Welcome back! I apologize for the wait I just got back from an amazing vacation in Mexico, it was fun but I missed righting for you guys… I'm back though so YAY! Ok so there was a tie for the BTB so I asked some friends on what one I should wright and they voted for The One That Got Away. So once I finish the review answers it will be on with the story!

Finally Back to the story!
In the ThunderClan camp…
Bright light shone into the eyes of a beautiful apprentice, she opened her heather colored eyes.
"Oh, good morning Shinepaw,"
A sliver tom with blue eyes stood in a nest near her, grooming his ruffled fur.
"Oh hey Heatherpaw, good morning!"
Heatherpaw looked over at the silver apprentice, her heather eyes meeting his blue ones.
"Heatherpaw get ready for training… NOW!"
A golden she-cat looked into the den her green eyes flaring with annoyance. The tortoiseshell dipped her head and replied.
"Right away Goldenshine!"
Goldenshine nodded briskly and backed out of the apprentice den.
After some chatting with Shinepaw and grooming Heatherpaw left the den and met her mentor at the sandy hollow.
"Nice to finally see you Heatherpaw, BEGIN!"
A silver blur shot at the tortoiseshell she-cat. With an angry growl Heatherpaw launched herself at the blur. The two met in the air before hitting the ground and swiping at each other's ears.
"Back off foxdung!"
"I could say the same to you, Shinepaw!"
The two continued battle insults, until Heatherpaw threw off the silver tom. With a powered lunge Heatherpaw bowled over Shinepaw and jabbed him in the stomach. With a desperate attempt Shinepaw swatted the she-cat's cheek. Shinepaw shoved off Heatherpaw. Then he lunged at her, but the she-cat overpowered him and finished the battle by pinning him on his back.
"ENOUGH! The winner is Heatherpaw!"
With a nod Heatherpaw let up her friend, they looked back to Goldenshine who continued talking.
"You both may go hunting, whoever catches the least prey has to line the winner's nest with feathers. You may go."
The two nodded to Goldenshine and ran off.
It had been two moons since the hunting challenge, and Heatherpaw had enjoyed sleeping in her fluffy feathered nest. The two apprentices had gotten even closer, and they were scheduled to test for warrior capability the next day.
"Heatherpaw are you nervous?"
The two apprentices laid on their back looking up at the night sky lined with warriors from StarClan.
"I'm trying not to think about it…"
"Don't worry," The silver tom soothed. "I have no doubt you will pass"
"Thanks Shinepaw," Though the two couldn't hear, inside the apprentice den two other apprentices were talking about Heatherpaw and Shinepaw.
"Do you think she likes him, like more than a friend?"
"Lionpaw why do you care about who Heatherpaw likes?"
"Cornpaw you know I like her!"
"Every tom in the clan likes her, what makes you think she'll choose you over me?"
"Oh my god Cornpaw, Lionpaw please be quiet!"
A ginger she-cat hissed at the two gossiping toms, her sister staring at them as if they were ShadowClan toms and they were invading her territory.
"Ok fine, but next time you could learn to be nicer about it… Ok? Gingerpaw? Are you even listening?"
But the she-cat was already asleep, her sister Graypaw also in a peaceful sleep.
"Night Gingerpaw,"
"Shinepaw! Heatherpaw! Wake up now! Assessment time!"
The two helped each other groom their ruffled fur, and mentally prepare for the assessment.
"Welcome to the final assessment before you become warriors. The first part will be hunting once you catch two squirrels, two mice, two birds, and two voles meet me and Jaystrike in the sandy hollow. Go!"
"Good luck Shinepaw,"
She turned around and dove into the undergrowth luckily finding two mice quickly. Then she opened her mouth and tried to find her next prey. She smiled as the scent of voles hit her mouth. Once she reached the end of the scent trail the she-cat looked up to see a nest containing four fat voles. Heatherpaw silently crept to the nest then killed two voles choosing the fatter ones. The hunting proportion went by quickly and soon Heatherpaw found herself in the sandy hollow waiting with Goldenshine and Jaystrike for Shinepaw.
"Welcome back apprentices, the next part will be pair fighting. BEGIN!"
The two mentors leaped at the apprentices Heatherpaw swiped Jaystrike over his ears. While Goldenshine bowled over Shinepaw.
"Heatherpaw, to me!"
The two went back to back fighting the warriors occasionally switching sides.
"Shinepaw now!"
With Heatherpaw's yowl the two tackled their mentors slamming them onto the sandy floor and pinning them with a paw on the throat and a paw to the chest.
"Enough! The apprentices win."
"Goldenshine, I will explain the last part. So Heatherpaw you will have to find Lionpaw, he is on the move and your trail starts at the sunning rocks. Shinepaw, you will have to find Gingerpaw she is also on the move, your trail starts at the great oak. You have until nightfall BEGIN!"
The two sprinted off once again, when Heatherpaw got to the sunning rocks she quickly picked up her target's scent. It seemed to be headed towards the great oak. After what seemed like an hour his scent was very fresh and at the great oak. Heatherpaw looked up to see the golden apprentice looking down at her.
"Found you Lionpaw!"
"Heatherpaw, Shinepaw step forward," The two obeyed nervously meeting his gaze. "Goldenshine, Jaystrike are they worthy of becoming warriors?"
"They are indeed," The leader continued.
"Then for the rest of their lives they will be known as Heatherstrike and Shinegaze we welcome you two as full warriors of ThunderClan!"
"Heatherstrike! Shinegaze! Heatherstrike! Shinegaze!"
"Nice to meet you Heatherstrike,"
"I could say the same to you Shinegaze,"
"Heatherstrike I need to tell you something, I love you! Will you be my mate?"
"Duh! I love you too! Shinegaze I think you have yourself a mate!"
Many moons later…
"HEY! Steelkit get off of Birdkit!" Heatherstrike scolded her two kits, her mate Shinegaze had just become Shinestar and she couldn't be more proud of it.
"Birdgaze! Steelflight! Birdgaze! Steelflight!"
"Thank you Heatherstar, you have been the best mentor I could wish for."
"Birdgaze your father would be so proud of you!"
That night…
You are doomed, the most loyal will betray you
Swiftness hasn't been created, Bird and Steel won't save
Heather and Shine cannot connect
Thunder is gone
Heatherstar woke with a start, fear coursing through her veins. What is going on? She rushed outside her den to see her mate Shinestar.
"Heatherstar my love we should never have become mates. ThunderClan is doomed because of it… I have to go good bye my love."
Heatherstar's Point. Of. View (POV)
I woke to see sunlight shining into my den. Camp looked busy as ever, who would betray me? My best choice was to go talk to Jayfang about it.
"Jayfang! I got a visit from Shinestar…"
After I finished describing what happened I turned back to Jayfang, he looked confused and scared.
"Then there is no hope, you heard what Shinestar said we are doomed. But the question is who is most loyal to us? And when will they betray us."
I heard a yowl from camp.
"THIS IS THE END OF THUNDERCLAN!"
"No!"
Heatherstrike watched intently with Corntail at her side.
"Heatherstrike this is why you couldn't have chosen Shinestar. Please accept this as your proof."
"Very well, I just have to accept that Shinestar as the one that got away."
