The next morning you woke up bright and early because you would be starting your new job today, the only problem is that Zuko is still asleep and he won't let go of you.

"Zuko" you whispered slightly struggling to get out of his grip. He held you a little tighter and rolled over. You sighed. "Oh angi, of course since we haven't been on the ship he's become a heavy sleeper," you mumbled in annoyance. You love being close to Zuko but this was a bit ridiculous

You suddenly got a wonderful idea. You shifted in Zuko's arms so you were facing him, then you began to kiss his neck, softly nibbling every so often.

Zuko's grip began to loosen as he woke up you leaned over him. "Morning sleepyhead" you said with a smile.

Zuko yawned and stretched a little "Why'd you stop? It was nice"

You giggled softly and went back to kissing his neck. You kissed up his neck to his lips and kissed him passionately. Sometime during the kiss Zuko turned so that he was leaning over you.

After realizing that air is important Zuko pulled away even though he clearly didn't want to. As Zuko was about to start kissing you again you heard Iroh

"Are you two up yet"

"Yes, Iroh" you called.

Zuko frowned " I'd rather kiss you then go to work" he mumbled.

You shook your head "I would rather kiss you too but remember how you wanted better living conditions? We gotta work for it," you said as you elbowed him playfully.

Zuko made a low growl

"You are so needy" you giggled.

Zuko smirked and began to kiss your neck and the exposed skin your top didn't cover.

"Zuko" you mumbled. He just smiled and went back to kissing you. "Zuko you can kiss me all you want later," you said even though you really wanted him to continue.

Zuko sighed "alright but you wont get away from me tonight"

"Is that a threat or a promise" you asked with a sly smile.

Zuko simply smirked as he got up and helped you up.

You went into the bathroom and took a quick bath. You dressed in a green skirt with gold trim and a white strapless top that ended where your rib cage ends. You left the bathroom and Zuko went in. as you finished drying your hair Zuko returned wearing earth kingdom clothes, they looked strange on him but you ignored it.

Iroh led you to your new job...you should have known.

"You got us jobs at a tea shop" Zuko said in disbelief.

You slapped your forehead

"Isn't it wonderful" Iroh said brightly.

You walked in and the owner greeted you and gave out jobs. Iroh was supposed to sweep and clean and you and Zuko were supposed to wait on tables.

The morning was pretty uneventful, guys tried to flirt with you, which ended with you politely turning them down and zuko getting jealous and being over protective. You couldn't help but giggle 'he's so cute when he's angry at the world' you thought.

Things didn't get interesting until Iroh went on his break.

"Bleck!" Iroh yelled loudly as he spit out his tea "this tea is nothing more than hot leaf juice!"

"Uncle that's what all tea is" zuko said.

Iroh was horrified, absolutely horrified. "How could a member of my own family say something so horrible!"

"Stop making a scene or I'll fire you!" the owner yelled.

"I'm going to make the tea," Iroh said as he walked into the kitchen. Iroh and the owner continued arguing about the tea.

"I have a lot of respect for Iroh but sometimes he's just ridiculous" you commented.

Zuko shook his head "he's pretty insane most of the time"

After a long day at work you, Zuko and Iroh went back to the apartment. Zuko seemed unhappy. You frowned but went to change because tea spilled all over your white top so you changed into a pale green one. You walked into the living room just in time to hear the end of Zuko and Iroh's conversation.

"This city is a prison, I don't want to make a life here" Zuko said angrily.

"Life happens where ever you are, whether you make it or not" Iroh reasoned.

Zuko turned away in anger. You sighed, this really frustrated you, nothing you could do could make Zuko happy, you came from a simple life but he didn't, sometimes you just didn't know what to do, frustrated you said "Zuko I love you but sometimes you just aren't realistic" you walked towards the door. "I'm going for a walk" and with that you left.

Kana just left

"Uncle what did she mean?" you asked sadly.

Uncle thought for a moment then said, "your life is with Kana, it doesn't matter where you are. She's homesick but she makes sacrifices to be with you, to her a horrible life with you is better than one without you"

Somehow that didn't make you feel any better. You thought for a moment and realized you must have hurt Kana's feelings. You stood up; your heart ached because you hurt Kana again. "I'm going after her" and with that you left.

You were wondering around the streets, you watched the people around you. You felt bad about leaving but you needed to think. Its been upsetting you that Zuko is so unhappy with how you've been living. Honestly you wouldn't mind better living conditions or for you life to go back to normal but being with Zuko makes everything better.

You sighed "I just wish I could make him happy" you whispered.

"You do make me happy" Zuko said softly from behind you.

He startled you so you jumped a little then turned to face him. "Zuko I..." he cut you off.

"No Kana, I'm sorry. I'm frustrated that I cant live like I used to, I'm stupid and I didn't realize it upset you to see me like that" Zuko said.

"Of course it upset me silly, I care about you," you said softly.

"I'll try to make the most of where ever we end up living" Zuko promised as he pulled you to him.

You smiled "thank you"

"I love you kana"

"I love you too Zuko" you hugged him

When you pulled away zuko kept an arm around you as the two of you walked back to the apartment.

As you walked into the living room Iroh greeted you "would you lovebirds like a refreshing cup of tea?"

"I'll pass" you said quickly.

"We've worked in a tea shop all day" Zuko said "I'm sick of tea" he continued.

You had to admit you were sick of tea too.

Once again Iroh was horrified "SICK OF TEA! That is like being sick or breathing!" Iroh yelled

You giggled, "that's a little dramatic, don't you think"

Iroh continued mumbling about how teenagers today don't appreciate tea as much as they should.

Zuko led you to the bedroom

"What's gotten into you?" you asked

"I did say you weren't getting away from me tonight" Zuko replied with a sly smirk.

You smiled as you bit your lip.
