"What is this for again?" Ace asked looking down at the wires that where connected to his arm before he looked back at the nurse in question. He trusted Crystal with his life, she was the woman that help brought his son into the world why wouldn't he trust her.

"Just a little experiment," Crystal smiled softly as she hooked Marco up as well, "Wanting to test how people react to certain types of pain… well Men reacting to womans pain basically."

"Is this cause of my comment to Megumi going oh Childbirth can't be that bad?" Ace asked her as he watched her fiddle about with the machine slightly.

"Of course not," Crystal grinned at him.

Ace knew it was a lie, of course it was a lie Ace wasn't there when Edward was born which honestly wasn't entirely his fault so he didn't know how Marco had got roped into this actually. He looked over at the Phoenix who only shrugged in reply and leant back in the chair he was sitting in.

"Think of it this way, I have healing flames to protect me, you on the other hand don't, yoi," Marco smirked at him.

Ace suddenly regretted every mean thing he said, gesture or prank he had ever played on Megumi and wished he could take it back, Marco had told him that Megumi was in labour for a few good hours before Edward was born and she was constantly crying in pain that she wanted the pain to stop.

"Ok you both ready?" Crystal wanted to give them a little bit of preparation before she turned the switch on.

"No," Ace answered and Marco just shrugged.

"Good," She smiled brightly and hit the on button.

Ace felt a warm tingling up his spine and commented, "Oh this doesn't feel so bad, don't know what… OH HOLY HELL!" He grunted as he felt pain like no other shot up his back and he doubled over clutching his stomach, "WHAT THE HELL!"

"It's the sensation of which the lower half of your body is stretching to basically push a watermelon out of you," Crystal answered as she took down notes of the reaction, smiling at the Phoenix who had burst into blue healing flames. Though the healing flames didn't completely protect him from the pain, she watched as he flinched every now and again.

Ace didn't understand how a woman could go through this especially one as small and fragile as Megumi was able to go completely though this pain without breaking in half. "ALRIGHT! ALRIGHT!" Ace yelled tears of pain rolling down his cheeks, "I take it back, never ever again will I call her weak I swear."

"Promise," It was Megumi's voice in front of him.

Ace nodded his head groaning in pain feeling another wave of pain hit him harshly, "NEVER EVER AGAIN!" Came his shout in reply.

"Go on Crystal turn it off," Megumi smiled brightly at the nurse.

Once the pain stopped Ace threw himself at Megumi exhausted, "Thank you."
