Assassin

Request from XxFire-PhoenixxX: I'm glad that I made you happy, Scarlet-san! Please make one where Marco is an assassin and was trying to kill Megumi and Ace, please set this in Modern AU! I was planning this for my story, but it doesn't seem to fit, knowing that the little version of Marco has no intent on really killing them for wrath or money.

Marco sighed as he leant back in his chair looking at the photos in front of him, a beautiful pink haired woman looked up at him with bright silver eyes and the other photo was of an equally handsome man with black hair and brown eyes.

Akiyama Megumi and Portgas D. Ace are set to marry in two months, Akiyama is an heiress to the Akiyama Diamonds mine whilst Portgas was the son of a well known activist against the world government .

Akiyama was a lawyer of her own firm working in law whilst Portgas was a fire fighter, Marco groaned as he slammed the pictures down sending papers up in the air. Bills, photos, letters, notes went all across the room. He hated this he had fallen for these two but the money he was getting paid for these two... He had a time limit before the wedding that's it. She was meant to marry an army general but ran off with Ace. It was a fairy tale in Marcos mind, but know her parents are the ones that want her dead all because she refused to marry him.

He had tracked them for months know days before their wedding he sat back and looked over everything he saw, they were good people went to church on Sundays, helped out in the community and everyone around them loved them.

Days later Marco stood at the end of their bed, knife in hand watching them both as they slept. She was tucked into his side, Aces arm wrapped around her and his head rested on top of her head, Marco stood still not understanding why the parents want such a perfect couple killed.

He couldn't do it, he might be an assassin but god damn it he had some morals how could he kill them. He watched Ace save a child from a burning building, won a court case for a woman who had been raped. They were just perfect, he sighed he was going to lose big money for this as he placed the knife back in his pocket. He left the way he came in through the bay doors to their bedroom.

The door clicked shut behind him and Megumi threw herself up in her bed and her fingers traced her neck. She felt it... Someone had been in this room someone was watching her as she slept. It was the same eyes she had felt on her for the last few weeks it was stupid she thought she was going mad.

On the walk homes, the eyes followed her every movement the court case and… she heard the groaning next to her and smiled seeing Ace fidgeting in his sleep, he turned over onto his back his arm lying flat out on the bed behind her. She smiled softly, he was perfect no matter what her parents say he is the perfect man for her.

Marco stood in front of the fire place in his apartment throwing everything he found about the couple into the burning flames, no one can know about what he was planning to do.
