But Eddie can do it?

Request from Rankochi: New idea coming up, how about little Umiko getting really annoyed with her daddy because he always tells her she can't do the same things as Eddie because she's a girl?

Umiko watched her older brother climb the riggings of the Moby Dick. Her thirteen year old brother was being shown by Joz how to make sure the rigging was secure. Edward wanted to beat Uncle Luffy and become the next King of the Pirates.

"Mummy?" Umiko questioned her mother.

"What is it darling?" Her mother asked breaking her conversation with Izo.

"Can Uncle Joz teach me as well?"

"Well I think if we ask Uncle Joz very nicely..."

"Absoutley not!"

"Ace," Her mother scolded her Daddy.

"I do not want my daughter climbing the rigging what if a storm hits!"

"But Eddie..." Umiko whined.

"No Edward is a grown up you are still a child," Ace stated.

Megumi and Izo sighed as they looked at each other. Umiko whimpered slightly her bottom lip stuck out and her eyes watered, "I HATE YOU!"

"Now look what you've done," Megumi snapped at Ace as she watched Umiko run down onto the lower decks.

"What did I do?" He asked slightly confused.

"Umi, sweetheart," She heard her mother call for her.

"Go away," Megumi rolled her eyes listening to her daughter sulk.

"Umi, Daddy is just over protective," Megumi sighed.

"It's not fair I want to train like Eddie," Umiko argued through the door.

"How about this... Mummy and Papa will tell everyone to ignore Daddy and train you if you want to be train... That ok?"

Megumi turned her head smiling as the door opened, "Really?"

Megumi smiled at Umiko, "Of course sweetheart."

The next day Joz chuckled as he watched Umiko work at the rope tying it perfectly. "Ok now we will..."Joz started.

"What on EARTH!" They both hear Ace shout from the deck below, "UMIKO GET DOWN FROM THERE!"

"Continue Uncle Joz,"Umiko stated ignoring her Daddy, Joz chuckled she sounded exactly like her mother doing that when she was ignoring Ace.

"DO NOT IGNORE ME YOUNG MISSY!" Ace yelled, "OW!"

Umiko looked down seeing her mother standing next to her daddy eyebrow raised hands on hip, the classic position meaning Dad was in a lot of trouble if he didn't start explaining himself now, "Explain?"

"It's dangerous!" Ace yelled.

Joz rolled his eyes remembering the safety precautions Megumi asked him to take with both children to make sure they didn't fall off the Moby Dick and into the sea below, "Don't you think I know that, why do you think I have asked for the safety net to be put back up?"

"But…. But…."

"Yes Ace," Umiko could tell her mother wasn't in the mood for her daddys stupid ideas today, "Is it because you believe your little girl shouldn't be training to become a pirate and take after the steps of her parents? In my books no matter what age is Edward starts to learn something Umiko has the right if she wants to, to learn it to."

Umiko could see the steam raising from her fathers head, "You can't just…"

"Oh I believe I can," Megumi smiled sweetly, "Captains orders."

"MARCO YOU TRAITOR!"
