Sonic's eyes were widened as he took in a deep breath, shaking his head as he was waiting on the red and white striped tram in San Fransisco for quite some time, being forced to stay on it as a dare by Shadow, who was also with him. The blue hedgehog clenched his fists as he slowly turned his head to Sonic, gritting his teeth.

"Shadow, I need to run. Now." Sonic responded as he began banging his knees together.

Shadow rolled his eyes as he wagged his right index finger at Sonic, taunting him. "I knew it. You're too much of a chicken to see through my dare. Such a wimp."

"I am not!" Sonic barked as he grabbed Shadow and chucked him right out of the tram, zipping out and going all around San Fransisco, returning to the tram as he placed his hands on his knees, panting as he smiled. "Ahhh... so much better..."

However, the tram violently stopped as Sonic began tumbling backwats, rolling down the hill as he screamed, bumping into a speeding yellow taxi cab that sent him blasting off again.

"Whoops! Sorry, blue bro!" B.D. Joe exclaimed as he rubbed the back of his head sheepishly, not meaning to knock Sonic away with such a tremendous force.

Sonic was desperately trying to get out of the water, but every time he reached the surface, the current pulled him under again. Sonic was at the tropical Adabat stage as he was crying to collect undersea shells for Amy and Rouge, Amy so that she'll leave him alone for the night, and Rouge so that he could get chilli dogs in return. Obviously it wasn't paying off as Sonic kept getting attacked by the undersea life, mostly sharks who couldn't resist the taste of hedgehog blood.

"Water... blech, do I hate water!" Sonic thought to himself as he dashed away from the hungry sharks, feeling bite marks all over his nimble body.

Meanwhile on the surface, Amy and Rouge were both sitting on the edge of the wooden plank, looking out westward to the ocean as they noticed the beautiful sunset, both of them sighing.

"I wish Sonic got here soon." Amy stated as she held her hands together down on her red dress. "He sure is taking his time."

"Yeah. Those undersea jewels aren't going to gather themselves." Rouge added as she stretched her arms, blinking as she fluttered her bat wings.
