That's not sugar

Request from Chibimanga: Megumi tries to kitchen... and Ace and Marco are testing (let's have mistake between sugar and piment..) Yes, I' m a kid. My friends have already told me. Sorry for the biography I left and thanks you for everything x)

Megumi bit her lip looking at the cooking book in front of her, she was good in the kitchen not to toot her own horn she can cook well. Bur baking... Never seemed to agree with her but she promised she will try to bake something for Luffys birthday.

She didn't understand why she just couldn't cook some of his favourite dishes for him, but no Luffy wanted to try one of her cakes she tried to argue the last time she baked was in cooking lessons about six years ago but her partners younger brother insisted.

She cracked the placed the flour and sugar into a bowl, well what she thought was the sugar, cracking the eggs flooding it into the mixture then the butter adding a bit of milk and water then whisked until smooth. Like any good chef she took a spoonful of the mixture and tried it. She made a weird sound of disgust as she tasted the mixture in front of her, it didn't tasted right.

She shrugged slightly admitting not making a cake for years, always asking Sanji to do it for her and the chef from Baraties was always pleased to help a beautiful with her problems. Placing the mixture in the tin she placed it in the oven and went to work on the frosting, she was slightly glad this was just the test cake and the real one wasn't to be made until next Friday the night before Luffys birthday.

Ace came home later than usual and flopped down onto the sofa, he smelt the air and something didn't smell right he could smell the cake but a salty smell was with it as well. "MEGUMI!" He yelled out and heard a crash and a lot of swearing from the kitchen.

She only swore this much when something wasn't agreeing with her, aka in this instance she was arguing with the whisk because it just threw icing sugar all over her. Marco was the one who was brave to step into the kitchen as he finally left his office, locking himself up in their the moment he started to hear clattering within the kitchen.

"Megumi… what the hell, yoi?" He asked her looking at the pink haired woman who was covered from head to two in white dust.

"I HATE BAKING!" She suddenly yelled and kicked the cupboard.

Both men stood in the doorway chuckling at the woman, she turned to look at them eyebrow raised and hands on hips. Purple frilly apron was worn over, jeans and an Alice Cooper t-shirt.

Half an hour later, the three of them stood in the kitchen looking at the cake in front of them, the boys were surprised it actually looked really good. It was a Victoria sponge, with jam and cream filling with butter icing on the top with strawberrys.

Slicing into the cake the insides looked amazing, when they took the first bite on the other hand not so much, "WHY THE HELL DOES IT TASTE OF SALT!"

AN: Poor Megumi, I am the other way round actually I can bake but I can't cook dishes though I am learning I have cooked, shepherds pie, risotto and a few other dishes. I am not sure what piment is and I was on the way to work when I was doing this so I had no signal sorry, so I went with salt if that's ok. No problem at all I like doing requests so I'm glad you enjoyed.

Scarlet.
