The next morning you and Zuko were cuddled close sleeping on Appa's side, you knew to your left was Daisuke and to your right Katara, while Sokka, whose snoring kept you up half of the night, was curled up with Suki on Appa's tail and Toph was in an earth tent nearby.

You felt the air around you suddenly heat up, and the ground shook as you jolted awake accidently elbowing Zuko in the stomach who if he wasn't already awake he would be now. You looked around in panic searching for the source, but you only found a ring of fire around your group.

"Well look who's here" An Earth kingdom man who was easily one hundred and ten said as he raised his arms.

An old water tribe guy and two old fire nation guys joined him. You looked at all of the old people in confusion; everyone seemed to know at least one of them except you.

"What's going on? We're surrounded by old people," Toph stated throwing her arms up in disbelief. At least you aren't the only one confused.

"Anyone want to fill us in? you asked looking around in confusion, toph nodded in agreement.

"Not just any old people. These are great masters and friends of ours" She explained, then turned to the water tribe guy, "Pakku" She said happily.

Katara, Sokka and Pakku had a moment which ended with Pakku revealing that he is married to their grandmother and Sokka trying to find a good grandfather nickname to call him, to which Pakku declined.

Then Katara pointed to the white haired fire nation guy. "And this was Aang's first firebending teacher" Then you realized who this man is.

As you and Zuko walked over to him, you did the traditional fire nation greeting as you said "Jeong Jeong".

Jeong Jeong smiled and nodded as he returned the greeting. "And you must be Kana"

"You two know each other?" Zuko asked in confusion.

You shook your head, then turned to Jeong Jeong, "Back home, some of the firebenders who deserted the fire nation army would talk about you and how you inspired them to leave in the search of peace"

Jeong Jeong nodded thoughtfully, "And you're the rouge whose been causing the fire lord so much trouble," you couldn't help but blush.

Daisuke was talking to the earth kingdom man who you later found out is Bumi the leader of Omashu. While Sokka spoke to the other fire nation guy, Piandao, a sword master.

"So wait, how do you all know each other?" Suki asked curiously.

The four old masters looked at each other before Bumi spoke. "All old people know each other, don't you know that." You were starting to think that maybe Bumi isn't all there, he's a bit on the crazy side.

"We're all part of the same ancient secret society. A group that transcends the division of the four nations." Piandao chimed in.

Before anyone could speak you and Zuko instantly turned to each other and said "The order of the white lotus" at the same time

Bumi was surprised that you knew but soon regained his composure and "That's the one"

Then Jeong Jeong stepped forward, "The white lotus has always been about philosophy and beauty and truth. About a month ago, a call went out that we were needed for something important"

"It came from a Grand Lotus" Pakku said, then turned to Zuko, "Your Uncle, Iroh of the Fire Nation.

The old masters agreed to escort you to Iroh, you couldn't help but feel excited the last time you saw that crazy old man was during the invasion. You glanced at Zuko he looked so nervous but excited to see his Uncle. You grabbed his hand in an attempt to comfort him and "you have nothing to worry about, Iroh is going to be so proud of you" you whispered so only Zuko could hear. Zuko smiled at you but you knew it was forced.

"Well here we are! Welcome to old people camp" Bumi snorted as he laughed.

Zuko started to look around frantically, having no idea where to look. You couldn't help but giggle; he always gets over excited like this. "where… where is he?" he asked.

"You're Uncle is in there, Prince Zuko" Piandao said as he pointed to a tent, Zuko ran as fast as he could in the direction of the tent. You jogged off behind him giggling at how eager he is.

"Your parents are around here somewhere too" Jeong Jeong called after you. You said thanks than ran off to get to Zuko

When you finally reached the foul tempered Prince he was stopped outside his Uncle's tent, frozen in fear and self-doubt.

"Zuko, go see Iroh" you encouraged him softly.

"I… I can't Kana" Zuko replied quietly. "My Uncle hates me I know it" he turned away, "he loved me and supported me in every way he could and I still turned against him. How can I even face him?

You gently took Zuko's face in your hands, "oh Zuko, Iroh still loves you, he could never hate you" you smiled, "Go see Iroh, he's going to forgive you"

Zuko smiled a little before kissing you on the forehead, then he took a deep breath and walked into Iroh's tent. Seconds later you were grabbed and dragged into the tent where Iroh was snoring loudly, you looked at Zuko curiously.

"I need you with me" he mumbled embarrassed. You smiled and nodded as you led Zuko to the where Iroh was sleeping, the two of you sat next to his bed matt.

Zuko went to wake his uncle several times but each time he got nervous and stopped himself as you silently supported him. You knew he'd speak to Iroh sooner or later, and you'd be here to support him no matter how long it takes. When Iroh started to wake up, a look of sheer horror crossed Zuko face, you squeezed his hand in an attempt to comfort him.

When Iroh was fully awake and finally noticed Zuko he instantly turned his head away. Zuko looked down ashamed. You were surprised when Zuko began to speak

"Uncle, I know you must have mixed feeling about seeing me. But I want you to know, I'm so, so sorry Uncle" Zuko said as he looked up and continued, "I'm so sorry and ashamed of what I did" As the tear rolled down Zuko's face you hugged him around his waist in an attempt to comfort him. "I don't know how I can ever make it up to you but I'll…"

Before zuko could finish Iroh turned and pulled you and Zuko into a hug. You could tell that everything was going to be ok.

"How can you forgive me so easily? I thought you would be furious with me" Zuko said as he pulled away from Iroh, he only pulled you closer.

"I was never angry with you. I was sad" Iroh explained, "because I thought you lost your way"

"I did lose my way" Zuko replied.

"But you found it again" Iroh finished.

"I had a lot of help" Zuko said as he glanced at you and smiled.

"I'm so happy that you both found your way here" Iroh said as he pulled you and Zuko into another hug. You couldn't help but smile.

"It wasn't hard Uncle, you have a pretty strong scent" Zuko replied.

"Speaking of which" You said catching the attention of both firebenders. "Can we air out the tent?" you asked giggling.

Later that morning members of the order of the white lotus were waking up for the day, some were already working, others were eating breakfast and Azula's war balloon with a crudely painted water tribe symbol crash landed in the middle of camp. You weren't at all surprised to see Kaito, Jet, Longshot and Smellerbee emerge from the now destroyed war balloon.

From across the camp you could see your mother directing people as your father and Sung were working on some kind of plan. You tapped Zuko on the shoulder and gestured to your parents, Zuko smiled and nodded at you.

As you walked towards your parents, Daisuke and Kaito fell into step with you.

"You gonna be ok?" Daisuke asked referring to the last time your saw dad. Kaito gave you a serious look, he was just as concerned as Daisuke.

You nodded, "I think it will be fine" you reassured him.

Daisuke didn't look so sure, cryptic as always he said, "You know I'll always defend you and your choices even if I have to go against dad"

"I know" you replied gratefully, "We'll be fine"

"My beautiful babies!" Your mother yelled as she dropped everything she was doing to rush over to you and your brothers.

"Mommy!" Kaito yelled as he pulled your mom into a bear hug. Your dad and Sung jogged over. You couldn't help but giggle.

Before you knew it your dad was standing in front of you, his face held a mix of emotions. Daisuke was at your side in an instant. Your father looked so upset by Daisuke's action. You smiled sadly. "Hey dad"

"Kana are we ok?" He asked

"As long as you don't try to take kana away we will be" Kaito replied releasing your mother.

"Kaito" you scolded, then turned to your dad. "We're ok dad, I know you're worried, you were just doing what you thought was best."

He exhaled deeply before smiling, "I trust you and respect your decisions, and the fact that Daisuke and Kaito believe so strongly in you, only shows how wrong I was"

You smiled brightly and hugged your dad. You knew all was forgiven. After greeting your mom and Sung, you and your weird family went back to where you left the rest of your group.

"…would see it as more senseless violence, a brother killing a brother to grab power. The only way for this war to end peacefully is for the Avatar to defeat the fire lord" Iroh said.

You could see Zuko frown at Iroh as you settled next to him. "And then" he paused nervously, "then would come and take your rightful place on the throne?"

"No" Iroh shook his head. "Someone new must take the throne. An idealist with a pure heart and unquestionable honor." Zuko looked so nervous, you squeezed his hand an attempt to comfort him. "It has to be you Prince Zuko." Iroh finished.

Zuko shook his head "Unquestionable honor?"

"Zuko you're the most honorable person I know" You told him honestly.

"But I've betrayed you" Zuko said to you, then turned to Iroh, "and you, I didn't even deserve either of your forgiveness. I've made so many mistakes"

You wrapped your arms around Zuko silently trying to express how wrong he is. Zuko hugged you close.

"Yes you have" Iroh agree, for a moment you thought Iroh was about to make the situation worse, like he usually does, but he proved you wrong. "You struggled, you suffered but you have always followed your own path, you restored your own honor. And only you can restore honor to the fire nation" Iroh finished.

"I'll try Uncle" Zuko sighed; he was trying so hard to be confident in himself.

"Zuko" Daisuke started, "I can't think of anyone who would be a better Fire Lord, think about the choices you've made" He ordered looking at him expectantly.

Zuko thought for a moment and frowned, "I don't understand, all I can think about are all of my mistakes, what do you mean?"

"You spoke up the war meeting to save the lives of young soldiers," Daisuke prompted

"Didn't you free Aang from weird monkey faced admiral?" Kaito asked

"You kept your crew safe in that terrible storm and saved the helmsmen" you added.

"What are you getting at?" Zuko asked as he scrunched his nose in confusion.

"You've never tried to destroy an innocent village" Jet added.

"Well actually he set Kyoshi Island on fire" Suki corrected.

Zuko covered his face with his hands.

"Not helping" Daisuke told them, then turned back to Zuko, "you've had a hard life, you've made stupid choices, and if you ever hurt my sister again my threat to crush you still stands, but you're not bad person, you care about people, you're a born leader, you're scared now but you'll be a great fire lord I know it" Daisuke finished.

Zuko just stared at your brother in disbelief.

"I couldn't have said it better myself" Iroh nodded in agreement.

"I'd trust Daisuke, he's usually right and he doesn't let us forget it" Kaito added.

"And no matter what happens I'll be there to support you" You told him as you squeezed his hand.

Zuko looked at you and smiled then looked to your brothers and Iroh, "Thank you, I promise I won't let any of you down"
