A/N: I'm back! Ish! I wouldn't say that I went away exactly. I just….disappeared for a bit. You all know how it goes….work, school, blah blah blah. Now that it's finals week I am procrastinating by writing more fanfiction! Yay for procrastination! Why do today what you can put off until tomorrow? That's what I say.

I hope that you're all still with me because let me assure you, THE BEST OF THIS STORY IS STILL TO COME! I'm so excited to write it it's not even funny.

Disclaimer: Nothing's mine.

WARNING: Very explicit sexual situations in this chapter, language, aaaand I think that's it.

Luna and Sirius made their way back to Hogwarts happier than anyone had ever seen either of them before. As they skipped hand in hand, heads turned in their direction in bafflement. None of them had ever seen Sirius Black giddy before.

When they finally made it to Gryffindor tower it was to find that they were the last ones back. Remus, Mary, and Peter were sitting together by the fireplace. Alice was painting her fingernails while looking haphazardly at an open Charms textbook. There was a smattering of other students around as well. "Oi! Lupin!" called Sirius from across the room. "Where's Prongs?"

"Here," growled James as he and Lily descended from the steps that led up to the boys dormitories.

Grinning from ear to ear like a fool, Sirius spread his arms wide open and said, "I have some wonderful news! Luna and I-" before he could finish his sentence, Lily Evans had reared back and punched him right in the nose.

Sirius's head snapped back as the hit caught him entirely off guard and his hands flew to his face to catch the blood. Luna shrieked and fumbled for her wand to hurriedly fix it.

Remus, Peter, Mary, and Alice realized that something was going on. "Alright everyone! As Head Boy I say it's time for you all to turn in. Get some extra sleep tonight. I want everyone out of the common room!" Remus yelled.

All of the Gryffindors in the common room who were not seventh years disappeared to their dormitories. Peter took one look around before saying quietly, "I'm not-not sure what's going on here, but I think I would rather not know," and he, too, scampered up the stairs to his bed.

"Alright, what's going on?" Sirius asked as he looked back and forth between James and Lily in bewilderment.

"You knew," Lily accused angrily, shaking in her rage, as she pointed a finger into his chest.

"Get your hand off of him, Evans," snarled Luna as she went into protective mode.

James was gazing at her as if seeing her properly for the first time. "So you think that Sirius didn't deserve to get pummeled by either Lily or myself?" his voice was shockingly calm as he carefully folded his arms over his chest.

"Why would he possibly deserve that? What the devil has gotten into you, Prongs?" hissed Remus.

"I'll tell you what's gotten into us!" James raised his voice. "Sirius has been fucking our granddaughter and didn't even have the decency to tell us!"

Luna's face fell. Sirius frowned and attempted to defuse the tension with a few white lies. "Not sure what you're talking about, mate. Have you had one too many firewhiskeys tonight? In case you haven't noticed, you don't have a granddaughter."

"Don't you dare!" screamed Lily Evans who was still vibrating with the force of her fury. "Don't you dare stand there like you don't have any idea what we're talking about! James and I accidentally stumbled upon these!" From her pocket she extracted one of Luna's vials filled with her memories.

With a gasp of horror she covered her gaping mouth with her hands and asked in a whisper, "What did you see?"

"Enough," James answered, "to deduce that Lily and I end up married. That we eventually have a son who ends up being your father. We learned other things as well," he glanced timidly at Remus, Sirius, and Mary. It hadn't gone unnoticed by James or Lily that Teddy Lupin had said his mother was a metamorphamagus and unless Mary was hiding something big, she did not fit this description.

"I'm…so sorry," Luna's eyes were quickly filling with tears. "I wanted to tell you so badly but I wasn't supposed to. Dumbledore said that I couldn't tell anyone but-"

"But you told Sirius!"

"I didn't! He…he read my diary."

Sirius held up his hands in a sign of innocence, "Hey! All your diary told me was that you were from the future. I didn't know that you were James's granddaughter until Christmas!"

"I can't believe you didn't tell us, you complete arse!" Lily started whaling on him again, this time punching his arm and side repeatedly before James grabbed her hips and pulled her away from him.

"Wait! Stop!" cried Alice. "What the hell is going on?"

"Oh…my….Merlin!" Mary was the only person in the room who appeared to be happy by this revelation. "Luna's from the future! Holy fuck!"

"Looks like the pixie's out of the cage," Sirius mumbled.

"Yes," Luna admitted, feeling like a huge weight was being removed from her shoulders. "I am from the future. But I cannot tell you anything about your respective futures. It could seriously alter the present as well as my own time. One mistake on my part could change everything. You already know more than you should. But in case you haven't figured it out yet, my name is actually Lily Luna Potter. My father is Harry James Potter, who is the son of Lily and James."

"I don't understand. Time travel is supposed to be impossible. How did you end up here?" asked Remus, who was ever the scholar.

"It was an accident. In case you haven't noticed, Potters tend to get into more trouble than most other people. We're all a bit too adventurous for our own good. I found a time travel device in the attic by accident. I didn't realize what it was. My brother and I were arguing about it so I tried to Apparate away from him. I ended up taking him to Hogsmeade with me when I somehow set off the time travel contraption. Then I found myself here."

"I told you that she just popped into existence out of nowhere," said Remus firmly.

"Yeah, yeah, we will pat you on the back for that one later, Moony. Right now the problem is that Sirius knew yet he continued to date her, and bed her, despite that knowledge."

"Did you ever stop to think that it's because I love her?" Sirius asked in desperation. "Or that perhaps I'm better for her than any prat in her own time? Shouldn't you be happy that your best mate is with her? You know that I'll never hurt her, James."

"It's not only me you have to convince," James jerked his thumb in Lily's direction. The aforementioned redhead narrowed her eyes viciously at Sirius.

"Lily. Darling," he patted her head affectionately. "Luna here might be your granddaughter, but I love her. Very, very much. More than I ever thought I could love anyone. She's…Merlin, she's amazing! You know she is! Before you found out who she really was she was one of your best friends."

"Hullo! I'm still here," Luna interjected. "Has anyone considered the fact that Sirius might have tried to refuse me but I seduced him? Of course it didn't exactly happen like that, but it could have!"

"Basically did," Sirius reminded her with a knowing smirk. "After all, love, you didn't tell me who you really were until the last minute before we…" he trailed off at stern glares from James and Lily.

"Are you just going to stay here forever? Why haven't you gone home yet?" Remus looked like he was about to pull out a spare bit of parchment and start taking notes.

"I'm leaving as soon as Professor Dumbledore can get me another time travel device because I lost mine somewhere between now and my time. He and Professor McGonagall said something about creating some sort of time loop if I stay? I'm not exactly sure what it means but they're worried about creating a paradox. Which means that as soon as it's possible, I need to return home."

"Do you hear that, Padfoot?" James asked lightly, "She can't stay here forever."

"We know," said Sirius patiently, "which brings us back to what I was trying to tell you when we first came in."

"For the sake of my sanity, do not tell me that you are going with her," James growled.

"No. I can't. She says that I'm needed here," he rolled his eyes as he said this.

"Then we don't want to hear it," said Lily Evans forcefully. "Whatever idiotic plan you've concocted, just keep it to yourselves."

"Well, you see, it's kind of important-"

"Black!" Lily yelled in warning.

"Yes?" Both Luna and Sirius replied.

"I said, 'Black' as in Sirius Black," Lily clarified.

"Oh," said Luna with an innocent shrug. "I thought you said, 'Black' as in Luna Black," and she held up her left hand where now sat a rather large diamond ring.

"What?" screamed James, "You two got engaged?"

"We did," Luna agreed, "For about an hour. Then we eloped."

"No!" cried James and Lily simultaneously.

"Yes," Sirius corrected with a smile as he slid an arm over his wife's shoulders. "Sorry you couldn't be there, mate, but we didn't want you to try to talk us out of it."

"Sirius Orion Black! I'm going to positively murder you!" Lily Evans flung herself at Sirius Black, latching her hands around his throat.

There was a chaotic skirmish in which everyone joined in. Eventually it was Luna who had the intelligence to pull out her wand and cast a freezing charm on everyone else. "There's no use fighting about it now. It's done. We have the magical bonds and everything."

When she released her spell, her friends disentangled themselves from each other and stood, Lily and James still looking mutinous, Remus looking stunned, Mary and Alice looking slightly ashamed for joining in, and Sirius still grinning (although he was now sporting a black eye and busted lip).

Remus mumbled a hasty spell as he slid his wand over Sirius. With an exasperated groan he announced, "They're telling the truth. You can detect marriage bonds on them now."

"Gran! Grandad!" Sirius teased as he spread his arms open expectantly toward James and Lily.

"Moony," said James casually, "You'd best hold me back. Otherwise Sirius might die within the next two seconds." Taking this statement quite seriously, Remus cast a Shield Charm between them and Accio'd their wands for good measure.

"Congratulations!" Mary cried as she rushed to embrace Luna. Thankfully she was on the same side of the Shield Charm and the girls squealed in delight at this turn of events.

"You can't be married!" Objected Alice thoughtfully. "We're still in school. It's not like you can cohabitate or anything."

"We only have six more months of school. I have plenty of gold to buy us a place after that. We'll be fine," said Sirius.

"What about the Order, mate? Still going to gallivant off on dangerous missions with a wife at home?"

"I…we haven't decided yet, but she may not even be here then. Dumbledore only guaranteed her enough time here to graduate."

"I want to join," said Luna immediately. "If I'm still here, I'm going to join the Order. Don't look at me like that, Sirius, I won't be happy any other way. I won't let my friends and family put their lives on the line while I sit back and do nothing. You won't be happy with that either, so of course we'll join."

"We'll cross that bridge when we come to it," Sirius's voice held a tone of finality and he firmly reached out to grasp Luna's hand in his own.

Lily, who hadn't said anything in a while, finally met Luna's eye and asked quietly, "Are you happy? Did you want this?"

"I am happier with Sirius than I've ever been in my life and that's saying something. If you saw my memories you know what a great life I've lived back home. Being married to him is something that I wanted more than I can put into words."

Lily grimaced. "I don't know why, but…if you're happy I reckon I shouldn't complain. Black is a womanizing prat and I've butted heads with him since the first day of Hogwarts but in some twisted way it makes sense that of all of the people in the world, you two found each other. The only woman with the capability of taming that beast would be a Potter."

Sirius gave a bark of laughter and snaked an arm around Luna's waist. "It is fitting."

"We have your blessings then?" Luna asked. It was the first time they had seen vulnerability in her eyes. The wide brown orbs shone with longing. "I mean, you're the only family I have here and as silly as it might sound, I do want your approval."

"I can't speak for this wanker, but you have my blessing," Lily said with a small smile as she slapped James's arm.

James shrugged in a jerky movement. "I reckon I could get used to it."

Remus removed his Shield and this time instead of attacking each other with fists, they embraced with love.

"Luna, can I speak with you?" Lily asked timidly as the former was packing a small overnight bag.

"Sure, but it will have to be fast because Sirius and I are leaving soon."

"Where are you going?"

"Well, it is our honeymoon after all. We're sneaking out of the castle probably just renting a room for a night. Maybe in Hogsmeade or Diagon Alley. Merlin, I never thought I would end up in Diagon Alley for my honeymoon. I always pictured somewhere exciting like Greece or the Caribbean."

"Yes, but what's weird to me is that my – uh – granddaughter is going on her honeymoon before I've even gotten married," Lily chuckled weakly. "What I really wanted to talk about though was some of the things I saw in your memories."

Luna froze in her movements. "I don't know if I can talk about them."

"How did James and I – die?"

Luna's spine stiffened and she turned around to face the taller witch. With a cold unnerving stare, she replied, "Voldemort killed you both personally. That's all I can say about it."

"And Teddy…he's Remus's son?"

"Yes."

"But his mother…"

"Isn't Mary."

"Oh Godric. We can't tell her. It would devastate her. She's been in love with Remus for years. Do you know anything about why they eventually split up?"

"I honestly have no idea. Are you done?" Luna was barely holding back the tears that threatened to fall. This was the last thing she wanted to discuss; their future, her past.

"I'm sorry, I just-"

"I know. I would be curious, too, but just believe me when I tell you that you're happier not knowing. There's no need to badger Sirius for more details because I don't tell him anything either."

"Right. Have a good time tonight then."

"Thank you." Luna hoisted her bag securely over her shoulder and flounced out of the dormitory.

…..

In some unspoken pact, the seven seventh years who had been witness to the scene in the common room agreed to not speak of it to anyone. Not even Peter, who had retreated to his dormitory before anything important had been revealed.

"I can't believe you're a married man now," Peter said as Sirius got together a few things to take with him overnight.

"What surprises me is that Sirius was the first of us to settle down with a witch. I had money that it would be you, James. Damn," Remus dug through the pockets of his robes and extracted two galleons which he passed over to Peter.

"What can I say, boys? She's brilliant." Sirius winked at his three dorm mates.

"Where are you taking her tonight?" asked Remus.

"Not far. Maybe just Hogsmeade. We could Apparate to Diagon Alley or somewhere else but I'll leave that up to her. I, uh, was actually considering sitting my N.E.W.T.s early but Luna won't do it and there's no point if I leave Hogwarts without her."

Without warning James sharply punched Sirius in the arm. "Of course you won't sit your N.E.W.T.s early, you git! How dare you even contemplate leaving us? And to take Luna away from us with you! For shame, Padfoot, for shame!"

"Godric! I said she wouldn't do it, didn't I? Bollocks, Prongs, that fucking hurt."

"It was meant to!"

"Oi, stop bickering like an old married couple. Go get your bird, mate, she's probably already waiting downstairs," it was Remus who intervened and with a clap on Sirius's shoulder he spun him toward the door and gave him a gentle shove in the right direction.

…..

As it turned out, they didn't even make it as far as Hogsmeade before Luna tugged Sirius into an alcove on the third floor of the castle. "An alcove? Really?" Sirius inquired in a conversational way as Luna tugged anxiously at his belt.

"Mmhmm," she mumbled as she undid the snap of his trousers and he absentmindedly played with the ends of her hair.

"Broom closets maybe a bit cliché, but at least they have a door. Anyone could walk by and see – ah fuck – us." Sirius had been interrupted in his sentence by her hot wet mouth surrounding his cock without warning.

She pulled away and blinked up at him. "Hypocritical of you, isn't it, love? Weren't you the one who molested me in the bookstore this afternoon?"

"If you recall, you were just as into it as I was," he protested weakly as her mouth descended on him again. Sweet Circe he would never get enough of this. He would never tire of watching her delicious red lips wrapped around the base of his cock, feeling her tongue swirl around it.

And when she sucked! Fuck! Shit! Good Godric! His eyes nearly crossed at the force of the suction. Luna released him from her mouth as he panted lightly and very gently flicked her tongue over his tip, enjoying the taste of him. With a rough growl of, "You're such a fucking tease," Sirius fisted one hand in her hair and braced his other hand against the wall behind her and fucked her mouth in earnest.

Surprised by this reaction, all Luna could do was suck as her now-husband ravaged her mouth. She couldn't deny that she enjoyed it. Feeling him lose control like this had her on the verge of orgasm herself. And then he came. The hot liquid erupted into her mouth and she swallowed quickly, being sure to lick him at the same time so she didn't miss any.

…..

"I want to show you where I live, you know, in the future," Luna said quietly as she leaned back into Sirius's embrace. They were on his broomstick, no pun intended, just gliding lazily across the night sky.

"Okay, wife, take the lead," he let go of the handle and the broom started into a nose dive before Luna's skilled hands grabbed hold of it and pointed it in the right direction.

"It's quite a distance away, so I think we'd better land and Apparate." She guided the broomstick down easily into a quiet muggle neighborhood where it appeared everyone was asleep.

Luna and Sirius appeared in front of a large three-story home and Sirius let out a low whistle. "Nice."

"It's beautiful. You should see the inside." They were in Godric's Hollow and Sirius made the connection instantly between the graveyard they'd visited previously and this house, only a few streets away. Now ideas were churning in his quick mind about who lay buried in the undug graves in the future.

"We could, you know. Break in quietly, take a tour, Obliviate the muggles inside…"

Luna chuckled but shook her head. "Absolutely not. Don't even think about it, Black!"

Behind Luna was a sign noting that the house was for sale and currently uninhabited. With a broad grin, knowing that Luna hadn't noticed the sign, Sirius swooped her up into his arms. "Let's! Come on, love, I'll even carry you over the threshold!"

"SIRIUS ORION BLACK! You put me down right now! We can't just break into a home owned by muggles!"

"Shh! Be quiet! You'll wake the whole neighborhood!" He scolded as he used a bit of wandless magic to unlock the door and enter the house.

"Good! Maybe that will stop you from – oh" she stopped short a she realized the place was void of any furniture. "Doesn't anyone…"

"No," Sirius was laughing unabashedly at her. "There was a sign out front."

"You prat!" she said but there was no venom behind it. He set her on her feet and pinched her bum.

"Going to give me that tour now?"

"Well this is obviously our sitting room. We have a couch here, a piano over there in that corner, that door leads into the kitchen…" as she spoke she led the way through the house.

Luna described different décor in the house and what James and Albus had in their respective bedrooms, even though James Sirius Potter no longer lived at home they hadn't changed a thing about his bedroom.

"This will be my room," she told him quietly as she flipped the light switch on. Sirius smiled, seeing in his mind how he pictured it to look in the future. "I have purple curtains on the window and a bookshelf along that wall. I magically expanded the closet to fit all of my clothes. After all, I have to have two entirely different wardrobes for the muggle and wizard worlds…"

Distraction came in the form of lips on her neck. "You sound like you are very happy here."

"I am –er – will be. I was very fortunate. I have a great childhood and a wonderful family. Before you, my happiest memories are here and Hogwarts,"

"How about for our honeymoon…we stay home?" He suggested with a smile.

"Alright." They kissed briefly before Sirius pulled away.

"I am going to run out," he said quickly, "get a few things for us. While I'm away, you can maybe conjure up some furniture and whatnot," he waved his hands around the room in a broad gesture.

With a chuckle she kissed his jaw. "Hurry back."

"To you, Mrs. Black? Always."

"What are we going to do?" Lily whispered to James as she cuddled into his side. It was late that night and the two were in his bed with silencing charms up around the area.

"Get married, have a baby, and…"

"Die," Lily offered unhelpfully.

"No," argued James after dropping a kiss on top of her head. "Not if I can help it. What we do is support our best friends and our…granddaughter. We fight this war against Voldemort. And we survive."

"How can you be so optimistic? I just feel so lost and helpless but you…you're my rock, James Potter."

"And you're my hope, Lily Evans. I'm not optimistic, I'm determined. Determined to keep you safe and by my side until we are both old and grey and then I fully plan on dying first so I don't have to go a day without you!"

"You're a git," Lily said fondly as her arm snaked around his naked waist.

"What do you think we should do?" he asked, going back to the more serious question she had started the conversation with.

"Try to find out more about our future?"

"No. That's dangerous. Luna was right about that. We can't know too much, Lily. If we learn too much we could screw everything up. Who knows? Maybe if we survive, so does Voldemort." It was a far-fetched idea, but it was the first thing that came to his mind. He had no idea that he was right.

"Don't be ridiculous. How could our deaths be connected to Vol – his death?" Lily refrained from saying the name, feeling as though if she said it he would appear.

"Maybe," began James in a lofty voice, "we devise a genius plan on destroying him but in order to carry out the plan, we have to die. Like a kamikaze or some other suicide mission."

"Are we seriously discussing the possibility of flying a Japanese airplane into You-Know-Who?"

"Well, do you know if anyone's tried that yet? I'm pretty sure that would kill him. A plane would also probably be heavy and fast enough to break through a Shield Charm so – yeah, I'd say we are discussing the possibility of flying a Japanese airplane into Lord Voldemort."

Despite the dark demeanor surrounding them, James and Lily laughed quietly together in this moment of bliss and comforted themselves with the fact that they were both currently happy, healthy, safe, and with each other.
