Oh no! Another Cliched Love Story!

How It Ends

I can't finish this story.

I started planning this story 6 years ago and I had so many ideas in mind but it didn't work out. BUT I do want you to get an idea of how it would end. I don't want to be one of those authors that leave the story and never come back.

So let's see…

In the last chapter Cassie had her heart-broken by Artemis because of a misunderstanding, right? Artemis felt really guilty about it and he wanted to fix things because at the end of the day, he did see Cassie as the first friend he had who was his age.

Cassie still gave him the silent, cold treatment and avoided him but they made a deal to get Maity's popularity back. So Artemis and Cassie had to work together. Their plan was to make Maity date all the popular girls in school.

Artemis sometimes got really irritated by how much Cassie cared about Maity and he started realising it was jealousy:

"Why do you give a damn about him anyway?" If Artemis heard Maity's name from Cassie's mouth one more time..

"Because he was nice to me when no one was." Cassie said. "I'm the nobody of St. Bartleby's. I got in because my dad was old friends with one of the founding family members of the school. I mean, we're not poor. My family owns the a bakery chain, but you know we're nowhere St. Bartelby's standards. But then there was Maity.."

Hell, Artemis would kiss Cassie if that's what it took to stop making her say his name.

"I am weird and he was nice to me anyway. He treated me like he treated all the girls here and it felt nice be treated equally. I shouldn't have, you know, take his pictures and embarrass him. He's kind of my prince charming. "

Artemis realised his knuckles were turning white. "That's ironic, considering how I'm the one who has to keep saving your ass."

"Look," Cassie sounded resigned. "I know you can't stand being near someone as inferior as me. So I promise that once Maity gets all his popularity back, we're strangers."

Artemis grabbed her wrist and she looked at him. "I think of you as an equal. I might be the smartest genius of the 21st Century and a rich billionaire-"

"Stop bragging," Cassie rolled her eyes and tried to pull away.

"But I'm not loyal and I'm not brave and I can't make people laugh and I can't admit mistakes and I can't forgive. I do need you as my best friend, Cassie." Artemis had never felt more vulnerable.

Cassie brought her face closer to him but all she did was bump their noses. She smiled. "I missed you, Artemis."

And they become best friends again. They have a lot of misadventures for the next few years such as crazy youtube videos and Artemis jeopardizing a play because some guy was going to kiss Cassie. (I literally had a billion things planned.)

There becomes an unsaid rule in St. Bartleby's that Cassie Mess is Artemis Fowl's girl. Everyone knows it. Everyone except Cassie.

Artemis continues his adventures with the Holly and co but Cassie is mostly unaware.

It isn't until Billy Kong accidentally kidnaps Minerva AND Cassie that Cassie learns about the other "fairy" world.

It's also the first time when Holly and co have seen Artemis homicidal.

"I don't think Kong is going to hurt this girl. Calm down," Holly tried to assure him.

"Her name is Cassie, not 'this girl' and if there is so much a hair misplaced I will.." Artemis didn't finish his dark thoughts. Artemis wouldn't think twice about replacing No1 with Cassie or murdering Kong.

She must be so scared and confused. He shouldn't have kept it all a secret from her.

Artemis exhaled sharply. He was going to put in his A game to ensure that Cassie was safe.

Meanwhile, while kidnapped, Cassie is feeling inferior next to Minerva. She's awfully quiet and sad and keeps thinking how perfect Minerva is for Artemis. Cassie's certain that Artemis will come to rescue Minerva so she isn't too worried about the kidnapping. Artemis always wins.

Cassie thought bitterly about how Minerva was smart, beautiful and understood Artemis' stupid humor. She felt so inferior next to Minerva. The girl was composed and proud, talking casually with the kidnappers while Cassie was paralysed with fear. If Cassie ever thought that she had a chance with Artemis, that delusion was certainly gone now.

Minerva was Artemis' dream girl. Practically made for him. And Cassie was a nobody.

A nobody who was madly in love with the one boy she could never have.

During the hostage exchange, Artemis is extremely tense because he knows one wrong move can hurt Cassie.

Artemis looked at Cassie and he felt like he was finally breathing. His eyes were trained on Cassie as the two girls walked towards him. He frowned when she was looking anywhere but him. He needed to see her eyes, hold her and kiss-

Maybe she was angry at him for keeping her in the dark. He really needed to hold her, know that she was ok-

Cassie walked past him and ran away, into the crowds. Artemis was paralysed for a few seconds and Kong snickered at how 'Artemis' girl ran away from him'. What the hell was going on in her mind?

So, the whole Lost Colony thing takes place except there is NO TIME SKIP.

Once he gets back, he starts looking for Cassie, extremely worried but he finds her with some St. Bartleby's delinquent student near a food stall.

Tae Huang noticed Artemis before Cassie did and he smirked. He wanted to rile up and there was no better way to do that than make a move on his girl.

"So you think Artemis cares about this Minerva chick?" Tae smirked at Cassie and slowly got nearer to her face.

"Well, she's perfect-"

"You have no idea, do you?" Tae lightly pressed his lips against Cassie's and hoped Artemis would not kill him for doing it. He was immediately yanked off Cassie and Tae felt true fear for a few good seconds.

"Never think of touching her," Artemis' voice was low and nothing short of a death threat.

"What are you doing here?" Cassie asked, trying to pull away from Artemis, who had a death grip on her.

"Taking you home." Artemis drags Cassie away.

They don't talk about it. Foaly and co are mentally groaning at both of their obliviousness. However, Artemis is slowly realizing his deep, hidden feelings for Cassie and they make him very uncomfortable. He starts acting more possessive and protective of Cassie.

When Orion appears in the Atlantis Complex and this happens when Artemis and Cassie are around 18 and about to graduate from school, Orion becomes very loving and sexual with Cassie. By now, Cassie knows everything about the Fairy World.

Artemis (or was it Orion?) made Cassie sit on his lap with his strong arms wrapped around him (since when did two left-feet have strong arms?). Artemis smirked at Cassie's red face.

"What are you doing?" Cassie tried her best not to make her voice tremble.

"What I've wanted to do for years, love" Orion said, giving Cassie a heated look. He ran his hand over her thighs while he unbuttoned her school t-shirt with the other one.

So basically Artemis just nearly strips Cassie and they both get aroused until someone interrupts them. Orion is usually doing all the work and Cassie just never stops him but she's clearly frustrated by the fact that someone ALWAYS interrupts them.

The incidents in Book 8 don't happen.

Time skip and school is about to end in 3 months. Cassie is convinced that Artemis has feelings for Minerva and it breaks her heart and she avoids him. Meanwhile, Artemis is worried that Cassie found someone else. However, everything changes when Artemis overhears Maity Pennypocket's bet with his friends.

"Cassie's a cute chick and I heard she's one of the only virgins in our year. Probably because that Fowl guards like a possessive wolf," one of Maity's friends said. They were drunk and talking in the living room of Artemis and Maity's shared dorm room. Artemis had gone out to take a snack and he stiffened.

"I bet that I can get into her pants. She's always had a thing for me. Kind of like a cute puppy-" Maity slurred and laughed.

Artemis grabbed him by the collar and gave him the iciest Fowl glare. "You even look at her again and I'll make sure Pennypocket sportswear will never exist."

"Whoa, chill, man!" Maity tried to stand upright.

"Cassie's mine. You try to hurt her, you are as good as dead," Artemis warned. Fowls weren't above murder. Especially if some fucking moron decided to touch their woman.

It takes a few more misunderstandings and jealousy before Artemis ends up having sex with Cassie. Artemis thinks that they're dating but Cassie thinks that Artemis is using her to de-stress from all the criminal activities. She is madly in love with him so she can't stop him from touching her. She craves him, even though it hurts her that they're just sleeping around.

But then…

"We need to stop," Cassie stopped Artemis from taking off her bra. The dark look he had whenever she was nearly naked always sent pleasures down her spine.

Artemis gave her a gentle smile. "It's ok. We can do it some other time-"

"No, I mean," Cassie hesitated. "Stop sleeping around. This guy in a cafe asked me out and I want to give it a sincere shot. This whole sex thing won't be fair to him-"

Artemis smile dropped and, for the first time in years, his icy glare was directed at her. "Someone asked you out? Didn't you tell him you're already spoken for?"

"What?" Cassie gave him a confused look. "Am I supposed to say 'so I have this friend with benefits and I hope you're ok with that'?"

"Friend with benefits?" Even the sight of Cassie in her bra and underwear could not stop his blood boiling. "You're mine. We've been dating for months-"

"What do you mean? All we do is have sex or hangout like friends. We have never went on a date and you never asked me out-" Cassie stopped. "Listen, this was fun and… I know I'm nowhere near your social status or intelligence and it's good that someone useless like me got to be with you, even in a temporary way-"

Artemis put her back on the bed and leaned over her with his hands on both sides of the bed.

"Fine. Let me make it very clear to you. You are mine. I love you. Will you go out with me?" Artemis voice was dripping with hunger.

"What-"

"Yes or no?"

Cassie blushed and it made him growl with satisfaction. She nodded.

Before she could react, his lips were on hers and she became the willing victim to a very possessive kiss.

Cassie and Artemis have kids and a happily ever after. Cassie inherits part of her parents' bakery chain and Artemis continues to expand his criminal and legal activities, regaining status as a billionaire.
