Sorry i haven't been updating, I've been working a crazy amount of hours between my job and my internship and now my parents want me to find a second job, plus its tech week at the internship so i've been crazy busy. Also I'm just curious did people not like the last chapter?

Spatterson- Ok as soon as i have time I'll type it up, but i warn you i may not have time for a while, i'm legitimately updating this story and going to sleep

You and Zuko walked up to a guard that was clearly Sokka. He was leaning up against the railing overlooking the yard.

"Hey fellow guard" Zuko said awkwardly.

"Zuko? Kana?" Sokka said as he lifted his visor.

"Shh, listen, we asked around the lounge. There are no water tribe prisoners here" Zuko said, "I'm sorry but your father isn't here"

"Are you sure did you double check?" Sokka asked frantically.

Zuko nodded as you said, "I'm really sorry Sokka"

"No, No" he repeated as he hit the wall in frustration, it was really upsetting. "So we came here for nothing? I failed again" he sighed as he leaned on the railing again.

"Ah, what would Uncle say?" he paused, "Sometimes, clouds have two sides, a dark and light, and a silver lining in between. It's like a silver sandwich! So ... when life seems hard ... take a bite out of the silver sandwich!" Zuko said, Sokka just looked at him like he's crazy.

You sighed, "Sometimes you're hopeless, at least you're cute" you said to Zuko, "we did find out some info you might be interested in" Sokka looked at you curiously. "The guards said that theirs a Kyoshi warrior here"

Suddenly Sokka's eyes widened, "Maybe I haven't failed after all" he gestured to a prisoner. "Look"

"Its Suki" you said with a smile.

"How do you know Suki?" Sokka asked.

"I met her when Zuko was destroying Kyoshi Island, she told me that Daisuke had been there." You explained.

Later that day the three of you went to find Suki's cell. Sokka went inside the cell while you and Zuko stood guard outside of the cell. A few moments later you heard a thump and harsh whispers.

"That doesn't sound like a happy reunion" you commented.

"If she's anything like you, it might be" Zuko joked.

"You're a jerk," you giggled as you playfully elbowed him.

"And you love me so I must be doing something right" Zuko replied.

You were about to speak when you heard footsteps. Instantly you and Zuko stopped joking and pretended to guard the cell. A few moments later a female guard came around the corner.

"Excuse me" she said, "I need to get into that cell"

"No you can't go in there!" Zuko said quickly as he looked at the door, "the lights are out, the prisoner could strike you"

"Step aside fool" She said as she tried to push past the two of you. Before she could take a step you grabbed her shoulder and threw her into the wall. Zuko stood in shock. "Hey, hey! What are you doing?"

The guard pushed off the wall and forced you to release her, before Zuko could react you pushed him out of the way as the guard narrowly missed your face but managed to knock off your helmet.

"You! Guards!" she yelled, again Zuko tried to aid you, but you pushed him out of the way as you jumped up and grabbed the guard's arm and bent it behind her back forcing her to look away from Suki's cell. Zuko helped Sokka get out of the cell. "Guards! It's the Rouge Firebender!" The guard screamed.

Sokka grabbed Zuko and dragged him in the opposite direction; you continued to fight the guard as cover. If you knocked her out you would have time before anyone found out that you're here. Just as Sokka was about to drag Zuko around the corner the guard turned and saw them. "Guards help! It's the rouge firebender, arrest her!" She yelled. Sokka and Zuko stood still you knew they were arguing. "Get her off me! Arrest her!" the guard yelled.

Sokka pushed past Zuko and threw you to the ground as gently as possible "You're under arrest" he yelled rather convincingly. Zuko ran over as Sokka whispered. "Don't worry I'll figure it out" then turned to Zuko, "You better play along" he hissed. You could tell Zuko did not like this one bit. Sokka grabbed one of your arms while Zuko grabbed the other. The female guard followed closely behind you.

"The warden will want to know about this right now" She said.

The female guard, Sokka and Zuko walked you to the warden's office. You struggled against their grip.

"What are you doing?" Zuko whispered, his voice just loud enough for you to hear. He sounded so upset.

"I have to make it look convincing" you whispered. Zuko didn't like that answer but he stayed silent.

When you approached the warden's office the female guard knocked on the door.

"What do you want!" The warden yelled from inside.

"Sir I have captured the Rouge Firebender" the female guard said.

"I beat you up," you mumbled as you heard a thump and the office doors opened.

Upon seeing you the Warden smiled a sickening smile, he walked up to you and placed his hand under your chin, forcing you to look up at him. Zuko's grip on you tightened, you could tell he was having issues controlling his temper.

"Well, well, if it isn't my favorite prisoner" The warden said, when you stayed quiet he continued, "Didn't you miss me Kana" he paused, "Oh do you still think the banished prince will rescue you" he laughed. You felt Zuko shift about to attack to the warden, but Sokka kicked him as the warden turned and walked back into his office. "Have a seat" he said.

Zuko and Sokka walked you into the office and over to the chair, as the Warden sat down in his own chair. Sokka let go, Zuko held on for a moment before he reluctantly let go. You sat in the chair; you couldn't help but remember all of the times you sat in this chair, speaking only to sass the Warden as he threatened you. Zuko and Sokka closed the doors and stood in front of them.

"You know you ruined my reputation," The Warden said darkly. You stared blankly at him. "but I'm feeling generous. I'm willing to forget that, if you tell me where to find the avatar." Again you stayed silent. The Warden was starting to lose his temper. He slammed his hands on the desk as he stood up. "You will not defy me this time!" he yelled. You were unfazed; it's a scare tactic.

"You know telling me what to do only makes me want to do the opposite" you said with a sly smile.

"I'll teach you respect" The Warden said. Then he turned to Sokka and Zuko, "Wait outside" he said. They hesitated a moment before walking out. The Warden turned back to you with a sickening smile.

(Zuko's POV)

The second you walked out of the Warden's office and closed the door you grabbed Sokka's shoulder and threw him against the wall.

"Zuko calm down" Sokka said as he put his arms up defensively, "we'll figure it out"

"My girlfriend is in there with that creep, and my father wants her dead, do you really think this is going to end well," you hissed. You knew you were losing your temper but you didn't care. It killed you to have leave Kana in that room.

Sokka looked down, "I know, but we'll figure it out" Sokka said. You tried to relax, because taking your anger out on Sokka isn't the right thing to do. "We'll free Kana, I promise" he added.

Suddenly you heard the Warden yelp in pain followed by a soft whimper, you knew it was Kana. Sokka held you back from running into the room, you wanted to punch him but you knew he was right.

"Guards!" the Warden yelled. You and Sokka ran in to see that the Warden had three long scratch marks on his face and Kana was in front of him in a defensive stance. "Take her to her cell" he ordered. "And get her the prison uniform" he added.

Kana stopped struggling when she felt you and Sokka grab her arms. As you left the room you looked at Kana's face. Thankfully you were wearing a helmet because you gasped in shock when you saw the bruise forming on her cheek.
