Chan's house was packed, there were laughing teenagers everywhere, and you blended in perfectly. Daisuke walked over to a group of people you recognized from the beach. Kaito went right to the dance floor, and started dancing… if you could even call it that…

"So that's what he meant when he said he wanted to bust a move," you mumbled slightly horrified.

"It looks like he might bust something else…" Jet trailed off. You looked at each other and shuttered.

"I'll have to teach him how to dance" you decided.

"It might be a lost cause" Jet commented as kaito almost knocked out two other dancers.

You decided to ditch Jet and mingle with people. You kind of felt bad about ditching him but its the only way you'd be able to talk to people. On the other hand, Jet always following you is getting pretty creepy.

(Daisuke's Pov)

You talked to a few people you met at the beach, but you weren't really into the conversation. You noticed a girl walking on her hands across the room, she looked familiar but you couldn't place where you've seen her before. You couldn't see Kana or Jet but Kaito was somewhat near you.

You almost got hit with one of Kaito's flailing limbs

"Hey, hey watch it!"

"Oops sorry bro" Kaito said as he stopped dancing "what up?"

You pulled Kaito aside "something doesn't feel right, keep your guard up" you said in hushed tones.

Kaito nodded, "yeah I noticed too, any sign of kana?"

"No she disappeared, probably to ditch Jet"

"Sometimes I really want to punch him" kaito mumbled

"You'll have to get in line, you know kana would want the first punch," you said with a laugh, then you walked back to your friends, kaito went back to busting a move, you kind of hoped he would bust something else so no one else would have to see him dance.

(Kana's POV)

You stood on the balcony by yourself, it was nice, and to be honest you weren't really interested in the party. Kaito and Daisuke used to go to parties back home all the time; you never really went to them. You felt awkward with all these people around, you thought it might get your mind off Zuko but it wasn't working you sighed and watched the waves crash against the shore.

Suddenly the door opened and Chan walked out.

"It's nice out tonight," Chan said.

"Yeah" you replied not wanting to be rude. Chan stood next to you, a bit too close so you moved over.

"So earlier, those guys you were with are…?" Chan trailed off.

"The big bear like one and the tiny one are my brothers, the other is a friend" you replied.

"So does that mean your single?" he asked

"Its complicated" you did not like where this conversation is going.

"Oh" he seemed disappointed.

You stood in an awkward silence for a while; you wished he would just leave so you could enjoy the view.

(Jet's POV)

You couldn't find kana anywhere. You wondered around the party. You noticed a dark haired girl looking pretty miserable in the corner, she seemed familiar but you had no idea where you've seen her before. You shrugged it off; most fire nation girls look the same to you anyway.

You were shocked to see Zuko sitting on a couch across the room. Thankfully he didn't see you. You smirked; you definitely need to find Kana. You stayed out of Zuko's line of sight while you continued to look for Kana.

(Kana's POV)

Chan was still trying to talk to you when you heard the door open again, you were thankful to see Jet.

"Hey kana how bout that dance you promised me" Jet said with a look that said play along.

You also didn't like where this was going, considering the last time Jet gave you that look it was so he could kiss you in front of Zuko. But at this point Jet was definitely the lesser of the evils.

"Sorry Chan, I did promise him," you said as Jet grabbed your hand and led you inside.

"Thanks" you said as Jet closed the door leaving a very confused Chan outside.

"No problem, it looked like you needed help" He said, "though I wouldn't mind a dance, it mean this is a party after all"

You rolled your eyes, "fine one dance, and we're staying away from kaito" you replied with a smile. You really don't dislike Jet, you just wish you could just be friends.

When you got to the dance floor you couldn't help but laugh, Kaito's dancing appeared to have gotten worse.

"Please tell me you dance better than my brother," you said with a laugh.

"I don't think anyone is as bad as your brother" Jet replied with a smile.

(Daisuke's POV)

"Hey where are you from anyway?" one of your beach friends asked.

"The colonies" you lied. "We're here on vacation"

"Aw you're leaving soon?" another asked.

You nodded.

"Too bad we wanted you to join our volleyball team"

You sort of wished you could stay here, it was nice here but you knew that soon it would be the day of black sun, and you would be fighting with the avatar. You were knocked out of your thoughts by a loud voice.

"That's a sharp outfit Chan, Careful you could puncture the hull of an empire class Fire Nation battle ship, leaving thousands to drown at sea…because its so sharp."

Your eyes widened in shock, it was Azula, and seriously she really doesn't have people skills, you rushed over to Kaito.

(Kana's POV)

You had to admit Jet was a pretty good dancer. You were knocked out of your thoughts when someone stood in front of you. You were shocked.

"Back off" Zuko growled at Jet.

"Zuko" you said in disbelief.

He glanced at you with a sad smile. He was about to say something when Jet punched him in the face. You went to comfort Zuko but you were held back. You struggled to get out of their grip but they were too strong.

"Kana we need to get out of here, Azula is here," Daisuke said as Kaito carried you out of the house. You could have sworn Zuko called out to you.

"Let me go Zuko's in there" you said pathetically.

"I'm sorry" Kaito said "but Jet's making a scene it wouldn't be long before everyone noticed us"

You stopped struggling. You were so close to Zuko and you couldn't even talk to him. You saw Jet running up to you three. He looked pretty beat up.

(Jet's POV)

You punched Zuko again as he called out to Kana

"Quiet or you'll get her killed" you said in a harsh tone. Zuko looked at you so you continued. "Sure draw attention to Kana when we're on an island full of firebenders"

Zuko looked shocked. You just smirked. Which seemed to piss Zuko off because he grabbed the front of your shirt and threw you into the nearby wall. Then he punched you in the face.

"Stay away from Kana" Zuko growled.

"Why should I?" you laughed. "Kana's mine now"

Zuko looked like he was about to punch you again, but he just clenched his fists, you took this opportunity to punch him in the face. He staggered back and wiped blood from his mouth.

"You really think kana still loves you? Well you're dead wrong, you left her in prison, to be executed. I helped her escape and save her brothers," you said, "now which one of us do you think she likes more." And with that you ran out of the house.
