A few days have passed and Iroh's recovery is going well. Today he is finally well enough to get up. Instinctively Zuko made some tea and you helped Iroh to the makeshift table.

"Here uncle, I hope I made it the way you like it" Zuko said as he passed a cup of tea to Iroh.

Iroh took a sip and as soon as Zuko looked away he made a grossed out face and dumped the tea out the window. You giggled at the sight of it. Zuko turned to you with a questioning look but dismissed the idea.

The three of you sat in a circle.

"Uncle I'm sorry about me and Kana leaving. It was childish and a harsh decision." Zuko said in shame.

"It is fine Prince Zuko, It shows that you would do whatever is best for Kana." Iroh answered.

You blushed a light shade of pink as Zuko smiled at you.

Changing the topic Zuko stated, "Uncle I think we should continue my training, I want to be prepared to fight Azula. I know what you're going to say, that she's my sister and we should..."

Iroh cut him off " No she's crazy, she needs to go down" he said frantically.

"I think crazy is an understatement" you mumbled. You really can't stand Azula, then again who really can?

"Prince Zuko we shall resume your training, Kana, yours too" Iroh added.

You left the table to change into a tight green top and matching green and gold skirt that was easy to fight in then joined Zuko and Iroh outside.

Iroh explained things about all four nations, you spaced out a bit because you already knew most of it from Kaito and Daisuke. Zuko seemed really interested.

"You can learn techniques by watching other benders?" Zuko asked curiously.

"Of course!" iroh said with a laugh "It's like Kana's fighting style."

You smiled, "he's right, the grace was from watching Kaito water bend and some of my techniques are from practicing and the precision is of course firebending"

"That's right" Iroh said "now, let's have tea"

Zuko slapped his forehead. This time Iroh made the tea so it tasted good.

"Lightning is pure expression of firebending, without aggression. It is not fueled by rage or emotion, the way other firebending is. Some call lighting 'the cold blooded fire' it is precise and deadly like Azula. To perform the technique requires peace of mind." Iroh explained.

"I see that's why we're drinking tea" Zuko commented. You giggled knowing your drinking tea simply because Iroh wanted to.

" Oh yeah, good point"

After the tea was finished, the three of you stood by the edge of the cliff.

"Now the technique I'm about show you, I learned from watching waterbenders, It might protect you from lightning." Iroh explained. Then he extended his right arm "we're going to redirect lightning, it will travel down your arm" then he moved his right arm so it was over his stomach. "The lightning will travel through your body, it is vital you guide it down to your belly. Some call it the sea of chi, or it my case its more like a vast ocean" Iroh said trying to be funny.

Zuko just gave him a blank stare.

You giggled, "come on Zuko have a sense of humor"

"Uncle's jokes get old" he replied in a teasing way.

"You're so mean" you said giggling, zuko rolled his eyes and smiled.

Iroh continued. He extended his left arm "then the lightning will exit through your other arm"

Iroh had you and Zuko practiced the motions. It came easy to you because you've always been graceful and this move was very similar to one Kaito used to practice all the time. It wasn't so easy for Zuko he was too tense.

"Good Kana, Prince Zuko you need to loosen up, go with the flow" Iroh said as he wiggled his arms in a wave motion.

After Zuko loosened up a bit, he finally got the hang of it.

"Uncle, I'm ready for real lightning!" Zuko said confidently.

"What are you crazy?! I'm not going to shoot lightning at you!" Iroh stated.

Zuko lost his temper yet again. "Fine I'll go find my own lightning!" and with that the angry prince ran to Chocobo, mounted and rode off.

Iroh looked down sadly, knowing his nephew did not understand the reason for teaching him this technique.

"I'll go after him," you said sadly. You really hate when Zuko does this and with that you ran after Prince pain in the ass.

You finally found Zuko trying to redirect lightning at the edge of a cliff. He yelled every time the lightning struck because he couldn't redirect it properly. You sat down as you waited for him to calm down. You knew it would be a while.

It began to downpour.

'You would think the cold rain would cool down his temper' you thought.

Zuko yelled, "You've always thrown everything you could at me! Well I can take it and now I can give it back! Come on! Strike me! You've never held back before!" he tried a few more times and failed.

Finally exhausted he turned around. He was shocked to see you, and then he looked down in shame. "How long have you been here Kana" he asked in a small voice.

"Long enough" you replied with a sad smile, "let's go back, come on, you're soaked." you said as he slowly walked to you, you reached out for him.

Zuko wrapped an arm around you "so are you" he replied with a sly grin. You smiled softly at him.

The two of you walked back to the cottage, with Chocobo following.

Suddenly you turned to Zuko, he looked at you curiously. "Please don't scare me like that again" you asked pleadingly.

"I'm sorry, it wont happen again" Zuko said ashamed. You could tell he felt foolish and embarrassed about his earlier actions.

That night Iroh made more tea, big surprise there, as you and Zuko cuddled to keep warm. You slept pleasantly that night.
