of my way filth" Zuko yelled.
'Well they do look filthy' you thought.
"He means no offence! I'm certain you all bathe regularly." Iroh yelled.
"Could have fooled me" you mumbled.
"I need to talk to you" Zuko said to the girl whose name you found out was June.
"Well if it isn't my new friends Angry boy, uncle lazy and pretty face" June said.
"You need to pay for the damage to my ship" Zuko negotiated.
"Too late I already spent my money" June said then yelled "another round on me". All the old men cheered.
"I was thinking more along the lines of letting us use your shishu" Zuko suggested
June laughed, "What did you lose your girlfriend because pretty face here is way to pretty to be with you" June said, you wanted to punch her but Iroh held you back.
"I'm looking for a bald monk" Zuko said through clenched teeth attempting not to lose his temper. For once you wished he would lose his temper.
June agreed. The four of you went out outside, June and Iroh got on the shishu.
"Come on Kana" Zuko said as he climbed on.
"No way am I getting on that thing" you said backing away slightly.
"Come on Kana, we don't have all day" Zuko said impatiently.
"We could just leave her" June suggested with a smirk. Which earned a glare from you and Zuko.
Zuko jumped off the shishu and picked you up, you struggled a bit when he positioned you on the shishu between himself and Iroh. You held on so tightly with your eyes closed tight. You were completely terrified. The worst part is that Zuko hasn't even noticed.
The Shishu brought you to an old herbalist's home. You and Zuko walked inside, you were just glad to be off of that shishu.
"Zuko," you said timidly, "please don't make me..." you were cut off
"How can I help you?" the old herbalist asked.
"We're looking for someone" Zuko said
"I hope it's not Myuki" the women said looking at her cat. "Myuki, did you get into trouble with the fire nation again?" she asked the confused looking cat who simply meowed at her.
"Shes insane isn't she," you said sarcastically. Zuko nodded as he slapped his forehead. The two of you walked outside. You attempted to tell Zuko that you're scared of the shishu but June cut you off and you soon found yourself back on the beast, only this time you were behind zuko. You held onto him so tightly.
Zuko turned to you suddenly concerned. "Kana what's wrong?" he asked softly.
You were near tears so you just buried your face in his back.
Zuko carefully pulled you into his arms. "Kana please tell me what's wrong" he said softly, you could tell he was worried.
You wrapped your arms around his neck. "I'm scared," you said pathetically. It was not like you to be scared and even less like you to admit it.
"Of what?" Zuko asked in confusion.
"The shishu" you said then added, " I'm scared of any mean animal, I'm even scared of the rhinos." you confessed.
Zuko frowned, "why didn't you tell me?" he asked sadly.
"I tired, it just didn't work out so well" you replied looking away.
The Shishu suddenly stopped in the middle of a courtyard. All of you got off, needless to say you got off the fastest. Zuko hugged you from behind and said "I'll pay more attention from now on" as he released you he kissed your cheek. You smiled.
Then it was back to business. the two of you looked around and spotted Katara and Sokka but no Aang in sight.
"Where is he!? Where is the avatar?" Zuko yelled in a threatening way. You just thought he sounded silly.
"We split up, he's long gone" Sokka replied.
"How stupid do you think I am" Zuko yelled angrily.
"Pretty stupid" Sokka replied with a silly grin, you laughed softly which earned you a come-on-kana-your-making-me-seem-alot-less-threatening look from Zuko. You smiled innocently at him.
"Run!" Sokka suddenly yelled. It was a surprise attack on Zuko. Aang and Zuko began to fight. Katara and Sokka were trying to find ways to get the shishu to stop attacking Aang. Iroh was hitting on June...gross. And seriously this isn't the time for that!
You walked over to an old woman. "Would you care to hear your fortune?" the women asked as if it was any old day.
"No thank you," you replied with a smile "I like surprises." the women nodded. "By any chance have you seen a waterbender that could pass for a bear named kaito, and a tiny earthbender named daisuke?" you asked hopeful.
"No I haven't seen your brothers," the women said sadly.
"How did you...?" you trailed off.
"I predicted that a young women would come here in search of her brothers, your eyes hold sadness but hope." the women replied.
Ok that's freaky.
"May I give you some words of warning?" she asked suddenly. You looked at her curiously and nodded for her to continue. "You will suffer a heartbreak but it will all work out in the end." Her words only made you more confused but you decided not to push the topic any further.
You soon ended your conversation and looked around. Katara had water bended the perfume all around to confuse the shishu. It began to attack randomly. You ran over to Zuko.
"Kana look out!" Zuko yelled as you dodged the shishu's tongue a few times.
Aang and his friends escaped on his bison.
Zuko ran over to you in an attempt to protect you from the shishu, however he was too slow, and the shishu's tongue hit you and you fell to the ground paralyzed. Then Zuko was hit and fell onto you. June was hit and she fell onto Iroh.
"Ow" you said pathetically.
"Sorry" Zuko really did feel bad.
"I severely dislike your armor" you stated because the armor is currently cutting into your skin. Zuko frowned and tried to kiss your cheek but he couldn't because he's paralyzed.
"Uncle I didn't see you get hit with tongue" Zuko observed.
"Shhh" Iroh said as he winked.
"pervy old man" you mumbled.
Zuko's armor is definitely causing some sort of injury to your stomach area because you feel and intense pain coursing through that whole region of your body. .
When the paralysis wore off you pushed Zuko off you because he's still paralyzed.
"Kana" zuko said sadly, when he saw what his armor did to you. "I'm so sorry" there were several small gashes dotting your exposed abdomen. There was a decent amount of blood but you knew the wounds would heal fairly quickly.
"Don't worry about it" you said gently with a soft smile, "but if you ever make me go on an animal like that shishu again consider yourself single." you said attempting to keep a straight face but you couldn't help but giggle about the last part.
Zuko's eyes widened, "I swear I'll never make you do anything like that ever again" he said frantically.
You smile softly and called him silly.
When Zuko was able to move again the two of you walked back to the ship. Zuko carried you most of the way, because he was worried about your injuries, but when he did let you walk, he kept his arm securely around your waist.
