By the time you woke up it was around noon, you stretched and noticed that you were covered with a blanket and Smellerbee and Longshot were gone.

"Morning beautiful"

For a second you could sworn you were in Ba-Sing- Se waking up with Zuko. The first thing Zuko would say every morning was 'morning beautiful.' The boat shook and you came to your senses. You looked in the direction the voice came from, it was Jet.

"What? All I said was morning beautiful"

You sighed, "please don't call me that"

"Why not its true"

"Just don't"

"Tell me why"

"I don't have to tell you anything, if you're going to bother me, then just leave me alone" you sighed. You kind of felt like you had a hangover; it was probably just the seasickness getting to you.

Jet paused, he suddenly looked sad. "Look I'm sorry, I didn't mean to upset you" he said, "I wanted to apologize… I've been a jerk"

"Kaito threatened you didn't he" you asked, apologizing is fine but it was not like jet to admit he was being a jerk.

"He can be very persuasive" Jet said with a nervous chuckle. "But I really am sorry"

"I appreciate it, I'm sorry I punched you last night"

"Eh its fine, so are we friends?"

You nodded with a smile "friends" you agreed.

"Good because we make a really great team" Jet said.

"Yeah" you mumbled as all the memories of last night came back to you. Jet was about to say thing but thankfully Daisuke walked over to you.

"Good afternoon sleepyhead, how are you feeling?" he asked.

"I'm alright" you replied, then turned to Jet "I thought you said it was morning" he gave him a questioning look

"Well its morning for you" he shrugged.

You rolled your eyes, "so where are we going?" you asked.

"Theirs an air temple not to far from here, its suppose to be really hard to get to it would be a good place for us to hide. Plus Aang and his friends might show up there," Daisuke explained.

"So how much longer will I be stuck on this boat?" you asked.

"Kaito says we should be there by tomorrow morning"

You nodded and stared off into the ocean, Daisuke and Jet took that as their cue to leave you alone. Being on the boat reminded you of living on Zuko's ship. You frowned. All of your thoughts always go back to Zuko. You wanted to believe Zuko last night but he didn't even try to save you, maybe it was a lie.

(Zuko's POV)

You left Ember Island early in the morning and by early afternoon you back at the palace. You couldn't stop thinking about Kana. You need to fix this.

You found yourself standing in front of a large portrait of firelord Sozin. You came to the realization that you have no idea how he died; all you really know about him is that he started the war with Sozin's comet. You ignored the thought; you were nothing like your great grandfather.

"Why can I never think of anything to do" you yelled in frustration. You flopped down on your bed and threw a pillow at the wall. "I'm so pathetic, I couldn't even help kana last night." You clenched your fists, "She must hate me," you mumbled.

You closed your eyes and remembered last night. You wished you could hold kana. Last night seemed more like a dream; it was so perfect until Azula showed up. She always ruins everything.

You decided to go see Uncle today. Maybe he would talk to you this time because it's about Kana.

(Kana's POV)

You were pretty thankful that everyone was avoiding you. You really didn't want to talk to anyone right now; you needed some time by yourself. You couldn't help but think about last night, it was so perfect. Feeling guilty and torn about wishing you were with zuko, you decided to do some training.

You tried to fire bend but you failed. "Oh right…" you mumbled remembering your fight with Ty Lee. You started to panic a little, worried that you would never be able to fire bend again.

Maybe being left alone with your thoughts wasn't the best thing, all you could think about was how wonderful it was to be with Zuko, how hurt and betrayed you felt and how worried you are about your bending.

(Zuko's POV)

Sneaking into the prison was easy, you've done it so many times that it's become second nature, and you've even learned the differences between the guard's footsteps. You quietly approached Uncle's cell. You were shocked to see how skinny he's gotten since the last time you visited him. He looked at you with a blank expression.

You kneeled before him and bowed your head. "Uncle, I don't expect you to talk to me but I wish you would…" you trailed off and waited a few seconds. No response, so you continued. "Uncle, when I was on Ember Island, I saw Kana, I almost ran away with her but Azula ruined everything… Kana must hate me now"

Silence.

When you were about to speak again, you were shocked to hear Uncle's voice.

"Kana has every right to hate you"

That was harsh; you felt a pain in your chest. You knew that he's right. "I know, I messed up but I want to try to fix everything," you said.

"Prince Zuko you need to learn what you really want in life, you had Kana but you gave that up to be here" Uncle said, stating the obvious.

"I know Uncle!" you yelled in frustration. "I don't know what to do"

Uncle turned away from you. You frowned.

"Fine I don't need your help," you mumbled spitefully, and with that you turned and left.
