After wandering for a while you finally found your way to the cherry blossom tree. You fell to your knees crying. You couldn't even remember the last time you cried,and to make things worse you weren't entirely sure why were crying. You were just so overcome with emotion. Everything is so confusing and you've spent so long holding back your emotions. You just cried for a long time.

Once you calmed down a bit, you sat with your back against the tree and your knees pulled up to your chest, you silently cried as you thought about everything you've been through. On the one hand Jet was right, Zuko hasn't done anything to help you, but on the other hand, how could he. Seeing him tonight just made everything even more confusing. You heard footsteps but you didn't care enough to look up.

"Kana…"

You looked up to see Zuko; he looked at you as if he couldn't believe you were actually there. Then he noticed that you were crying. Zuko collapsed next you and pulled you into his arms. You continued to cry. Zuko just held you close and whispered things like 'its ok, it will be alright' and 'I love you, I'm here.'

"Zuko…" you mumbled, he looked at you so you continued, "I can hardly believe you're here"

Zuko frowned, "I know" he paused "I wasn't there for you all the times I should have been"

"Zuko..." you trailed off.

"No kana," Zuko moved a few strands of hair away from your face, "I should have been there for you, I don't know why I thought I wanted to go home, I hate it"

You were silent for a few moments, "Its all you've ever known" Zuko gave you a look so you continued, "you wanted to go home because you've spent years trying to go home, its all you've ever known."

"Stop justifying it!" Zuko snapped in frustration. "Kana" he continued in a softer voice "I'm wrong, I fucked up, you're so kind and wonderful and I don't deserve you"

"I deserve you, because I love you, you deserve me because I hope you love me"

"I love you so much"

The two of you silently stared at each other, your eyes still full of tears. Zuko looked at you like you could disappear at any second. A cold breeze caused you to shiver. You're a great firebender but you've never been able to regulate your body temperature very well. Without thinking you moved closer to Zuko, who upon feeling you shiver held you tighter. He was warm and you missed being in his arms. You enjoyed the moment.

"Kana how can you still love me?" Zuko asked as he buried his face in your hair.

You sighed, "Well at this point I'm starting to think I may be a masochist"

"Kana!"

"I'm kidding, I'm kidding, relax," you laughed, you paused and thought for a moment, "I just love you… I think you're a wonderful person, you just make bad decisions sometimes"

"You mean all the time"

"Not all the time, I mean you're here now," you said with a smile.

The two of you sat in a comfortable silence under the cherry blossom tree. Zuko sat with his back against the tree and you in his arms. You missed this, Zuko being sweet, feeling loved, feeling completely comfortable with another person. You're confident about yourself but it hard for you to feel comfortable with people; Zuko always makes you feel like you're the only person in world.

(Zuko's POV)

You could hardly believe that Kana is here, in your arms, and she still loves you, even after all the times you've screwed up. You couldn't help but feel like you don't deserve her, but as long as she loves you, you're not going to complain. You rested your chin on Kana's shoulder and she cuddled into you. She smelled like vanilla. If it were up to you, you'd stay like this forever.

"Zuko?" Kana asked.

"Hmm?" you mumbled.

"What are we going to do?" She asked timidly.

You sighed, "can't we just stay like this?" you asked.

"I wish we could," she mumbled. "But what's going to happen?"

"I don't know…" you trailed off and thought for a moment. "Lets run away" you said suddenly.

Kana was so shocked that she pulled away from you, so she could look at your face.

"What do you mean, run away?" She asked in confusion.

"Lets run away, right now" you replied. "We'll go somewhere, anywhere, just us, right now" you said in excitement.

You could hardly believe what you were saying you never do anything spontaneously. Running away with Kana seemed like a great idea, the two of you could be together.

(Kana's POV)

"Zuko what about your crazy sister, she will follow us"

"We'll just have to find a place where she won't find us," Zuko said, he seemed so confident.

"What about my brothers?" you asked, "I can't just leave them" you looked down and pulled your knees up to your chest.

Zuko hugged you, "kana, we can be together"

"Zuko I just found my brothers, I can't leave them, not right now." You paused, "you can come with us!"

Zuko frowned; he did not like that idea. "I'm pretty sure your brothers want to kill me"

"Only Kaito does" you said, Zuko gave you a look, "I won't let him hurt you"

"Why can't we just run away?"

"Because it would break my brother's hearts, I can't just leave them, Zuko you can come with us, and we can be together"

Zuko sighed and you lost hope. "Come on, let's go find your brothers," he said as he stood up.

You jumped up and hugged him, "Zuko, I love you!"

He laughed, "I love you too, you're so adorable" he said as he wrapped his arms around you.

You closed your eyes and leaned in, Zuko kissed you innocently.

You heard clapping. You opened your eyes, Zuko looked as confused as you felt, he held you closer.

"Good work Zuzu, father will be happy that you caught the criminal" Azula said as she walked out of the bushes clapping.

"Caught… The…" you realized what was going on, "Criminal" you said in shock as you pulled away from Zuko.

"Kana, I didn't…I mean, I don't know what's going on" Zuko rambled.

"May, Ty Lee, get her." Azula said as Ty Lee ran at you and May throw a few throwing needles at you.

You got out of Zuko's grasp, just in time to dodge the needles. Zuko got hit with them in the arm. You looked at him worried.

Ty Lee was almost to you, you tried to run but Ty Lee caught up to you, you tried to dodge her attacks but it was useless, she hit a few pressure points on you. You tried to firebend but it wouldn't work.

You looked at your hands "My bending" you said pathetically with your eyes wide.

"Azula stop this" Zuko said.

You dodged a few more of Ty Lee's attacks. You tried to firebend but it still wouldn't work.

"Zuzu aren't you forgetting our little plan" Azula said.

"You planned this!" you yelled as tears ran down your cheeks and Ty Lee tried to attack you.

"I didn't know…" Zuko trailed off.

You were far away from him now; May was still throwing needles at you while Ty Lee attacked. You wiped the tears away from your eyes, you refused to let another tear fall. Your only option is to run, theirs no way they would be able to catch you. You kicked Ty Lee in the face, knocking her down. You looked at Zuko with hallow eyes, he pathetically reached out to you. You swiftly took off running into the woods.

'Did he even mean any of the things he said' you thought as you ran. You ran in a zigzag through the woods for a while to make sure you couldn't be followed, before returning to the road.

'how could I be so stupid, it was all a trap'

(Zuko's POV)

Azula was laughing, Mei and Ty Lee were running after Kana, you knew they would never be able to catch her, but you clenched your fists in anger.

"Aw Zuzu you actually thought you could run away!" Azula laughed. "You're lucky I'm not going to tell father about this"

"Tell him, nothing he could do would be worse than this"
