Thanks for reading! I'm going to put up the next chapter up tonight too. I'm thinking about writing either a Jack Frost (Rise of the Guardians), Gaara (Naruto) or Cloud Strife (FFVII) story next, thoughts anyone?
Everyone is sitting outside the theatre waiting for Act two. You sat next to Zuko and rested your head on his shoulder.
"So far, this intermission is the best part of the play. " Zuko said.
"It is pretty bad," You agreed.
"Apparently, the playwright thinks I'm an idiot" Sokka said as he said down and grabbed a bag of food, "who tells bad jokes about meat all the time."
"Yeah, you tell bad jokes about plenty of other topics."
"I know!" Sokka agree bitterly.
"At least this Sokka actor kinda looks like you. That woman playing the Avatar doesn't resemble me at all." Aang groaned.
"I don't know, you are more in touch with your feminine side than most guys." Toph chimed in. Aang stormed off angrily followed by Katara.
"At least you guys are you, they made me into Kaito" Daisuke said clearly offended.
"What's so bad about me?" Kaito asked.
"Nothing, but I'm better looking" Daisuke replied. Kaito pulled the tiny earth bender into a headlock as the two began to wrestle.
"I don't like how the Kana actress looks but she does act like me" you admitted.
"They did go overboard with her costume" Smellerbee agreed, Longshot nodded in agreement.
"They made me into such a jerk" Jet complained.
"Ah Jet… you are a jerk" you giggled.
"Not that type of jerk!" Jet replied in a panic.
"Listen, friends." Toph said, "It's obvious that the playwright did his research. I know it must hurt but what you're seeing up there on that stage is the truth."
You didn't want to admit it but you know she's right. Soon everyone returned to their seats for act two.
The light dimmed and Actor Katara, Aang and Sokka entered.
"Well, here we are in the Earth Kingdom." Actress Katara stated overdramatically.
"I better" Actress Aang said as she opened her glider prop "have a look around to see if I can find an earthbending teacher. " then a rope lifted her off the ground to simulate flying.
"This is it! This must be where I come in." Toph was barely able to contain her excitement.
Actress Aang flew over the audience before flying over the stage "I flew all over town but I couldn't find a single earthbending master. "
"Here it comes." Toph whispered in anticipation.
A huge man wearing Toph's clothes lifted a rock prop "You can't find an earthbending master in the sky, you have to look underground."
You and Zuko looked at each other, then back at the stage. The man playing Toph was easily six feet tall, extremely hairy and had a deep voice. Actor Toph threw the rock prop over his head and off stage. You silently waited for Toph's reaction in shock.
"Who are you?" Actress Aang asked
"My name is Toph because it sounds like tough." He said as he began to flex, "And that's just what I am."
"Wait a minute, I sound like... a guy." Toph said in shock, she paused for a moment before saying "A really buff guy." She smiled apparently happy with their casting decisions. You smiled, at least she's happy.
"Well Toph, what you hear up there is the truth. It hurts, doesn't it?" Katara whispered in a smug tone.
Toph just grinned, "Are you kidding me? I wouldn't have cast it any other way. At least it's not a flying bald lady."
You couldn't help but notice that Aang was glaring at Toph for that comment, he must be so upset by his casting.
"So, you're blind?" Actress Aang asked as she waved her hand in front of Actor Toph's face.
"I can see you doing that. I see everything that you see except that I don't see like you do. I release a sonic wave from my mouth. " Actor Toph replied before letting out a horrible screeching sound. Everyone in the audience cringed at the sound, except Toph she was ridiculously happy "There. I got a pretty good look at you." Actor Toph continued.
As the audience laughed the scene changed.
"Zuko, its time we had a talk." Actor Iroh said, he paused dramatically then continued "About your hair. It's gone too far!"
"It has gotten about out of control" Actress Kana chimed in, you noticed that he hair was not in a short pixie cut but still the wrong shade.
You finally noticed Actor Zuko, his hair looked completely ridiculous, it was really long and feminine, "Hey what about your hair!" he snapped.
"I look cute" Actress Kana replied.
Actor Zuko turned back to Actor Iroh and said "Maybe it's best if we... split up." he said as he pulled Actress Kana to him.
The Actor Zuko and Kana walked away from Actor Iroh, Zuko sunk into his seat feeling guilty, you squeezed his hand in an attempt to comfort him. The scene changed to the small town where you ran into Azula.
"Azula! My sister. What are you doing here?" Actor Zuko said dramatically.
You laughed when you saw Actress Azula, her armor was the wrong color and she wore way too much make up "You caught me. Wait. What's that?" Actress Azula pointed to the ceiling then said, "I think it's your honor."
Everyone except Actress Kana looked as Actor Zuko said "Where?" While they were distracted Actress Azula escaped.
"She escaped. But how?" Actress Katara questioned.
Actress Kana slapped her forehead and grabbed Actor Zuko by the collar of his shirt, "I can't believe you fell for that," she mumbled as she pulled him off stage. You couldn't help but laugh Zuko however was not amused.
The scene changed to Actress Azula standing on the drill outside Ba-Sing-Se.
"If she continues drilling this wall will come down for sure. " Actress Aang stated.
A stagehand clumsily gave Actress Aang a rock prop to throw at Actress Azula.
Actress Azula easily dodged the prop and said "Haha, yes! Continue drilling. The city of Ba Sing Se can't hide no longer." Unsurprisingly Actress Aang quickly defeated her.
The scene changed to underneath Lake Lougai, everything had a ghostly green glow. Actor Jet entered his hair was completely out of control and a flower still in his mouth. He twirled around the stage suggesting that he is crazy. The real Jet sunk into his seat clearly embarrassed.
Kaito elbowed Jet, "They casted you perfectly" he laughed. Jet just closed his eyes and waited for the scene to be over.
From offstage Actress Aang said "No, Jet!" Then she appeared on stage and said, "What did they do to you?"
"Must. Serve. Earth King! Must... Destroy!" Actor Jet said as he sung his hook swords.
Then a stagehand dropped a prop rock, it slowly floated the ground until it landed on Actor Jet.
"Did Jet just... die?" Zuko asked in disbelief.
"I'm dead?" Jet questioned completely confused.
"You know, it was really unclear." Sokka said.
"How can I be dead?" Jet asked as the scene changed to the crystal catacombs.
"In this play, being dead might be a good thing" you whispered.
"I have to admit, Prince Zuko. I really find you attractive." Actress Katara said seductively.
Actor Zuko glared at her before helping Actress Kana up.
"You realize I'm dating him right?" Actress Kana said.
"No ones talking to you" Actress Katara snapped then turned back to Actor Zuko, "I mean it, theirs just something about you"
"Ew" Actor Zuko said then turned to Actress Kana, "we need to get out of here"
Actress Katara continued to try to flirt with Actor Zuko while Actress Kana kept trying to kill her. Actor Zuko had to hold Actress Kana back.
"I thought you and the Avatar had a thing," Actress Kana yelled as Actor Zuko lifted her over his shoulder so she wouldn't attack Actress Katara.
"The Avatar?" Actress Katara laughed, "Why, he's like a little brother to me. I certainly don't think of him in a romantic way."
Suddenly Aang stood up, he looked so upset.
"Oh, you're getting up? Can you get me some fire flakes?" Sokka asked as he rested his arm on Suki's shoulder. "Oh and fire gummies."
"Baby Sister!" Actor Daisuke bellowed, the real Daisuke was still pissed about his casting.
"Together in Ba-Sing-Se" Actor Kaito added as the three embraced.
"How's Prince-pain-in-the-ass" Actor Daisuke asked.
"Still a pain, but he's my pain" Actress Kana replied as she smiled at Actor Zuko. The real Zuko looked at you and smiled, you smiled back, as the real Daisuke and Kaito made exaggerated kissing noises at you.
The scene quickly changed to Actor Zuko and Actress Azula standing next to each other as Actress Kana and Actor Daisuke and Kaito were escaping.
"Well, my brother. What's it going to be; your nation or a life of treachery with your whore? " Actress Azula stated. The real Zuko sunk into his seat and covered his face with his hands.
"Choose treachery, it's more fun." Actor Iroh stated smiling. Actress Kana stood on top of a ledge with her arms crossed glaring at Actor Zuko. Actor Iroh did a thumbs up as Actor Zuko walked over to him.
"No way! " Actress Azula screamed.
Suddenly Actor Zuko pushed Actor Iroh, who fell to the ground defeated, then Actor Zuko walked back to Actress Azula. As he said "I hate you, Uncle. You smell and I hate you for all time." He and Actress Azula walked off stage as the Earth Kingdom banner onto Actor Iroh. You covered your mouth in shock, as Zuko rubbed his face clearly ashamed. Several gasps were heard.
"You didn't really say that, did you?" Katara whispered in shock.
"I might as well have." Zuko frowned.
The scene quickly changed to Actress Aang and Azula fighting. The fight was fairly accurate. Actress Aang went into the avatar state just as Actress Azula shot lighting at her.
"The Avatar is no more!" Actress Azula yelled.
You glanced at Zuko as the scene changed again. He was so upset and clearly did not want to be reminded of this day. Unable to figure out the right words to comfort him you grabbed his hand and gently squeezed it as you rested your head on his shoulder.
Actress Kana was running with Actor Daisuke and Kaito when suddenly Dai Li agents ambushed them.
"We got the earthbender"
"And the waterbender"
"I got the prince's whore"
"I am not a whore," you mumbled bitterly.
"I am not a whore!" Actress Kana yelled. "Seriously though why does everyone say that, it's completely uncalled for."
"Take her to the Boiling Rock!"
"Baby sister!" Actor Daisuke yelled.
"Kana!" Actor Kaito yelled, as the three were dragged off stage.
