I want to be a marine part 2.

Request from Rankochi: Well, given that permission was granted, how about a sequel to Umiko's dream to become a marine? How about her application at Marine HQ or her first day at work?

Umiko looked at the admiral across from her as she stood dressed in Marine clothes, Admiral Coby smiled at her. "Everything ok Miss Monkey?" he asked her.

Great Grandfather Garp suggested that maybe not using her parents names might not be good. Many people died in the after mast of the war of the best because of Teach and many other pirates so the marine families hated all types of pirates.

Umiko bit her lip and shuffled her feet slightly, "I have a feeling I'm in trouble for something," She laughed slightly.

"You are a good Marine Umiko," Coby smiled at her.

Her father explained about Cobys bravery in the war, though being an admiral her uncles didn't seem bothered by the boy, "I know of your heritage Miss Umiko."

"What?"She asked her eyes shot open wide.

"You don't have to worry, not many of the Higher ranked Marines care of blood anymore but... Because of that I would like to offer you a position in my squad."

"But sir I only..."

"You are top of strategy and information class, you are doing well with all your classes, Fleet Admiral Smoker is happy to let you skip the entire year of training... Anyway your great grandfather Garp did the same with with me and rear admiral Helmeppo."

Umiko was beyond stunned, never in her life did she think she would be allowed a marine she meant god. Her Uncle was the King of the Pirates, her mother was one the most wanted woman in the world, her grandfather was the first pirate king. She thought that would set millions of alarm bells ringing saying that she should not be allowed to be a marine.

"Seriously?" She questioned thinking the man wad joking.

"Of course, actually its the Monkey side of the family you have to thank... Your Uncle helped me become a marine and your grandfather helped train me, like he did with you I see," Coby chuckled.

Umiko blinked a few times in surprise knowing her Uncle had friends every were but a Marine well expect Grandpa Garp but hell he's family that doesn't count.

Coby grinned at the young girl seeing her potential unlike the world government who never saw her mother anything more as a tools has become one the most feared woman on the sea.

"You know one day you might have to fight your brother?" Coby asked.

Umiko smiled softly thinking of all the newspaper reports recently about her brother, he was becoming just like Uncle Luffy taking out the top three in the East Blue and was on his way to the first half of the grandline.

Coby watched her silently remembering through Garp that it is difficult to fight family that it was not fair on family to force them to fight one another it was wrong.

"I look forward to beating my big brother to a pulp," Came her reply.

Coby chuckled large grin across his face, "That's what we like to hear."

AN:I thought about it and thought about people wanting Coby to play a more important role in the future, thinking hes still in debt to Luffy taking is niece under his wings is the best way to start. Oh permission is always their sweet heart. I try, I have time on the way in and out of work along with my lunch break to write so yeah this one was finished at work that's why it's up now.
