Ok, sorry, this is the REAL Chpt 13. My chapters got all messed up somehow.
Little Foot Clan in season 4, much 4th wall breaking. Warning: kinda uneventful.
Rahzar stood, one leg crossed over another as he leaned on what looked like thin air but felt like a wall, in a large, seemingly endless white space of nothing. He stared into the distance for a while, and sighed. And he waited. And waited. And then he spent a brief moment sharpening his claws, while continuing to wait for something to happen. Nothing did. He sighed again. Eventually, something did happen, but he could hardly say that it was an improvement, as his fellow Foot Clan member Xever made his way up to him. Going from nowhere to nowhere, he has to have come here just to annoy me, he thought.
"Whada you want?" he asked his fishy teammate, feeling annoyed already, even if he was somewhat relieved that there would be a break to his boredom.
Xever snorted, an odd sound considering he breathed water instead of air now, and replied, "Mostly to be back to cracking skulls and fighting turtles, but, alas, since that does not seem to be happening any time soon-"
"You decided that bothering me would be a good enough substitute. Geez" he finished his partner's sentence, ending in a half sigh to himself.
After a beat of silence not long enough to let Xever continue, Rahzar exclaimed the one thought that had been bugging him since before Xever had shown up "Will this season ever end? I only got a few seconds of screen time, and all I got to do was be a hologram that that little twerp of a turtle got to beat up easily!"
"That's not much different from your usual role" mocked Xever in reply.
"Ha ha, very funny" he growled in reply, "at least I've shown up in season 4, have you even done anything?"
"Err…" the fish stammered struggling to either remember a role he had played, or think of a clever comeback, whichever came first.
"That's what I thought"
There was a long moment of silence again, as if they anticipated the fates above to hear their pleas, and the Foot Clan would once again assume their important roles. Nothing continued to happen.
"Well, look at it this way amigo," started Xever, "it could be worse. I know right now Master Shredder is furious at the time travel undoing his ultimate revenge, not to mention how a main villain like himself has been pushed to the side for a season. I haven't seen him this mad since that farm business." he shuddered, almost imperceptibly, but Bradford who had been trained to read his opponents noticed. "At least he isn't taking it out on us, yes?"
He had a point, and Bradford hated that he did. "I guess" he grumbled noncommittally.
"Or you could be like that Malachi kid. He was only in a single episode, and he's still waiting for something to be done with his character. " His neutral face turned to a scowl bringing this up. "He cornered me trying to play some stupid children's board game. I almost wanted to bite him. It would be interesting to see what that would do in this place."
At this point Bradford had started to tune Xever out, who cared if it could be worse,it was bad enough as far as he was concerned. He had been sidelined, that's what it felt like. Sure, he admitted that he wasn't always the most important villain, but he always got to do something as long as the Foot Clan was concerned. Or at the very least show up.
"Hey, mutt, are you even listening to me?"
Rahzar huffed haughtily in amusement, replying "Like I ever do. Maybe if you said somethin that mattered I'd listen."
"Hey, how would you know it doesn't matter if you don't listen?"
He covered his ears at this point, wishing (not for the first or last time) that he wasn't a mutant with stronger than human hearing, and heaved a heavy growly sigh. "I hate you."
"And I hate you as well, but I need to do something, or I just might go insane."
"Oh, yeah? Well, go find someone else to annoy, I'm going somewhere else."
Rolling his yellow eyes, the fish huffed a quick "whatever" and left to find something else to so. Maybe he could find someone to fight...
Rahzar stood from from his leaning position and stretched, while breathing a sigh of relief that his annoying partner was gone. After a long yawn and a quick scratching of his back, he soon settled back to what he had been doing before Xever interrupted. Which was nothing. Remembering how boring that was, he stood up again, and decided he might as well walk around. Maybe he could try to find Tigerclaw, the one member of the Foot that he could actually stand to be around. As he walked into the seemingly endless white distance he passed Master Splinter and Karai, who were talking to each other about the turtles, and he couldn't help but give a short low growl as he passed though he had never liked the princess, he still hated the fact that she had betrayed all of them. Karai gave him glare, but the rat didn't seem to care all that much. He continued on his way, passing clusters of various mutants, and the odd Kraang that was just waiting for their next appearance (which was sure to be sooner than any of his own). As he continued walking into the endless horizon he also saw Master Shredder glaring angrily in the distance, and made sure to give him wide berth. Loyal though he was, he got punished by the Shredder enough on screen, and Shredder definitely wasn't in a good mood at the moment. Unless he was specifically called on, he was going to stay away from his master for the moment.
He passed another group of mutants, as well as a few human background characters (who seemed to be actually grateful to not have to do anything). And then had the unsettling experience of bumping into himself, from when he was Dogpound. Resisting the desire to mock his past self and do some minor gloating about how he no longer had to deal with having a tail, the two Bradfords just exchanged surprised glances before he continued on his way. After an endlessly long amount of time (and, evidently, the Foot Clan was still not back in the series), Rahzar decided it was time to give up the search. Obviously the cat assassin did not want to be found, and in this place it would take forever to find him if he didn't want to be found. So it was back to waiting. And waiting. And cursing the Triceratons for all of this. Scratching behind his ear, he settled back to leaning against the nothingness wall, where he eventually dozed off, dreaming of the day that the Foot Clan would return.
Uneventful story, I guess, but I miss the Foot Clan ;_; I'm so tired of space. R&R Until next chapter.
