After the long and agonizing progress… I… I have finally able to breed out Chapter 7! /slap

Everyone enjoy!

"Gina, what's wrong with you?!" Karel held the side of his abdomen and stormed forward to snatch the convention pistol away from the Gina's hand whilst Shun was trying his best to subdue the struggling girl from her back.

"Ugh!" Shun yelped in pain as Gina elbowed hard on his chest, letting her go in surprise. The girl took this opportunity to tackle down to the young man who took the pistol away from her. She gripped hard on Karel's wrist, jabbed her thumb on the pressure point, causing him to loses his grip on the pistol.

"This is not funny, Gina!" Karel hissed as the girl pointed the pistol on his forehead, forefinger twitching to pull the trigger, "Snap out of it!"

"Humans... God Eaters..." Gina spoke as she pressed on his wounded abdomen which was caused by the same pistol before the young man attempt to push her to aside, "Such ungrateful... Such insolent fools... Must be... Eliminated..."

"What are you...babbling about..."Karel gasped in pain as the wound on his abdomen stretched wider by Gina's brutal hand, more blood was draining from his body, but that doesn't mean that he will just die without putting on a fight. He grabbed the barrel of the pistol, tried to point the muzzle elsewhere before she fires a bullet through his skull.

"Must...be...eliminated..." Gina repeated strengthens her hold on the pistol in position and pulled the trigger...

"Sorry," Soma kicked on her hand, abruptly caused the fired bullet to stray from its intended direction. Without wasting another second, he gave a sharp strike on the girl's neck to knock her out cold. Karel panted as he pushed away the unconscious girl who crashed on him, holding the side of his abdomen to stop the bleeding, "Crap, never knew she have such monstrous strength..."

Shun rushed forward to help his teammate to sit up and exclaimed in surprise at the young man who was inspecting the blackout sniper, "What's that on her face?!"

"This..." Soma 's eyes widen as he recognize the strange black characters that was starting to spread out from a cut above the girl's eyebrow, they are the same as the one that was almost pierced into his chest by one of the intruders during the fight, "Where did she get this wound?"

"She got it from one of the intruders," Shun replied whilst swallowed nervously at the eerily sight of the black marks crawling on her pale skin.

"She have been acting strange ever since," Karel interjected after swallowed a recovery pill to urged the Oracle Cells in his body to blood cloth the wound. They first thought it was probably due to minor shock from near death experience since she has been spacing out often, they decided to leave her be, until she suddenly came out from her room and shot Karel in his stomach.

"Why don't I turn you into my Shikigami?" The female intruder chuckled as the as ominous black marks stretches from her fingertips to her whole arm, ready to pierce into his chest.

"So does this mean that, Gina was being turned into something they called 'Shikigami'?" Soma muttered as the unpleasant memory during the attacks flood back into his mind.

"What's happening here?!" upon encountering something so foreign and deadly, Shun started to panic as the black marks crawled all over his teammate's whole body.

"She has been cursed," Soma clicked his tongue, shifted the girl and carried her on his back, "Get up, we are getting out of here."

But it's weird. Most of the rooms in the Den are certainly not sound-proof, after all these shouting and bullets firing, why aren't there any people come out from their room to check what's going on?

Things have gotten weirder and weirder as they paced through the hallway. None of those walking or chatting in the middle of the hallways seems to notice Karel's severe injury, no one ask about the unconscious Gina with weird marks on her skin, no one even reacted when he accidently knock on a person's shoulder and continued on their conversations.

Was this Hatsuyuki's doing? For the sake of not wanting to cause anymore panic to the non-victims?

With four limbs being tightly shackled by thick steel restrainers and oxygen mask securely strapped over her face, Hatsuyuki was thrown into the large chemical filled container shortly after Tsubaki deemed that the mere enhanced cell would not be strong enough to subdue her.

The container was filled with large amount of modified anesthetic and tranquilizer that could stops the oracle cell in a God Eater's body from functioning, along with a dangerous substance filled syringe plugged into the orifice of her armlet, if she was detected an attempt to struggle free, the deadly substance in the syringe will automatically pump into the armlet and kill her in the matter of second... Or so they thought.

'I guess the other imposter wasn't informed that Oracle Cells are useless against our kind, nice,' Hatsuyuki thought and sighed softly behind the oxygen mask, 'All I need to do now is to wait...'

Then her thought drifted to her wolf companion. He must have been sulking for years since she were unable to remember him and his name, which was really bad. After all he have been so loyal to her for years and for she who was the one who gave him his name...

'I better apologize to him soon after this... Only if he kept his promise not to clamp his fangs down on the others out of short temper,' Hatsuyuki thought, 'Or else that name I gave him will really be a total flunk...'

Inside this liquid filled container, Hatsuyuki could barely hear anything clear except for the sound of bubbles blobbed in the container and her own breathing. Both anesthetic and tranquilizer in her body will wear off anytime soon along with the remaining active Oracle Cells. She just hope that she could stall enough time for the others to gather outside while she baiting her target who happens to be another imposter in the Den...

It was then, she vaguely heard the door of this room slides open through the liquids, followed by the familiar sounds of the high heels clicking on the floor, along with another person tailing behind.

'Ah, speak of the devil...' Hatsuyuki slowly opens both of her amethyst eyes, and met the glance of both woman and man who was only a layer of enhanced glass away from her.

"I see you are still capable to make small movements," the woman started, and narrowed her eyes at the captive within the container, "Be a good girl and wait for the members from the HQ to collect you for further experiments on you and the other fallens, Far East Branch don't have a need for monsters lingering in the Den."

'Ah, so many flaw in one lie for a supposed well-known master of disguise,' Hatsuyuki thought, 'I think I actually did a better job in that... Wait, isn't that a bad thing?'

The Tsubaki continue to observe her, expected to receive an agitated or any other negative responds, yet she got nothing but a sound a of mockery snort in return from the calm girl, giving her a look as though saying 'Look who's talking.'

The woman clutched on the clipboard she was holding and gritted her teeth in frustrations, "Continue to smirk while you can, girl, because you will be sorry later."

Another scoff from the girl, although this time was purely out of amusement. Do they seriously think going through all the trouble just to pull a stunt like this could make her fall? Tough luck, try again.

"You really have no idea what have you got yourself into, don't you?" the woman stomped one of her heels on the floor out of irritation from the lack of desired responds from the girl.

"Neither do you." Lindow who have been awfully quiet since the beginning suddenly shoved Tsubaki down to the metal-tiled floor using his aragami-infected hand before she could even respond.

"Lindow! Have you lost your mind?! Let go of me right this instant!" demanded the woman as she winced at the pressure that was forced on the back of her head.

Paying no heed to the woman's struggles and demands, dodged her kicking legs and scoffed, changing his voice from Lindow's into his own, which was richer and younger, "For a male fox who hates to disguise as a woman, you sure did a pretty hard work to endure your humiliation just to make Hatsuyuki fall, don't you?" The hard and rough textures of his aragami-infected hand slowly soften and turned into a furred black paw, razor sharp claws dangerously pricking on the fox's throat, the color of his eyes changed from green into ocean blue as his body shifted back into his original wolf form.

The latter's eyes widen in surprise at the exposure of his disguise, shot a glare towards the girl who had already freed herself from the confine of the container and made her way out from the murky liquid, "You wretched-, you planned this all along! You knew this will happen!"

"No, not really, I just went by the flow. Won't want to caught too much attention now won't we?" Hatsuyuki replied honestly, "but unfortunately to you, Kitsune. It seems that you have yet to aware that there has been two traitors among your midst," Hatsuyuki knelt beside the fox in disguise and placed her hand on the struggling fox's forehead, "It's best to put you in to sleep for now, I have tons to ask after this," the fox fearfully trying to back away from the girl's hand, but was unsuccessful as the wolf pinned him and threaten to slit open his throat if he tries anything weird. His struggling died down once Hatsuyuki's hand gave out a dim white glow, soothing him into unconsciousness. And gradually, the fox no longer take form of Tsubaki, instead, slowly reverted back into his tattered and deformed white fox form.

"Man, do I feel sorry for him," the black wolf scrunched his nose at the rotten stench emitted from the deformed fox," Well, serve him right for mocking me in the past."

"You were once in worse condition compared to him, Leonard," Hatsuyuki stated as she cast an illusion in this room, ignoring the wolf's annoyed glares.

The supposed empty chemical-filled container was now once again having a girl locked up within, and of course, everything was merely an illusion. Hatsuyuki sighed and turn on her heels only finds the black wolf sulking and glaring at her half-heartedly, she frowned, "Sulking again?

"You did it on purpose didn't you?" the black wolf started to whine a little, like a child pouting because his mother have forgotten her promise to buy him a new toy.

"Uh?" the girl innocently tilted her head to aside. Of course Hatsuyuki knew what the wolf meant, but it has been quite a while since she have let her mischievousness gets the better of her, so why not?

"Don't you 'Uh' me! I bet you have already remembered my name since three months ago!" the wolf furiously pads his paws on the floor, throwing a mini tantrum on his mistress again to express his displease, "You remembered the name you gave me yet you keep on 'Leonard' here 'Leonard' there! It's getting on my nerve I tell you!"

"But it's for the sake of act; everyone will be suspicious if I suddenly called you a different name, no?" Hatsuyuki chuckled while casting a silver rope, securely tying it around the unconscious fox.

"Gah! Don't give that bull! You can still call me by the real name you gave me when we both are alone!" the black wolf snapped and roughly nudged, but not forceful enough to hurt the girl by using his furry wolf head, growing even more agitated as the girl starts to laugh.

"But aren't you the one who insist me calling you 'Leo' when you first found me in the dying slum when I was seven in this life?" she teased.

"T-that's because..." the wolf stammered, struggling to come up a good reason to that, "That's because of Yagami! Yeah! That poser good for nothing threaten to kill you if we used the names that will trigger your memories from your past lives and have you awaken earlier than he expected!" he explained all in one breath, hoping that his mistress will buys it.

But Hatsuyuki knew better than that, obviously not buying it, "Sure~, blame it all to Yagami." she chirped and hoist the deformed fox on her shoulder as she stood.

The wolf sighed dejectedly. It wasn't all a lie though, there are names that Yagami doesn't aware that will trigger her memories, so the black wolf eventually took advantages of it. But who would've know that it doesn't work as he planned, her goddess side of her remained slumbering within her for the next few years until three months ago...

Hatsuyuki stared at her sulking companion, softly patted and scratched the back of his right ears, hinting that she was of his good intention, still, her smile soon turned into a sad one, "But why 'Leo' though? I bet there's few more names of the people who were once close to me in my past lives could be used."

"It seems that Yagami have been aware of the humans you interacted in your past lives, but..." the black wolf grumbled, leaned to the soft touch as he explains, "It seems that he doesn't know about 'Leo', so I used it, I thought it could effectively trigger your memories by using the name of the man you loved in the past."

Then, Hatsuyuki's thought strayed to a certain buster blade wielder who she have been working with for the past eight months, and shook her head, "It won't work this way... In fact, it'll only be more painful for me. He only remembers the encounter six years ago, " she smiled bitterly at her companion, "Since humans aren't meant to remember their past lives... Naturally, same goes to him."

With a final pat, she turned at proceed to the door, "Time to go now, Leonard. The illusions on those non-victims of the curse will wear off anytime soon."

"Stop calling me Leonard!" exclaimed the wolf as he tails behind his mistress.

"Sure, Leo~"

"Not Leo either!" the wolf felt like sobbing right now.

"Okay, okay! Shinobu, happy now?"

"Absolutely!" the wolf literally beamed, "Let me carry that stinking fox for you, won't want his nasty stench stuck on your clothes now won't we?"

"Shinobu..."

"Although the structures and formations are rather rough and shaky, but at least this time it's functional, we can open the portal once the others gets here," said Paylor after he have done examine the circle of spells drawn by him and Kanon, while making sure those unconscious fallen beings he have shifted out from the locked up training area remains immobile under his influence.

Paylor gazed at the circle, seemed lost in both sensations of nostalgic and uneasiness. Nearly thirty years have passed since the very last time he practiced sorceries and talisman, abandoned his original duty, embraced science and technology to search for other solutions to aid this dying world instead of giving his full faith to the gods. But once encountered the invasions like hours ago and the plague of the curse, he realized humans do not have the ability to solve everything like they thought they could.

"Doctor, where exactly are we going by using this portal?" Kanon didn't doubt the doctor and Hatsuyuki's good intentions, but she was just curious to know before they went.

"We are going to 'that' shrine to get these poor beings and the victims of the curse to receive proper rehabilitation and purifications," Paylor explained as he looked at the unconscious figures around, "Those who have been cursed have to receive a purification ritual before sunrise."

This have caught Kanon slightly off guard, she thought they're just a manipulating type of curse, "W-what will happen if they don't receive on before sunrise?"

"Their souls will be corroded inside out, and becomes a walking death who only follows orders for all eternity." Paylor said grimly, "If that happens, there are only few choices left for them. Fall in to the depth of Yomi, being either absorb or suffer torments by the Goddess of Dark, Izanami, or waiting to be slayed or exterminate by other gods in charge."

Kanon lowered her head in worries, "All this… was it because we insulted them?"

God Eaters… How did the gods felt; when they find humans self-proclaimed to slay gods in order to live? Naming those monsters after them and indirectly slaying them every single day. Will the attack today ever happen, if they had never called themselves God Eaters?

"Yeah… We have angered the gods." Moreover, they humans are probably the main cause of the fall of the fallen gods…

"But that shrine we are about to go," Kanon started with hesitation, "I thought it have been demolished by humans?"

" 'That' place was long gone indeed, but we will never know what Lady Sakaki have in her mind, probably this circle she have us draw was connected to elsewhere," the doctor replied melancholy, "But I bet, my presence will be the most unwelcome at that place we are about to go," Paylor slightly lowered he head in shame of himself and a certain woman. For a high priestess who was supposed to pass down the teaching and messages of the gods they serve, he had never thought that woman would turn her back against the deities and kill her own daughter for being a reincarnation of divine... this act fully explained the karma faced by that slum which was plagued by deadly disease.

Not far away from the pair, a few young God Eaters could only stares around in unease, utterly confused on what's going on for the time being.

"S-Sakuya, what's going on here?" Annette asked the oddly calm woman beside her, only to receive an uncharacteristic glare from the usually gentle woman, "Be quiet."

"I just... I mean, I... I'm utterly confused with the situations right now..." Annette flinched, lost and confused with whatever that's happening right before her eyes while Alisa narrowed her eyes in alertness, pointed her finger at the woman, "You're not the real Sakuya!"

"So what if I'm not? Is this how human shows their gratitude towards someone who just saved them?" The fake Sakuya scoffed, "How insolent, I still can't understand what Lady Sakaki saw in humans anyway."

"Lady Sakaki...?" Alisa muttered in confusion. Is Lady Sakaki related to Doctor Sakaki? But she quickly shrugs it off, "That's not the point! Where have you taken the real Sakuya? Kota, don't you have a say as well?" she grabbed and shook the teenage beside her who was unusually silent for the whole time. It was odd; he and Sakuya have been like this ever since he came back from their mission an hour ago. They didn't look surprise at all when they are told the Den was under attacked, but people in the Den was too caught up by the task in their hands to notice their oddness.

"She's right, be quiet for now, girl," answered the teenage with a voice different than normal and shrug of Alisa's forceful hands, "You will get your answer you want later."

"K-Kota?" Alisa took a step back as she pulled Annette along.

Not only Sakuya and Kota, everyone here was acting strange as well. Even Tatsumi, Brendan and the rest of their team came back weird this evening.

"This is all so messed up! What's going on here?" Alisa thought she might going have another breakdown soon. First was the shock knowing about her own leader and best friend who have been saving her countless times for the past months was actually an imposter... After brief explanations she received from Paylor and Kanon, she finds it even harder to believe that the real Haruno Aurora was ill and cowered away from her supposed responsibilities to fight for human race... And now these...

Strangled cries abruptly cut off Alisa's train of thoughts and caught others' attentions...

Among the unconscious deformed beings, Federico and Licca tossing and gasping in pain as the curse marks spreads wider regardless Paylor's attempts to put the spreading on hold.

"No! Don't touch them right now!" Noticed the commotion that has been going on, Paylor hastily warned. But the two girls were panic to pay heed to his warning.

"Stop doing that!" exclaimed Annette panicky at Federico who was literally trying to peel off his own skin that was matted with the curse marks and promptly grabbed both of his hands before he seriously hurts himself.

"L-Licca, hang in there!" Alisa did the same to the young mechanic whilst the latter continued to kick and struggled in pain.

Just half an hour ago, Alisa and Annette was patrolling in the Den. Both of the girls was utterly horrified when they found Licca, who often spent her times in the God Arcs Storage room fixing the weapons, literally causing severe damages on every God Arcs in her sight, whilst Federico was attempted to attack them. Feel panicked and have no idea what was going on, all they could do was subdue the two person who was causing a riot in the storage room, until Sakuya and Kota suddenly showed up, knocking the two berserk teens out cold and led the four of them out here, just in time to see another two familiar person drawing a huge complicated circles on the floor, few close fellow God Eaters carrying and dropping the unconscious deformed figures that are supposed to be locked up laying at the corner of the helipad.

Too many incidents had happened followed by one and another before both of the female God Eaters could even digests. They never before had encountered something such as curses and spiritual.

As the cursed duo's struggles suddenly intensified, both female God Eaters started to dread.

"Are you two deaf? Step back!" the fake Sakuya finally snapped and pulled Annette away from the boy whilst the fake Kota pulled Alisa away from Licca from the back.

"Tch, can't you two do as you are told?," growled the fake Sakuya in irritations, whilst the other imposter God Eaters helped to subdue the two struggling teens, repelling the curse marks that attempted to snake around their hands from the victims.

"Oh no..." Annette who collapse and whimpered as she stared at her both hand in terror, she was infected. Alisa should be facing the same problem as well, but she doesn't. Unlike Annette, the curse marks immediately vanished once made contacted with her skin. She could only stares in disbelieve, stammered," B-but...how come? I was so sure that... Those marks just crawled on me..."

"That's because Auro-, no," Kanon who rushed forward to check on the Russian girl shook her head as she almost spoke the wrong name out of habit, "Lady Sakaki might have cast a charm on you before the attacks today…"

There again, who is this Lady Sakaki they have been talking about? Alisa frowned.

Relief washed over Paylor as other girl was fine while he tried to calm Annette who was about to experience a panic attack, and then, the door was being kicked open, startled everyone there...

"Hey, guys! I need a little help here!"

"Keep your voice down, damn it!"

It was Soma and Shun. Shun was supporting the injured Karel whilst carrying the unconscious Hibari on his back; being stronger of the two, Soma supported both unconscious Gen and another female God Eater who one of the three who searched through Hatsuyuki's room earlier while he carried Gina on his back.

After settling two people on the floor, Shun dropped himself on his back, clearly exhausted from endless surprises and frights while they struggled through their way here, "I thought I'm done for!"

Everything was a total nightmare when they dashed their way here. Hibari and Gen was acting strange, attacking them, and shouting weird words to them as those weird marks crawls on their skins like it does on Gina's, then there goes another female rookie tagged along into the riot. It was a close call, if it was not for that imposter and her wolf came in time...

"Soma, you're okay!" relieved upon meeting someone other than Annette and herself behaving normal, Alisa shook off the grasp of the fake Kota and scrambled up from the floor, hurried to help the young man out with Kanon. She carefully moved the female rookie, Ayame and laid her on the floor as Kanon help with Gen. Right then, mass of expanding curse mark on Gina's skin immediately caught Kanon's attention, and stuttered in disbelieve at the younger male who have been carrying the sniper, "S-Soma, nothing happens to you while you were carrying her?"

"Huh?" Soma raised an eyebrow at her question, and immediately felt numerous pairs of eyes glancing to his way, "What are you people staring at?" he growled and shifted a little, disrelish to become the center of attentions.

"No, it's just-"

Paylor was soon abruptly interrupted by the girl they are waiting.

"Stop fussing over every single detail and just do as I say," Hatsuyuki rushed towards them with the black wolf carrying something deformed on his back beside her, "Everyone step into that circle now."

"W-why should we listen to you?" Annette retorted as some of the people busy in shifting those deformed and victims in to the circle, readying to depart to wherever the place might be, while most reacted just like her, refused to just blindly follow whatever the imposter says. But the fake Sakuya immediately knock some sense into her by grabbing her wrist, "Listen girl, she is the only one who could help you undo the curse that was rotting you inside out. We are not giving you an option now, either go with her or suffer painful death!" Annette winced and stumbled into the circle after a rough shove from the fake Sakuya.

Alisa watches as almost everyone stepped into the glowing circle, save for those imposters who stood outside of it. She glanced at Soma who was staring at the Hatsuyuki as the girl calls out for more assistance from her people, asking for them to transform into those who was about to depart with her, filling in for their absence until they are back from wherever they are about to go.

"What about you Soma?" Alisa asked nervously.

"I'm going." Soma replied without showing a slightest hesitant.

"You just blindly believe in her? This is absurd! You don't know what she will do!" Alisa grasp on his elbow as soon as he took the first step.

"She may not be the real Aurora Haruno," Soma growled, "But do you seriously think that the time she spent with us as First Unit member was just an act? Can't we just accept the way she was just like the way she accepted us when nobody want to have anything to do with us?"

The last part has struck Alisa to the core. She shakily let go of her grasp on Soma's shoulder, and lowered her head. Of course, there's no way that she will ever forget the girl's selflessness. A lot have happen for the past months, especially for the members of the First Unit. It was a rocky start for them at first, since everyone has so much disagreement on each other, but their leader stand firm on her two feet to reach her hands out for them.

Soma, who have been an outcast and being accused of something he was not ever since his birth, was finally able to move forward being respect and trust by the people in the Den. He was changing into a more social person instead of just isolates himself all the time. That was because leader never coward away or give up on him.

Kota, who once decided to abandon the team for his family and approve the Ark Project, has received negative remarks along with the others who agreed to abroad the ship after the incident. Even though the bad mouthing session was short lived, words will still scar a person badly. But Kota soon become cheerful again, because leader understand his desire for his family's safety and respects his choice.

Sakuya, who happens to be the one of the two eldest in the team, can sometime be impulsive as a young teen as well went it comes to someone precious to her such as Lindow. She may seem rational and able to carry her missions just fine after Lindow was assumed dead, still, there will be time she would lash it out on people when she lose her cold. But leader endures her well, because it is painful to lose someone who was dear to you.

Lindow, who was supposed to be killed in action by her fatal mistake, appeared out of nowhere. It should be joyful news, but not for long. He was undergoing a severe aragami-transformation, and they are ought to kill him in sight to end his suffering. Yet, their leader saved him when the other thought it was impossible. She have gave Lindow a second chance to live and happily married Sakuya as his wife.

As for her, she was a stuck up and arrogant girl at first who think lowly of others, always thought that she was the only one in the world who encountered a tragic fate of losing her beloved parents. After her fatal mistake, she have literally useless and became a laugh stock among the God Eaters, enduring verbal abuse and mockeries from the others for days. But her leader willing reach out her hands to help her up on her own feet again, patiently aid her and accompanied her through her rehabilitations. In the end, she was finally able to regain respect and being relied by the others. All thanks to her leader's undying support. And yet… she doubted her just for being a different person…

Alisa snapped back into reality when she felt a hand softly nudged her to move forward, she glanced at the girl who was doing the same to Soma, and was lost in words.

Aware of Alisa's dilemma, the girl with amethyst eyes smiled gently, with a hint of bitterness that was soon being concealed, "You don't have to force yourself to believe me just yet, I'm the one who have been deceiving all of you and break your trusts after all. But at least you still believe in Kanon and Annette right?"

How could she still able to smile?

"Walk in for Annette's sake then, she needs her senior's support right now," the girl gestured towards the girl who was currently under distress and fear as the curse marks on her hands expanded, eyeing Alisa pleadingly to join into the circle with her, but the latter still hesitated.

"The real Sakuya, Lindow, Kota and the rest are currently under safe care at the place we are about to go," Hatsuyuki accurately hit the right button again without trouble, successfully eliminated Alisa's last restrain and finally walked in the glowing circle to join the others.

Hatsuyuki sighed in to relieve and turned to the replicas of the people in the Den, "We'll probably be back in three days if the victims have completely recovered, I trust you all to know what to do right?"

The fake Sakuya scrunched her nose in annoyance at the thought of living in the place full of humans for three days, but she just shrugged, "Got it, we will make sure to guard the humans here and search for any possible fallens in the place as well."

"Remember to come back with those real ones as soon as possible, though," the fake Kota complained, "I can't stand humans for a long period."

"Noted." Hatsuyuki sighed and nudged Shinobu, "Let's go, the 'those two' are waiting at the other side now."

"Sure," Shinobu answered and walked ahead of her.

Soon, she was taken aback when she felt a hand grasp on her wrist and dragged her along.

"Soma?" she thought he went into the circle.

"If you don't join in soon, those people will start to think that you are up to no good," Soma said without looking at her, "You definitely won't want that."

"Hmm," Hatsuyuki hummed in understanding, and ask, "No doubts from you?"

"I will be honest to you that I already have tons of doubts on you even when you disguised as Aurora," Soma replied straightforwardly, "So naturally I won't give much damn about you being a goddess or a demon."

"Erm…Ouch?"

"But what really mattered to me was, you have kept half of your promise as Hatsuyuki, that gives me more reason not to doubt you," Soma was starting to have a hard time to continue what he wanted to say. Damn, he is turning in to a total sap. Lindow is to blame, he concluded.

"And I'm glad that I didn't wait six years for nothing, I won't let you go that easily," he practically slurred through his words in flustering, hoping that the girl unable to make out what he have just said. Unfortunately to him, his words didn't go unheard.

Hatsuyuki was surprised, and awed by the young man yet again, just like in their past lives. She smiled genuinely for the first time since she regained her memories, and chuckled as she remembered something similar have happened as well in the past.

"So what if you and your brothers are deities in human flesh?" A man in his mid-twenties scoffed as he crossed his arms over his chest, "You actually think I'll dump you and run like a coward because of that?!"

"Well, Leo. I won't want something bad to happen to you for being with-"a young woman in her early twenties with amethyst eyes hesitated, but was sharply interjected by the man.

"Too late."

"Huh?" the young woman glanced at the man in confusion.

"I said it's too late to say that now, bad things has already happened to me long since I decided to date you." the man face palmed in exhaustion.

"Oh…" the young woman felt her heart sunk as she thought the man regretted to be with her.

"I couldn't imagine anything scarier than those two crazy triplet brothers and that weird black wolf of yours."

"What?"

"You seriously have no idea that I have literally been through the deepest hell created by those bizarre siblings of yours just to get their approval for me to court you. You think I would no longer love you just because you are not human?"

She felt her heart swelled at that particular memory. This young man may be clumsier in words in this life, but… No matter how many times they have reincarnated, no matter which time line they have met each other in the past, this soul never ceased to amaze her with his own ways.

She guesses this could be exactly the reason why she would fall for this human over and over again every single life without fail.

It seems that this life wasn't as bad as she thought.
