A/N: Here we go yo, here we go yo, so what's so what's the scenario?!

Ok so this is chapter 4 of my funky story. As I promised, I have made a weekly update. So enjoy!

It had been a few months since she had agreed. She would now be pulled out of her cell to train every day. They seemed to have put some sort of super-serum into her body, enhancing her strength and abilities to a maximum. They said it was to improve her 'abilities', and because she had no choice, she complied.

Turns out, HYDRA treats their prisoners just like their agents. Harshly. Brutally. Charlotte hated every second of it, and hoped Steve and Bucky were somewhere else, someplace safe.

It was really rough. But a few months later, they dragged a guy in, his left arm missing, his face not visible and pained moans coming from him. She didn't know who he was, but all the scientists seemed awfully happy about him being there.

After that, her memories were vague as she was dragged to a tank. She had screamed and kicked, but they secured her in anyway.

The last thing she remembers was feeling freezing cold as frost came around her. Then everything went black.

I have no idea how it had happened. I have been out in the city for four years now, and so far everything seemed to be going well. At least, nobody had noticed yet who I am, or what I'm capable of.

Until those little shits came along.

I was going outside for a usual walk in the park, trying to clear my head when it got too foggy in my small, crappy apartment. That's when I noticed some shady businessmen following me. I was wondering why I saw them everywhere I walked.

Then, a redheaded woman came up to me with the two men, while I was sitting on a park bench.

"Miss Jaines."

I looked up, obviously confused about how they knew my last name. I didn't even know these strangers and here they were, trying to casually call me up with my last name that hasn't been used for basically seventy years.

"I'm agent Romanoff, S.H.I.E.L.D. We've been tracking you for the past few months.

Shit.

So they've been tracking me.

"And do tell," I ask, slight anger in my voice. "Why have you been doing so?"

The redhead smirked at me.

"We're here to escort you to S.H.I.E.L.D for your abilities," she replied, her voice monotone and keeping her from expressing any emotions.

My gut dropped. Some people were here to take me again. I was NOT going through hell for another time. I had already been there, and it wasn't fun.

"I'm sorry," I say, mock kindness in my voice. "But that's not happening."

"Unfortunately, it will."

That's when I basically lost it. I swiped my feet to kick her down, doing so successfully, and run.

I'm not going to that hellhole of HYDRA again.

The agents and redhead were now running after me. Unfortunately for them, my super serum would give me a definite advantage, and I dashed off like a madwoman.

Some more businessmen were shouting now, and more people started running after me. I almost wanted to slide a vibranium dagger in every single one of them. But my goal was to keep unnoticed and NOT get credited for assassinating at least 20 people around me.

As I ran, I saw more agents ahead of me. They shot at me and I barely managed to shield myself, but I went tripping. I hit the concrete ground and try not to groan.

The agents finally caught up with me.

Crap crap crap.

The redhead stood above me, a red mark on her perfect shins. The other agents tied my wrists behind my back and I glared daggers into every single one of them as I struggled with trying not to actually throw daggers into them.

"I'm sorry that little fiasco had to happen," the redhead said coolly. "But you'll have to come with us now."

I almost threw up on the agent's pretty shirt. But I didn't. Instead, tears began stinging my eyes.

No no no. This can't be happening again.

The woman led me to the car, two agents standing guard behind me in case I lashed out. I was seated into the small seat of a van and it began driving.

"I won't go down so easily this time," I muttered. I had barely realised I had said it out loud when the woman gave me a questioning glance.

"What - Wait. I'm not supposed to debrief you until we arrive."

I sat silently, making sure my eyes were shut now. Hopefully they hadn't noticed.

When I suddenly heard a voice next to me, I flinched slightly.

"Are you blind?"

It was the redhead again.

"No." That was my simple answer. I wouldn't give them anything else.

"Then why are you shutting your eyes?"

I couldn't show them. I couldn't show them my eyes. They'd probably be scared shitless.

I shook my head and kept my eyes shut, although it gave me the slight disadvantage of not knowing where we are. Maybe if we get there, I could show them my eyes then run away.

Too bad my eyes made me the most identifiable person in the world.

After several minutes of deafening silence, the woman announced, "We're here."

I slightly peeled my eyes open. I could only see a grey garage, so that information would be pretty useless.

I let myself be guided by the agents now, figuring I'd find some way to escape later. For now my trademark eyes should probably stay shut.

Instinctively, I brushed a caramel strand of wavy long hair out of my face.

Several turns left and right later, I was led into some room. I heard the door shut behind me and figured that this wouldn't be easy.

Carefully, I pried my eyes open to have a look around my surroundings. But I still made sure my eyes weren't open enough.

It was a white, sterile room. A small bed was in it, two wooden bedside tables next to it. Another room led into the bathroom, but the sight amazed me the most.

Outside of the window, I could see the Potomac river. It was a beautiful sight. Too bad it was HYDRA's headquarters.

Seeing I had nothing else to do, I plonked down onto the soft bed and stared out my window, but narrowing my eyes a bit.

All of a sudden, the door opened again and the redhead walked in. I pinched my eyes shut again and straightened up.

"So," she said casually. "Let's start this again. I'm Natasha Romanoff, but you can call me Natasha."

I nodded silently to make sure she knew I acknowledged that she had spoken.

"Either way, we know a lot about you, Miss Jaines. We've been looking for you for a long time now."

"Of course you have," my quiet reply escaped my lips.

"I beg your pardon?"

"You're HYDRA, aren't you?"

I didn't need to open my eyes to be able to tell that Natasha was disgusted at my reply.

"No. We're S.H.I.E.L.D, a government agency. We're the good guys."

My tensed shoulders relaxed slightly. I was still off HYDRA's radar.

"Ok..."

"We have been tracking you because of your abilities. They're truly extraordinary, and a lot of people are after you because of that."

Including HYDRA.

"Can I trust you?" I asked hoarsely.

"If I know who you are, Charlotte Jaines, then I'm certain you can."

"Good." That was the only reply I needed.

I opened my eyes and stared at Natasha.

Ok, yeah, I sorta left it as a cliffhanger here, and you'll have to wait till I update again, but keep tuned!
