Spatterson- I don't really understand what you mean, can you clarify?

That night Zuko was acting strange, it wasn't like when he would sneak out as the blue spirit but it was similar. He was so anxious.

"Ok what's going on?" you asked.

"Nothing, I'm just tired, why don't we go to bed" Zuko replied quickly.

You gave him a look, but decided to humor him. The two of you crawled into bed, almost instantly Zuko wrapped his arms around you and pulled you close. You supported yourself on your right arm and leaned over Zuko. You were about to say something when Zuko pulled you down and kissed you passionately. During the kiss you completely forgot what you were going to say. The two of you laid together until it seemed like Zuko fell asleep.

'Well this seems familiar' you thought as you remembered Ba-Sing-Se. You decided to play along, and pretended to be a sleep.

A few minutes later, Zuko sat up and carefully slipped away from you and out of bed. Once he closed the door, you followed him. He silently traversed the hallways until he got to Appa, then he climbed onto the sleepy bison. You waited in the shadows; you wanted to see what was going on before you jump to conclusions.

Shortly after you heard footsteps approaching, you turned to see Sokka. He almost stepped on Momo but narrowly avoided it. Then he climbed on to Appa, waking the sleeping sky bison.

"Shhh" Sokka said trying to keep Appa from making noise. Then Sokka looked up to see Zuko.

"Not up to anything, huh?" Zuko questioned with his arms crossed. This must have something to do with Sokka talking to Zuko earlier.

Sokka sighed. "Look, I have to do this. The invasion plan was my idea, it was my decision to stay when things were going wrong." Sokka said as Zuko jumped off of Appa. "It's my mistake, and it's my job to fix it. I have to regain my honor. You can't stop me, Zuko" Sokka was clever to use 'regain my honor' that's definitely something Zuko could understand.

"You have to regain your honor. Believe me I get, I'm going with you" Zuko said.

'That jerk!' you thought.

"No I have to do it alone" Sokka said stubbornly.

"How are you going to get there? On Appa" Zuko paused; you had to admit he kind of sounded like Iroh. "The last time I checked, prisons don't have bison daycare. Come we'll take my war balloon"

That was your cue, thankfully you were much closer to the war balloon than they are. When they turned the corner they found you leaning against the war balloon's basket with your arms crossed.

"Kana? What are you doing here?" Zuko asked completely confused.

"I could ask you the same thing" you replied.

Zuko looked scared, "I know what your thinking, that this is like when I used to be the blue spirit but I promise its not" he rambled.

"I know" you said as you stood up and walked towards him.

"I'm not like that anymore, this is different because… wait you know?" he asked.

You nodded, "I'm going with you"

"No way" Zuko and Sokka said at the same time. They looked at each other.

"I don't even want to bring Zuko, this isn't a party" Sokka said in annoyance.

"Its too dangerous" Zuko said.

"I know, but you'll need my help" you said, they looked at you in confusion. "I was imprisoned there, I know the entire prison and the guard shifts." You explained.

"Kana can I talk to you" Zuko asked.

"Only if you tell me when you're going to do something stupid," you replied referring to him sneaking out to go to the boiling rock.

Zuko sighed; "I deserved that" he mumbled then said. "Kana I'm not going to let you go back there"

"You realize when you tell me no, it makes me do it anyway" you reminded him.

"I see I'm clearly interrupting something" Sokka said as he slowly backed away, "I'll be over here" he said nervously.

Once Sokka was safely away from the two upset firebenders Zuko continued. "Kana this is serious!" then he looked away, "I let you go there once, I'm not letting you again" Zuko frowned and looked at you with pleading eyes.

Your features softened into a timid smile. "Zuko" you said softly as you hugged him, "I need to go with you"

Zuko wrapped his arms around you, "I can't let you go back there"

"I know the entire prison, I can help just let me know your plans"

Zuko pulled away and looked at Sokka. Sokka looked just as confused as Zuko did.

You sighed, "You do have a plan don't you?" you questioned already knowing the answer.

Zuko stayed silent as he blushed in embarrassment.

"Ok I'm going, you can't argue anymore," you decided.

(Zuko's POV)

You woke up early the next morning to find that Sokka was already awake. You carefully slipped out of Kana's arms and stood up to check on the fire for the war balloon. You shot a small fire blast into the tank to keep it moving.

"Pretty clouds" Sokka said awkwardly.

"Yeah…Fluffy" you added equally awkward. You heard Sokka make a sound so you said "What?"

"What? Oh I didn't say anything. You know a friend of mine actually designed these things" Sokka said, as if he needed to talk to make this less awkward. You really wished Kana would wake up.

"No kidding"

"Yep a balloon… but for war"

"If theirs one thing my father is good at, it's war"

"Yeah it seems to run in the family," Sokka said without thinking.

"Hey, hold on. Not everyone I my family is like that" you defended.

"I know, I know, you've changed"

You sighed, "No, I meant my Uncle. He was more of a father to me, and I really let him down"

"I think your uncle would be proud of you" Sokka said. "Leaving your home to come help us. That's hard"

"It wasn't that hard" you smiled slightly as you looked down at Kana's sleeping form. She seemed to glow in the early morning light.

"You really love her" Sokka commented, pulling your attention away from Kana.

You looked at him and nodded. "I'd do anything for her, it was harder to go home, I had to leave her, I couldn't ask her to come with me" after a moment you added, "I'm never letting Kana go again"

"My first girlfriend turned into the moon," Sokka said sadly.

You were, needless to say, pretty shocked. "That's rough buddy," you said awkwardly.

(Daisuke's POV)

"Hey what's this?" Katara questioned as she pulled a piece of paper away from Momo.

"What does it say?" Toph asked as you walked over.

"Need meat. Gone fishing. Back in a few days. Sokka, Zuko and Kana." Katara read. "One more thing. Aang, practice your firebending while I'm gone. Do twenty sets of fire fists and ten hot squats every time you hear a badgerfrog croak. Zuko. And remember to mediate. Also tell Jet to tell the freedom fighters a story and to tuck them in before bed. Kana"

"Since when do they like stories? And need to be tucked in?" Jet asked.

"Since we're kids and like stories, stupid" Smellerbee replied. Longshot chuckled beside her and The duke nodded in agreement

Suddenly a badgerfrog croaked. Aang stood up and mumbled, "No body else has homework" as he started to do hot squats.

Some how you thought that theirs no way they would be on a fishing trip. Kana hates fishing.
