The ship has been in the open ocean for a while now; everyday it gets a little colder, as you get closer to the northern Water Tribe. You hope that Kaito will be there because he said that he always wanted to go there and train with a real waterbending master. To be honest you're very homesick, you love being with Zuko but you miss hanging out with Domon, Yahigo, and Ike and going to the lake with Daisuke and Kaito. Your mind drifted to your favorite spot, the cherry blossom tree, you remembered its brilliant beauty rather than the destruction you last saw.

You leaned over the railing a little bit to get a better view of the ocean below. You felt strong arms wrap around you. "Hey Zuko" you said with a soft smile.

"Hey" Zuko said as he buried his face in your back. You thought he was being adorable. He hugged you for a few seconds longer, and then as he pulled away he kissed the back of your neck, you shivered slightly. "Is something wrong?" he asked.

"Just a little homesick" you replied. "I miss my island," you said as you turned towards him. Zuko put an arm around you as the two of you gazed into the ocean.

Suddenly zuko spoke. "Kana" he hesitated for a moment. "What's going to happen when we find your brothers?" he asked

"I guess, Kaito, Daisuke and I will go home," you stated.

Zuko frowned.

"I wasn't finished silly," you giggled. "You can come stay with us whenever you like and I can come on the ship for a few months at time" you finished.

Zuko smiled "but I want to be with you all the time." he said rather childishly.

"We'll figure something out," you said with a soft smile. You leaned in and kissed his lips lightly. When you pulled away the two of you smiled at each other as you relaxed in his arms.

One of the crewmembers walked over "excuse me sir..."

Zuko cut him off by saying "just fix it."

"Congrats killjoy, we were having a moment" you mumbled.

The crewmen walked away.

You and zuko gazed at each other "kana I..." he was cut off.

"Sir" another crewmen said

"I said to go fix it"

"But sir"

"Go"

"But sir we..."

"Just fix it!"

"But sir!"

"What!" Zuko yelled angrily. You giggled at is outburst, he's adorable when he gets upset for no reason.

"Commander Zhou is aboard the ship" the crewmen said nervously as he covered his face, fearing zuko's temper. Ok this is a good reason to get upset.

Zuko growled loudly in annoyance. You're insanely annoyed because Zuko was going to say something and now he's too annoyed to say it. You and Zuko walked to the other side of the ship only to find commander monkey face himself.

"Prince Zuko I see you're looking well" Zhou said "and miss Kana as lovely as always" he looked you up and down. Making you feel really uncomfortable.

Zuko glared at him "what do you want Zhou" he said, his voice filled with venom.

Zhou was thrown off by Zuko's blunt hatred. "Well I see I'm not welcome, I'm planning and attack on the northern water tribe." Zhou paused dramatically.

"Can you get to the point?" you said rather bluntly,

Zhou glared at you but Zuko smirked.

"I'm taking your crew, for the attack," Zhou said with a creepy smile.

"You can't do that!" Zuko yelled.

"Actually I can, you have no power, your crew will be gone by sunset" Zhou stated coldly and left.

Zuko, who is now in his worst mood of the week, yelled angrily. "Fine! Take them all! The bunch of traitors."

You went to Zuko and tried to calm him, but it's not working very well. Zuko stormed off to his room with you following closely. Zuko laid across his bed with you sitting on the edge.

"Zuko please relax" you sighed.

"I am relaxed" Zuko replied in a very contradicting way.

"Zuko" you said with a playful glare.

"Who needs them" he said referring to the crew.

You leaned over him slightly so you could look into his eyes. "Are you trying to lie to me or yourself because I don't think either is working" your tone was soft but your words were strong.

Zuko sighed. "What am I gonna do Kana? We can't run the ship with three people, how am I going to capture the avatar." Zuko finally admitted.

You lay down next to him as he wrapped an arm around you, he kissed your forehead and you cuddled closer.

Suddenly the door slammed open and Iroh walked in not noticing that you and zuko were having a moment. It seems no one is noticing that today.

"I can't believe it, Zhou took everyone even the cook!" iroh complained.

Zuko sighed as the two of you sat up. Iroh complained about being hungry, you tuned that out.

The ship was docked at a small merchant town since the crew left.

"Well I'm going for a walk" Iroh announced. "Would either of you care to join me?"

Zuko simply flopped back onto his bed.

"No thank you Iroh" you said.

Iroh left and you and Zuko stayed silent for a few minutes. Zuko was sulking. You sighed. "I'm going to make some tea, do you want any?" you asked.

Zuko shook his head and went back to sulking. You kissed his lips softly then got up even though Zuko clearly wanted you to stay because it was either sulk or kiss you and he would rather kiss you. You left the room.

Walking through the halls of the ship felt weird, without all of the crewmen harassing you, you made your into the kitchen and began heating the tea.

You watched as Kana left the room, you sighed you really wanted to keep kissing her. She the one person you know that no one can take away from you. All day you've been trying to tell kana that you love her but you keep getting interrupted. As you stared at the ceiling all you could do was think of Kana. An odd sound caught your attention, you distinctly remember hearing it before so you got up and followed the echo to its source. You were shocked to discover the pirate's parrot.

"Kana!" you yelled as you turned and ran towards the kitchen.

That's when the ship exploded. You landed in the icy water wishing you weren't wearing your heavy armor. You frantically looked for Kana.

"Kana!" you heard Zuko yell. You turned towards the door.

Suddenly you were forced into the air by an explosion, your mind raced as you landed in the cold water among the wreckage that was once the ship. You frantically looked for Zuko. You finally found him underwater trying to remove his armor. You took a deep breath and swam to him. You helped him get his armor off. Zuko was barely conscious. You helped him swim to the dock but by the time you got there zuko wasn't breathing. You struggled to get Zuko out of the water and lay him on the dock as Iroh ran over.

"What happened? Is prince Zuko ok?" Iroh asked frantically.

You gave the wise old man an are-you-serious- look as you listened for Zuko's heartbeat. It was faint but he still wasn't breathing, you began to give Zuko mouth to mouth, on the third one you began to get hopeless.

"Zuko please be ok" you whispered. "I love you" tears began forming in your eyes.

You gave him mouth to mouth again, when you tried to pull away to listen to his heart, you felt Zuko pull you down and kiss you. When he allowed you to pull away Zuko had a proud smirk on his face.

"I love you too kana" zuko said

"Were you find the whole time" you asked about to be angry.

"No I wasn't ok until the last one" he coughed as he leaned on his elbows. "Did you really mean what you said?" he asked nervously his eyes full of amazement and love.

You nodded shyly, you didn't think was able to hear you. Zuko captured your lips in another kiss. When he pulled away he smiled at you. "I love you Kana, I think I have since the first moment I saw you in that clearing."

You couldn't help but smile.
