Magic

Request from Alana33: I'll think of a new prompt. Maybe something about magic? I feel like we are missing a bit of magic elements here. Maybe I'm too influenced by the anime Magi :P

Megumi sighed as she twirled her fingers above her head, watching the feathers dance around her head. Her purple robes fitted tightly around her, some reason mages were only allowed to wear robes. With a click of the feathers around her head fell to back onto the desk in front of her. She turned her head back to the rose bud in front of her, she loved learning nature magic but everything she tried to make the rose grow it was just not happening.

"Megumi," A cheerful voice sounded next to her before lips pressed against her cheek she turned her head looking at the top of combat magic class, "Hows my favourite healing mage."

"Arguing with my nature magic class," She stated.

She twirled her hand in front of the rose bud it slowly started to bloom before it shut completely tight, "Just no matter what I do, it doesn't matter."

"Maybe because the wrist movement is wrong, yoi," A familar voice sounded behind them.

"Marco?" They both turned and questioned looking at their senior, Marco was on of the instructors for healing magic.

Marco stepped up behind him and pressed himself against her back his had brushed along her arm and took her wrist softly whispering in her, "You don't move your wrist, the wrist movement is for poisonous flowers."

She twirled her fingers and she smiled softly as she watched the flower bloom into a beautiful red rose. "Oh wow..." She whispered softly.

"Why are you doing this anyway?" Ace asked.

"I am bored nothing else to do," She replied.

Marco stood behind them both dressed in dark blue robes with golden trim, "Go for a walk round the city..." He told them.

Megumi clicked her fingers again and the feather stood up with the twisting movements of her fingers the pen started to scratch into the note book that stood next to the flower pot, "No thank you... You know they don't like mages."

"Not our fault," Ace sighed.

"No its the... Mmmph," Megumis last words were muffled.

"Ears every were," Marco whispered into her ear gently.

Ace grinned widely and went, "Wanna see my new trick," his finger came alight.

"NO!" they both yelled, Megumi grabbing hold of the potted plant not wanting this to all go to waste. Remembering the last time he found a new trick with his fire magic, it took weeks to fix the laboratory from his last brilliant brand new trick.

Ace pouted not looking impressed that he was told he wasn't allowed to do something as he slipped into the chair next to the girl, "Then what do we do?" He asked looking between the two.

Megumi smiled softly and leant forward placing a finger tip under his chin, tipping his head back slightly to look deep into her silver eyes. "Well..." He felt a cooling sensation through his body making him relax slightly, "Magic goes well... In many places."

Aces eyes snapped open wide looking at her in surprise never in his life would he think that miss innocent who blushed at him because he kept his robes open would suggest taking magical practice into the bedroom.

"Well if that's what you want... Though... You know we will be breaking the rules...?" He questioned her thinking she was joking.

She stood her purple robes seemed to twirl around her and slipped her hand into Marcos before walking out the library head held high, Ace nearly fell out his chair when he realised she was serious.

AN: (places you in bucket so you don't melt through the floorboards) Yeah there are a lot of oine shots lol, I hope this was ok I based it off the book I'm reading at the moment the Magicians Guild by Trudi Canavan. It was the first thought of one to do that came into my head, I like writing slightly dark stuff for my English A level course work I wrote about suicide well a story about it and I got an B+ on it, I think that one had dark undertones but not a lot.
