Edward groaned as he sat up in his bed looking at the clock, the numbers read 4:30 am he groaned rubbing his temples the ten year old was wide awake. He could hear small amount of movements outside his bedroom door and up on the deck. He only could seem to sleep for a few hours during the night then be wide awake and sleep a lot throughout the day. Thinking of it, he knew his daddy did it as well. The ten year old glanced over at the bed next to him to see his six year old little sister was curled up under her blue covers.

He slowly slipped out of the bed and padded across the bedroom and opened the door before softly slipping out of his bedroom, "Edward," The boy froze as the bedroom door shut behind him, he turned to see his mother standing at the other end of the corridor, "Sweety you are meant to be asleep."

"I can't sleep," He mumbled.

His mothers soft hand ran through his messy black hair, "Only sleep a few hours at night and nearly all day?" She asked.

He nodded gently wrapping his arms round his mothers waist and burying his face into the oversized t-shirt, "Is that normal mum?"

"Oh darling," His mothers gentle voice floated past his ears, "You get it from your father he has it as well."

"Really?" Edward questioned.

Megumi knelt down so she was eye level with her son, "Yes you've seen daddy fall asleep in the middle of eating it's because he doesn't sleep much at night either."

"So I'm not weird?"

"Now were ever would you get that idea from?" She asked.

"Well Umiko doesn't do it…"

"Remember how we told you that even though Daddy and Papa are both your parents but you are only really related to one of them?" She questioned him, Edward nodded his head, "That's why because Papa doesn't have the sleeping problem but Daddy does…. Do you want to come sleep in Mummy's bed tonight?"

Edward nodded and felt warm as his mother smiled brightly down at him as she took his hand, his parents room was just a few doors down from his and Umiko's room. Megumi pushed the door open slightly seeing that Ace was still fast asleep on his side of the bed and Marco was still up on the deck, Edward looked up seeing his mothers finger was pressed to her lip.

Edward got up onto the bed and scooted across laying down next to his Daddy, whilst his mum slipped in next to him wrapping her arms around him, she whispered softly to him, "try get some more sleep ok baby," He nodded his head and rested his head against his mothers chest.

The siren stayed up for a while longer running her fingers through his hair, it took a while but after an hour or two Edward was again fast asleep.

"Narcolepsy, yoi?" Marco whispered to her nearly making the woman jump, she nodded her head to the Phoenix and Marco sighed kissing the top of Edwards head, "Well he defiantly is his fathers son."

AN: Edward is so damn adorable I love how I've put him, I hope this was ok I'm not a hundred percent sure what to do with this one.
