I seem to have made a mistake as I didn't put how Roxana was able to communicate with other aliens with no power rings. So let's just pretend that she got her wrist band when they went to the jail and that it was first used as a universal translator then upgraded to a shield in the hunter story.

It was a new day on the interceptor. Roxana was looking over a special data pad that let her read, play games, and even draw. Kilowog then said "So what should our next course be Jordan?" Hal then said "I'm not sure. I know the red lanterns want to get to oa but they have no way of getting there since they don't have the same hyper drive that we do." Roxana then said "And we're stuck here as well till the ship fixes its own."

Suddenly Aya said "I have an incoming message from oa." Hal and Kilowog both jumped at that looking at each other and Hal grabbed Roxana and said "Get in the other room and don't come back until we tell you." Roxana sighed, she hated this but if these guardian guys they told her about where as strict as they said it was best to not get herself in trouble.

As she was walking away the door suddenly opened once more and Razer came out saying "I don't particularly wish to hear them. They tend to be irritating with their insisting nagging and suspicions of me." Roxana then asked "Didn't you already prove yourself?" "Apparently to the guardians I have not." Roxana rolled her eyes at that and said "Let's just find something to do."

Razer nodded as the two headed over to the table as it popped up and as they sat down Roxana brought out the data pad she was looking at again and he asked "What have you been doing with that?" "Just reading some stories but nothing much." Razer looked at her as he asked "May I see what you've been reading?" Roxana seemed surprised but replied "Sure." She opened up to where the stories where saved and opened up the little library like section.

She handed the data pad over and he said "I have never heard of these tales." "That's because they're all from earth. Most of them are fairytales, made up stories that we usually here when we're children." Razer nodded as he replied "Do most still like them as adult?" "Allot actually do still like them as adults. And people like to make different versions of them all the time. I've done a couple myself before."

Razer looked at the titles a bit in confusion. Beuty and the Beast, Sleeping Beuty, Swan Lake, Mulan…..At that one Razer stopped and asked "What is this story, Mulan?" "Oh well Mulan is the name of the character. It's about a young woman who disguised herself as a man to take her father's place in the army because he was to old and ill." Razer looked shocked at that as he asked "So it is a tale of honor."

"Sort of. This story takes place in a time in our history when woman could not join the army. In fact, a woman could be executed for it. But she loved her father too much to let him die. So, she did what she had too. In fact, this is actually a legend. And there is a poem about it. From the translated version I read, when she returned to the life of a woman no one could understand how they could mistake her for a man." Razer smirked as he replied "I supposed they all felt quite foolish for it." "I suppose they did. The reason I like the story so much is because it shows how woman can do things as well as a man."

Razer nodded as he replied "I can see this inspired you. I remember back at the prison how you wanted to prove yourself so badly." She smirked as she said "Yeah well it's something I've lived believing in so you can't just change something like that." He smirked as he replied "I am glad you did not let yourself be changed in that regard." She smiled back at that but before they could say more Hal said "Razer, Roxana, we got a mission." The two looked at each other and walked back into the control room. As they came in Roxana asked "What's going on?"

Hal and Kilowog looked worried as they looked at her but Aya suddenly spoke up with "It has been found that the red lanterns have been collecting data in a certain sector of space. More specifically the exact place where we found you." Roxana looked shocked as she said "But why would they be looking around there?" Razer then said "The energy left by the transportation device that brought you here. They must be trying to find a way to get to oa."

Hal then said "For some reason their heading to some planet. We need to go there to check it out so we can see how far they got in their plans for the space jump." Roxana then said "Let's go then." Kilowog then said "Wo their kid, we know you can handle yourself but these are red lanterns we're talking about. You're not ready for that." "Yeah but maybe I could spy for you guys. They've never met me before."

Suddenly Razer suddenly spoke up "Roxana no! Red lanterns are murderous, they will kill you without a second thought. I used to be like them. Stay on the ship stay away from them." Roxana was shocked and said "Razer you can't ask me to do that. You know how I am and partially why. And what would I do if a red lantern found me her alone. That be worse than going with you guys."

Hal then said "I'd feel better if you stayed on the ship Roxana but your right, if a red lantern found the ship then you be in worse danger. Best you come with us." Roxana nodded at that. Razer looked slightly frightened. Aya then said "It will take us a whole day to reach our destination." Kilowog then asked "What, why so long?" Aya replied with "We must take a longer route towards the planets sector of space for there are numerous pinhole on the way to it."

Hal then said "Guess that gives us time to find out where we're heading and what our plan should be." Kilowog then said "And time for me to teach Roxana a few moves in case she gets in any trouble." Roxana then said "In that case I better get my staff." As she walked out of the room Razer fallowed her.

As he left Kilowog asked "Where's he going." Hal then said "Probably wants to change her mind." At this Aya began to think. Razer and Roxana had been spending much time together and she wondered what it meant.

As Razer went to catch up with Roxana he knew fighting with her about going was pointless, if they got in trouble she would go out on her own and help. Just like back at the prison. He caught up to her, turned her around as he held her arms, but not harshly, as he looked her in the eyes and said "Roxana listen to me. When we get off the ship I want you to stick with me at all times. Or with one of the others. Don't you dare move if I tell you to stay somewhere. I, I couldn't help it if someone I knew was killed by them again."

Roxana at first was upset and was going to yell at him but when she heard the end of his speech she understood. This was about Ilana again and she put a hand to his arm and said "Razer calm down. I'll stay near you and the others. If you tell me to stay I'll listen but only if it means there isn't something important out there for me to do. Remember the type of person that I am?" Razor let her go and nodded. He knew the type of person that she was, and for some reason that worried him, especially for what was to come.

Roxana then suddenly got out of his arm but held his hands as she said "Razer know that I care about you too. So take care of yourself out there." At this Razers eyes widened and before he could say more she left to get her staff. At that Razer decided he needed to be alone for a bit and headed to his own room.

Back at the control center Aya went up to Hal and started to speak "Green lantern Hal Jordan. I must speak with you about something." He looked to her and said "Sure Aya, shoot." She was confused by the term but figured it was just an expression. Kilowog looked over in interest as she began to explained "Roxana and Razer seem to be acting strange with each other." Hal raised a brow and said "What kind of strange?" She then said "They appear to be reserved, yet kindly to each other. They also seem to be spending more time together."

Hal smiled and said "That's normal Aya. I think they're just starting to show emotions for each other." Kilowog then said surprised "Razer and Roxana. Hal are you crazy?" Hal then said "Hey I know it's a bit strange but after a while I noticed that they've been acting like to adults who like each other but haven't realized it yet."

"What about their vitals, they're hearts tend to speed up by a fraction but other than that I am unsure how to explain their conditions." Hal chuckled and said "It's just hormones Aya. It's completely normal." Aya was confused and wanted to ask about it, she knew about hormones but did not understand how they played into this. Kilowog then said "Look Aya emotions are strange things to explain. Especially love. Remember how I felt about Galia."

Aya nodded and then replied "So if Razer was to lose Roxana it would hurt him." The two stood silent at that, they hadn't thought of that. How would Razor react if he was to lose someone? then they thought back to something that happened on Mogo. Razer acted like Roxana was someone else, and the more they thought about it the more they understood that it was someone he had lost somehow. They would have to ask him about it sometime but all they could do was just answer Aya's questions.

Uknown to them that she was hearing Razer and Roxana's conversation. Kilowog then said "If he really does like her like that Aya. Then yeah, it'll hurt, reel bad." With this Aya somewhat had a thoughtful look on her face. Not long after Roxana walked in and said "Hey guys I'm ready to train." Kilowog smiled as he said "Let's see what you got kid." And with that they headed into the larger room as Hal said "This should be interesting. Hey Aya try to look up whatever you can on the planet we're heading too." Aya nodded at that and began to do so as she fallowed, but as she did she also began to do some other research.

Roxana stood in the middle of the room as Kilowog walked back in forth in his sergeant mode as he said "Okay kid your about to go head to head with your first reds. Now they ain't no push overs and the guys you've faced are nothing compared to this. I'm going to be teaching you some basic hand to hand combat training and I ain't going to be going gentle on you either got it."

"Yes sir!" she said loudly like she had seen on TV. "That's what I like to hear. Hal bring out the dummy." Hal brought out a hard plush dummy that floated using the same tech as their rings and Kilowog said "Now I should only have to show you this once. Engage" He grabbed hold of the dummy. "Lock." He put it in a head lock. "And throw." He then threw it and it almost caused a hole in the wall "Kilowog!" Hal reprimanded but he had the decency to look sheepish and said "Oops."

On Mogo Saint Walker was looking around the peaceful planet as he said "Ah it looks like a good day my friend." "It does." Walker then said "Still I do not understand why you did not let me go and help our friends when they visited. I know you and Aya were able to defeat that monster but….." "You have your own training." "Yes you keep trying to train me for something. What I do not know though. Do you believe me to be a green lantern? Because like I told our angry friend, I walk a different path." "You still have potential."

Saint Walker smiled at his friend's words, suddenly he heard something it was the prisoners and they were speaking of, a red lantern message, saying they were coming for these two but Bartoo said "Well maybe they can give me a ride, sure they appreciate my help. Especially with how I want my pay back." He crushed a rock in his hand and the other two smiled at that.

Saint Walker looked the other way and then said "Mogo after my planet was devastated by the red lanterns. You pulled me from my blackest night, you called me here, to you." Mogo replied with "I did." It turned out Mogo had telepathic abilities. "In my dream the other night you said I find a beacon of hope for the galaxy, someone who would stop the red lanterns from doing what they did to my people. And so many others."

"I did." "Are you sure the hero isn't you wise one. I would willingly help you." "I am not." "You are a planet of few words and I quite like how mysterious you can but I now ask a direct question. Who is this hero and where do I find him or her?" Mogo shook and then then Saint Walker saw the mountain and he said "Climb." So that is where he headed. Saint Walker not knowing that Mogo could sense the blue battery was coming near his atmosphere since last night.

Back on the ship they had gotten the dummy back in place and Kilowog said "So you remember what I taught you." "Yeah I think I get it." Roxana replied. "Okay then. Go!" Roxana rushed to the dummy grabbing it, though it was a bit hard since her arms could not go all the way around the torso, but she managed to bring it down, headlock it and then, well the throw was a fail as it was too heavy for her.

Kilowog was going to yell but Hal aid "Okay so throwing isn't the best idea let's try other tactics with it." Roxana thought for a bit and said "I think I have an idea. Put it up for me?" Hal did as asked but Kilowog looked confused and Aya looked interested. Once it was up Hal said "Okay now." "Argh!" Hal jumped out of the way as Roxana ran at the dummy and then pounced on it like a wild animal making it fall to the floor, she then did the head lock and finely slammed the head on the floor. They all flinched at that but Hal said "A bit, harsh, but it worked."

Kilowog then said "We usually don't try that kind of fighting style but since you can't do the basic stuff, or have a ring to give you a boost, I'll have to let you do what you can. Okay how about we do some blocks. Hal go up and…." "No way man. I am not fighting her. Too much of a gentle man to fight a girl who isn't trying to kill me." Kilowog growled but said "Fine. Aya you go then. You need the training."

Aya nodded as she come up and started to try and hit Roxana, to their surprise she had decent blocking skills, able to block most of the hits. Hal asked "Nice where you learned to do that." "Not sure I realized I could do this since I was young but I didn't realize till I was fully grown after playing a game that involved accurate hitting that I could do that." Kilowog then said "Oka then rookie. So what do you do when you feel you can't handle it anymore. Aya get her." Roxan responded by grabbing aya by the arm and then flipping her. "Get them off guard."

Kilowog looked shocked as Hal laughed and then Roxana let go of Aya and said "Sorry for going harsh on you. I got a bit of a survivel style to my fighting." "I can see that. You seem to have a mix of animalistic hunting styles and somewhat of martial artist or wrestling." Roxana blushed as she said "Yeah I like animals so I learned allot from documentaries and too many actions movies will do that to you." Hal calmed down as he said "So you can observe and mimic." "Not exactly it has to be something that I like and well the rest just comes I suppose."

Hal nodded as he said "Well looks like we have that down. Let's try some other stuff. How about psychological attacks." "Isn't that intimidation, or sometimes finding their weakness and using it against them." Kilowog threw his arms up as he asked "Why am I even here." Roxan and Hal both laughed at that and Aya began to think on her own little project.
