You and Zuko have been traveling for a few days, Zuko seems to have gotten over what happened at the last village and he's more determined then ever to find the avatar. You pointed out some tracks from some sort of machine

"Fire nation" you commented.

"Azula" Zuko said angrily.

You concluded that the tracks came from some sort of fire nation machine.

"It has to be aula" Zuko said clenching his fists "she's the only one who would be this far into the Earth Kingdom without reinforcements" Zuko finished.

You nodded. Chocobo followed the tracks. You've been riding for hours. You felt so bad for Chocobo he must be exhausted.

"Zuko can we give Chocobo a break?" you asked

Zuko looked at you then looked at Chocobo "yeah" he sighed.

Chocobo slowed to a stop, then you and Zuko got off. You led Chocobo to a stream so he could drink. Zuko was looking around. "Gross" you said as you noticed the clumps of wet bison fur. "It looks like Aang has been here" you commented.

"And Azula" zuko said as he gestured to her abandoned machine. "We should go as soon as we can" Zuko added.

"Just a few more minutes" you told him as you pet Chocobo.

Zuko nodded and walked over to you, he wrapped his arms around you. "How are you feeling?" he asked out of the blue

"Good I guess" you replied.

"Homesick?" he asked.

You nodded looking away; Zuko lightly kissed your forehead. "I love you and I'll get you and your brothers home safely" Zuko promised.

You hugged him "I love you too"

A few minutes later you were back on Aang and Azula's trail. By sunset you came to a small abandoned looking village. You tied Chocobo to a tree outside of the village. Staying in the shadows you and Zuko made your way through the village. You overheard a few voices. From your hiding spot you saw Azula, Aang, Sokka, Katara, and an earth kingdom girl that you've never seen before. You pointed Zuko in the right direction. The two of you waited for the right time to show yourselves.

"You still don't know who I am? You don't see the family resemblance? Let me give you a hint." Azula then covered one eye with her hand. "I must find the avatar to restore my honor!"

Aang's face held a blank expression.

Zuko was not amused. "I don't sound like that" he mumbled. You giggled at his reaction.

"Its ok you can laugh, its funny" Azula said.

"Does she have any social skills?" you asked

"No, she only knows war and how to hurt people" Zuko said seriously.

"Are you sure you really want to fight me?" Azula was about to fight Aang when you and Zuko came out of hiding

"Yes I really want to" Zuko said in Aang's place.

"Zuko! Kana!" Aang yelled in shock, it really has been a long time since Zuko was this close to capturing Aang.

"I was wondering when you'd show up Zuzu, and I see you're still with your little whore" Azula said.

"Zuzu" Aang said laughing.

You shot fire at Azula. "I am not a whore you conceded cow" you insulted Azula.

Azula seemed to become flustered by your comment, which gave Zuko the perfect chance to attack her but he didn't, aula spoke instead. "Stop, I know when I'm defeated a princess surrenders with honor" she said, but as her parting gift she sent a bolt of lightning at Iroh who you just noticed was there.

Azula fled.

"Uncle!" Zuko yelled.

"Oh agni, Iroh" you said as you and Zuko ran over to the wise old man.

"Zuko" Aang said.

"Leave us!" Zuko yelled, he masked his sadness with violence.

Aang and his friends left. You helped Zuko lift Iroh and bring him into a small house by a cliff.

You treated Iroh's wounds to the best of your ability. You and Zuko huddled under a blanket across the room from Iroh as you waited for Iroh to wake up.

Zuko kept his arms around you, holding your tiny frame tightly to his body. Neither of you spoke, you didn't have to, both of you were too fearful for Iroh's life to speak.

That night was bitterly cold even for a firebender. You cuddled into Zuko's chest; he kissed your forehead and laced your fingers together
