I Got You

Chapter 8

Peter and I didn't want to wait to get married.

We both knew that life was too short.

We dropped the kids off at their schools and headed to the courthouse.

We called Jasper and Alice along the way to be our witnesses and I thought Alice was going to have a coronary.

It was simple and perfect.

Alice declared we had to have a dinner and called the lodge last minute for that evening.

Peter and I went home leaving Alice to her devices, she volunteered Jasper to pick up the boys and have us meet everyone at the lodge at 6pm.

We made love all afternoon and just enjoyed the quiet.

"You know, we didn't think this through very well. We still have our place and you only have one extra room, what if we've added another?" Peter asked.

"Hmmmm… We can meet with some builders, see if we can add on. If not we'll have to buy something else." I kissed down his chest.

"I don't want you to have to sell your father's home." He sighed.

"So, I won't. I can rent it out or something." I smiled. "Why don't we just live here temporarily while we look for something new." I shrugged.

"Damn you're amazing." He kissed me softly and we agreed it was time to shower.

Arriving almost 25 minutes late for our dinner had Alice all snippy.

"I can't believe you're late!" she growled at us.

"We're newlyweds, what do you expect?" Peter laughed at her.

"To the newlyweds!" Jasper shouted.

"Baby, I just want you to be happy and have a fulfilled life." My mom hugged me.

"I will and I am, promise. He's my forever." I hugged her back.

We had a great time with everyone that night and Alice and Jasper again agreed they'd keep the boys so we could have some alone time.

We ended up spending most of the night looking at houses on line and figuring what we really wanted in one. We bookmarked a few and we'd call on them in the morning, but for now we concentrated on being together as man and wife and adding a little one to our brood.

"I love you Bella." Peter whispered before we fell asleep.
