It was just meant to be a simple walk out across the meadows just the two of them since Ace had met up with Sabo. Marco and Megumi decided to go out just the two of them leaving the brothers to bond.

They weren't expecting to be surrounded by Marines all with guns pointed towards them, "Marco 'Phoenix' and Akiyama 'Siren' Megumi you are under arrest for opposing the World Government."

"Oh come now," Megumi laughed softly gentle smile across her face, when will you boys learn.

"This is your final warning," The marine stated.

Blue flames brushed up against her cheek, "We aren't going anywhere with any of you," Marco stated.

The sound of gun fire sounded around them and Megumi felt Marcos hand push her down onto the ground. She listened to him grunt slightly in pain, but no sound of flames coming to life afterwards.

"Cheap trick you bastards," Marco grunted his hand pressed against his bleeding shoulder.

"Voice-Voice Sonic Wave," Megumi called out slamming her hands into the floor sonic sound waves knocked the marines backwards, "Marco..." She turned to him grabbing hold of him as he fell, "Oh god..." he got hit twice once in the shoulder and once in the leg, "Marco listen to my voice love can you hear me."

His words were slurred slightly and his eyes were unfocused, poison she had read in the papers that the marines had started to lace their bullets with a slow acting paralysing poison.

Megumi look around her heart relate elevated as she watched the Marines stumble back up on to their feet. Marco grumbled something again reaching out towards her.

"Don't even think about it," A familiar voice sounded in her ears and she felt blazing heat brush past her and the sizzling of fire balls sounded clearly in her ears. Megumi placed pressure onto his wound flashbacks of doing this to Thatch flashed in her mind as she tried to stop the bleeding.

Sounds of the marines screaming in pain rang through the air, " YEAH AND DONT COME BACK YOU SCUM!" Ace shouted at them dropping down onto his knees next to her.

"Ace..." She whispered not taking her eyes away from his paling face.

"Its alright love," Ace smiled at her, "This poison wont kill him for at least a day before the poison can even do any proper harm."

Ace shifted slightly slipping his arms under Marco, "I'm going to need you to run ahead love make sure there's no more marines waiting for us," Ace ordered her.

"But..."

"Megumi we don't have the time for this," Ace snapped as he lifted Marco up into his arms.

"Understood," She muttered as she dashed off in the direction of the Moby Dick.

Her mind was only on Marco there was no way this could be happening, the marines had ambushed them and now Marco was bleeding out across Aces arms. Getting him to the Moby Dick then taking revenge on the marines here was her next plan of action.

AN: YAY! We can be morbid together lol. Megumi is extremely protective of the kids never wanting them to have the life she had she will let them run free but there is always atleast two sets of eyes on them at all time lol.
