Big Brother.
Request from Rankochi: No Problem Scarlet, wasn't sure anymore. I lost count of all the chapters somehow. xD So glad you feel better :) Then, I would like Eddie's first reaction about becoming a big brother, please. :D
Edward peered over the edge of the crib looking down at the baby, his mother had explained to him he was now a big brother. He questioned that slightly when his mum explained to him that he had a baby sister, Edward made the argument of he didn't want a baby sister.
His mother rolled her eyes a habit he had noticed her do for years, it was something she did when he assumed Dad had made a stupid comment, "Eddie… this is Portgas D. Umiko, this is your baby sister."
Edward felt strange as he looked down at bright silver eyes, just like his and his mums, Dad and Papa always said to him they loved their eyes so bright and full of wonder. Edward cocked his head looking down at his baby sister, he could see what they meant now his sisters eyes locked onto his and he felt something that he had never felt before…. Think mum explained the feeling as pride.
"Can I hold her?" Edward questioned his mother.
Megumi glanced around not seeing Marco who would most likely come up with the reasons why it might not be a good idea, but still allow the boy to do it. "Sit on the bed against the pillows," His mother told him.
Edward grinned widely at his mother as he hoped back onto the bed and scooted back towards the pillows, he looked awe struck as his baby sister was laid in his arms. "Why is she so small?" He asked looking up at his mother who took the seat next to him.
"You were once that size you know," She smiled widely down at him, "When you were born you were so tiny Papa was scared of holding you at first you were so small."
"Papa… Scared….?" He questioned.
"Your Papa and I were in a difficult situation we were worried," She smiled kissing his temple, "What do you think of your little sister?"
"She's so pretty just like you mummy," He grinned widely at her.
Megumi giggles stroking back the black locks, "You know what Big brothers are for don't you."
"Erm…. To look after and protect their younger siblings?" He questioned not a hundred percent sure if that was the right answer but he always heard Dad talking about how he has to protect Uncle Luffy.
"Yep, because if something ever happens to me, Daddy or Papa, you need to look out for Umiko and she will do the same for you," Megumi whispered to him, "We aren't going to go anywhere before you get yourself in a silly panic."
Edward pouted before looking down at Umiko, "Can I have another brother or sister…"
Megumi sat in silence slightly stunned remembering the temper tantrum he had a few months ago when she had explained to him that he will have another sibling, "Maybe one day sweetie… but remember you have your cousins as well…"
Edward smiled brightly down at his baby sister, if they were all going to be like her Edward wanted a million siblings.
AN: Sorry for the delay on this my health took a 180 turn and had to go home from work yesterday and had today off as well… but you have had two chapters of whitebeard siren over the last three days and I have got through the most recent chapter quickly. To be honest I have as well but I remember doing it for the reason she met him after Ace got them lost.
