Sonic was whistling as he was walking around at the speed of sound, being at Route 99 as he noticed all the cars, buses, and trucks zipping by on the roads surrounding the many construction sites.
"Heh! Didn't realize that this place got much traffic!" Sonic stated as he wrapped his arms around the back of his head, whistling. "Wonder what kind of thing would I anticipate today."
He was then accidentally knocked off the beam by Cream The Rabbit, who was speeding by with her Chao Cheese doing a speed run on the route, with Sonic bumping into various beams, injuring his body all the while as he groaned in pain, heading downward onto the street level, to get run over by the many vehicles unwilling to wait any longer in traffic.
"Sorry, Mr. Sonic!" Cream exclaimed as she knocked out the many badniks planted around the course, heading towards the end and getting a gold medal as she twirled around with Cheese.
Sonic was relaxing at the Speed Highway as he was resting on a red construction beam high above the mostly blue tinted metropolis, turning his head to the right to see a giant green and blue colored Nintendo 64 logo, which stared right back at him.
"Get in or get out," The N64 logo responded as he suddenly pushed Sonic off the beam, watching the hedgehog fall flat on the highway and get run over by several speeding vehicles.
Shadow, Rouge, and Omega were having dinner together as they all watched Sonic fall past them, Team Dark giving each other glances as they blinked.
"What was that?" Rouge asked as she twirled her spaghetti.
Shadow scoffed, shaking his head as he was cutting his prime rib steak. "It's probably Sonic being an idiot again."
"What is it with anthropomorphic mammals and doing stupid objectives?" Omega butted in as he zipped his can of oil, his plate full of coal as the three kept to themselves.
