Ace sighed as he straighten his tie, he hated owing people favours because it normally ended up with him in these places. He owed Zeff a favour after he broke the old mans window and now he was serving champagne at a high end galas. This one was slightly different a young widow of a Marine Admiral, it was a charity event for children who lost their parents during the war.
He had only seen this woman in newspapers, she was the top woman in society any one who was anyone wanted to be here. He stepped out into the ballroom, serving drinks to many people. His eyes locked onto a tall blonde man who was drop dead gorgeous and an equally beautiful woman. Marco Phoenix was the top paid model in the world, he made more money in a day than Ace knew he would make in his entire life.
Megumi sighed looking around at the people who surrounded her the one percent as society called them, the most richest people in the entire new world was all gathered around her today to through money at a charity to build back up their reputation.
She swirled the wine around in the glass looking bored as she listened to another noble drown on and on about the current gem prices, then she turned her head her nose brushed against a jacket suit and she looked up eyes locking with sparkling blue ones, "Marco," She breathed a sigh of relief.
"How have you been, yoi?" The model asked the heiress holding his arm out for her.
She linked her arm through his bid good day to her guests and walked with him, "Thank you," she sighed as they walked through the ballroom.
"You looked on the verge of throwing your wine at him, I thought it was the best time to intervene," He grinned at her.
Ace couldn't take his eyes off them as they walked through the ballroom they both just seemed to shine with something that he just couldn't place. He turned to serve the glass to the tall woman next to him before a purple man slammed into him sending him to the ground.
Megumi whipped her head around in the direction of the crash listening to Spadman yell loudly, "YOU STUPID FOOL!" Her eyes widened as one the waiters laid on the floor in front of the man broken glass and spilt wine all around him.
"I am so sorry…" The man muttered.
Megumi knew Spadman he was never a man that anyone wanted to be near, he was cruel and just a plain horrible man. She rushed forward stopping Spadman from doing anything that could ruin his reputation more than he had already done, she waved for one the waitresses to take him to one the guest rooms to clean himself up. Before she turned to the waiter he looked in shock over what just happened.
"You ok, yoi?" Marco asked him.
"Yeah…. I think so thanks," He muttered.
